Summary: VHS Has Everything, the DVD Leaves Alot Out!
Review: Wasted my money on the DVD version which for some reason left out some of the best parts. The VHS is out of print so it costs more, but was worth it. Found a new copy here on Amazon and its fantastic - almost 3 hours long!

Summary: NO EXTREME!
Review: I wish I had known this. The main reason I bought it was for Gare Cherone's contribution. Very disapointed.

Summary: Of historical value
Review: In the mid 80s Queen hit a brick wall. Freddie Mercury had contracted aids and smoking had ruined his voice and exausted him along with Queens constant touring. The rest of the band was fatigued too and needed a break so that they could come back strong. Queen decided that they would stop touring in the summer of 1986 for just a few years and Freddie quit smoking after the Knebworth show in august to save his voice. Then something happened, Freddie found out he had aids in 1988 and Queen were forced (for his weakening strengh and health) to stop performing Live. But after Mercurys death they wanted a tribute for him and here it is, a live album with mostly good talents performing along with Queens survivers and some of the stuffs a real godsend, the only Live versions of songs like The Show Must Go On and Innuendo as well as The Show Must Go On.

Summary: No Extreme? No dice. Don't buy this garbage.
Review: Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. How these "so called" video editors could cut out the very best performance of the entire concert is beyond me. Without the show stopping performance of Extreme and their melody of Queen tunes this is just an average concert. Whoever is responsible for cutting Extreme out of the final cut should be ashamed of themselves. They need to find a new line of work because evidently they aren't even qualified to edit my home movies.

What a disappointment this DVD was. :(

Summary: Don't even bother - save your money
Review: The DVD is a dissapointment. Over 1/2 of the music footage is missing.

It's a "tribute" concert, yet the biggest tribute to Freddie, Extremes medley of Queen songs (which is BY FAR the show stealer) and them performing "Love of my Life" w/ Brian May are stricken from the DVD.

Do yourself a favor, hunt down the VHS copy. If you threw out your VCR, it's worth buying another one to watch it with.

Summary: Totally disappointed
Review: i can't wait to see the dvd version that i have been waited for years to released. However to my disappointment, it's no more in the oringinal full version, such as the opening perfomance by
Metallica, Extreme and others. i was so regret that i gave away my LD version to my friend. i wish that the producing company could release the full version. i knew all the fans out there wouldn't mind to buy it one more time

Summary: I came out of my skin when I saw what was missing!
Review: I too own the laserdisc of this show and got the DVD for the new mix in DTS. The sound is good, but it's the content they cut (the opening acts) such as Metallica, Def Leppard, GnR, Extreme and others. I would have gladly forfeited the "extra materials" for the original show instead of a bunch of new footage that was just as well served on the cutting room floor. Don't get me wrong, the performances they left in are great...but shame on them for cutting what they did...typical non-musician producer. The 2-star drop is for that reason alone. Glad I didn't sell the laserdisc!
