Summary: This movie is great
Review: The Bridge on the River Kwai was such an amazing war film. The acting was superb. The character development was amazing. All the camera angles and shots were on target. This is trully a classic movie. This movie has too many good things that I could never write down, so I won't. Just watch it.

Summary: A fantastic plot of tormented drama and human perseverance.
Review: The film is an instant classic. It portrays the horrors of war with an ultra-human determination that is inherent to the British prisoners of the plot. The tangible valor and discipline that is woven into the fabric of "Bridge on the River Kwai" is a tribute to the art of movie-making. It is a true masterpiece of epic proportions.

Summary: PRETTY DAMNED GOOD!
Review: I specifically loved Alec Guiness's love for the bridge... and the realization of his folly... and who can forget the ending? "MADNESS" I loved this movie... a refreshing alternative to the norm.

Summary: A masterpiece.
Review: I always thought "Dr. Zivago" was the best movie I've ever seen...until now. This one blew me away. Outstanding.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Breath taking example of the best of war films
Review: True mix of Hollywood budgets and European film style. Both films confront the sensitive side of the English, at war. While not distracting from the incredible surroundings both films manage to show cultural differences in a very digestible format.

A great set of epics that need watching over one afternoon, at least twice.

Summary: This was such a cool movie!

Summary: Woohoo for David Lean
Review: This is a cool boxed set. I've seen both of these movies, and I love 'em. Everything is just so perfect and entertaining and suspenseful. If you haven't seen these movies yet, then you should. To those unfamiliar with the classics, I'd recommend starting with "The Bridge on the River Kwai", because it's not as long as "Lawrence".
