Summary: Classic College Comedy
Review: What is there to say? It's gross, disgusting and the main character is a "P-I-G, pig". It is also the funniest modern college comedy out there. The cast of then unknowns have pretty much all gone on to bigger and better things. Belushi steals the show and his level of physical comedy in this movie shows him at his best and funniest.

Summary: "...and that foot is me!"
Review: This is my personal favorite comedy of all time.
And it's a movie Hollywood is STILL trying to repeat and never seems to get right (from PORKY'S and BACHELOR PARTY to AMERICAN PIE and VAN WILDER, they just can't get lightning to strike twice).
What makes ANIMAL HOUSE so great?
It started when the National Lampoon magazine planned to make a movie of its side-splitting high school yearbook parody (the setting was changed from high school to college to include more adult humor). Some of the funniest stuff I've ever read was in the pages of Lampoon in the 1970's and these were the guys writing the script.
Then a perfect cast came together. I personally believe that one of the great strengths of ANIMAL HOUSE is that the "bad guys" are as well-crafted and hilarious as the Deltas: Dean Wormer's "It's time someone put their foot down...and that foot is me" and Douglas C. Niedermeyer's ROTC rants are as quoted as often as "Toga! Toga!"
They knew they had something with John Belushi: I've read an early draft of the script and, after Belushi was signed, they consolidated three different characters to give "Bluto" more screen time. A very smart move.
I also believe director John Landis gave the film an affectionate, nostalgic look as well as brought a wonderful timing to every scene (holding on the expression of a character before cutting to the next scene added more laughs to several scenes).

I know I've given a film school flunky's opinion of this film, but the main reason ANIMAL HOUSE works so well: it's hilarious!

Summary: TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!
Review: DAMN!!!! One of the most funniest movies of all times! It truly defines what college life is and the antics shown in this film are still valid until today. With John Belushi as Bluto, you're guaranteed to be laughing and falling off the seat when you're watching this one. Truly a classic...FOOD FIGHT!!!!!

Summary: All time Classic Comedy
Review: In my opinion, the funniest movie ever made. John Belushi is absolutely hysterical, particularly as he makes his way through the cafeteria. Classic line: "What we need is an incredibly stupid gesture on somebody's part" .... "and we're just the ones to do it".

Summary: "I'm a zit....get it?"
Review: 'Animal House' is by far the best movie to come out of the world of National Lampoon. This movie is hilarious in all its raunchy humor. By far, the best American comedy ever made!
Faber College 1962: a time when you were either for the system or against it. For the fraternity brothers of Delta Tau Chi, rebellion was a way of life. Throwing crazy pledge parties, wild toga parties, and just doing the things that nobody else dared to do. They lived by their rules and their rules only.
I absolutely love this film. I'm a huge fan of the late great John Belushi so the first time I saw it, I knew right then that it'd be very enjoyable. Even though he doesn't have very many scenes, I'm sure others will agree that he steals the show and delivers the performance that has immortalized him.
The rest of the cast that includes Tim Matheson, Bruce McGill, Peter Reigert,Donald Sutherland, Thomas Hulce and Stephen Furst, just to name a few, bring to life the wacky characters America will never forget!
I highly recommend this movie! Let the party begin.."TOGA! TOGA!"

Summary: One of the best ever!!!!!!!
Review: If you have ever wanted a good laugh, then WATCH this movie. It comes highly recommended by me. So therefore, it must be good. If you have ever wondered what college is really like, then this is the movie for you. From being placed on double-secret probation by the Dean, to bad mouthing the United States of America the laughs just dont stop. With a cast like this, it was bound to be a classic and will remain that way for years to come.

Summary: All time best movie...in the 70's
Review: Stuipd jokes, drinking, drugs, sex, food fights, cheating, breaking and entering....everything a good movie should have you will find inside Animal House, which I condiser one of the best movies of 1978, even though I wasn't born until 3 years later. This movie is based on what college life was like in the 1960's, with all the drinking, drugs, sex, parties and crazy people in this movie. The funniest characters are of course Bluto, Flounder and Pinto who fools around with the 14 year old Mayor's daughter of all girls *LOL* This movie is just one laugh after another, most people know what Animal House is and have seen it 50+ times, but if you haven't even seen it once you owe the late John Boluchi the respect of seeing at least once. Besides, thats all it takes. Once you see it the first time it becomes a classic hit to you that you want to watch over and over again or at least any time there is nothing on tv or your cabel is out.

Summary: Grab a brew, don't cost nothing
Review: Grab this movie and never let it get away from you! One of the funniest movies ever made, EVER!! Although most of the humor/jokes are rather basic and, at times, disgusting (depending on your point of view, of course) they are none the less completely hilarious. John Belushi was a god when it came to comedy and nowhere is that more evident than in this movie, his Bluto is an icon in American comedy, as well as college campus' everywhere. Anyone who has spent any time on a college campus over the past 20+ years probably has the majority of this movie committed to memory. If you're in the mood for a totally outrageous, funny and histerical movie, then this is the one for you.
What? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Summary: "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."
Review: Classic 1978 comedy from young director John Landis. Frat parties would never be the same. Toga parties might not have been born in this movie, but they became a national sensation in the late 1970's and 80's thanks to Blutarsky & Co. Count the soon-to-be-stars that came out of this film... John Belushi (OK, all ready a 'SNL' star), Tim Matheson, Tom Hulce, Kevin Bacon, Karen Allen, Bruce McGill... and check out Otis Day's band with a young Robert Cray playing the bass guitar. You'll notice there are no massive explosions or on-screen computer trickery... yet this comedy still holds up nicely decades later. This film relies on sight gags, some gross humor and brilliant comic writing and imagination. "Animal House" will always and forever be one step above Double Secret Probation...

Summary: Blutoshi (John Belushi is Bluto)
Review: I remember when Bluto put some mashed potatoes in his mouth and punched his cheeks so all of the food popped out. "I'm a zit, get it?" That was pure immortal. The late John Belushi played the disgusting Bluto and was part of the Delta House. College life was defined in the 1960's: the toga party, the snooping around, the horse trick, and much more. Kevin Bacon is also in this for some reason. Always party hard and break any guitars that deserve to be retired. John Belushi was a comic genius and will always be remembered for this great movie and "The Blues Brothers."
