Summary: Another good Hitchcock, another fine performance
Review: Another entertaining Hitchcock movie that shows you don't need to be bloody to make a memorable murder film. In this movie a woman (Kelly) who has an affair with a writer (Cummings) is going to be killed by her husband (Milland) by a perfect murder. Unfortunatly the perfect murder didn't turn out to be so perfect... Excellent direction from Hitchcock, and a fine performance by the two leads. It replicates real life murder attemts very well, but the plot falls at some points.

Summary: the ultimate betrayl
Review: the movie was beautiful. the scene i remember the most is when tony opens the door with the latch key. Grace Kelly's face is amazing she knows it to be true but she does not want it to be true.

Summary: excellent plot, directing & acting. Wonderful movie
Review: The screenplay of Dial M for Murder is awesome. This movie raises the question of "how to muder your spouse without going to jail?" Interesting question. Hitchcock shows you that killing someone is not that easy. The movie is nearly 100% shooted in an apartment only. Nothing big, no stunts. Very tight budget I guess. But it is very very good. Ray Milland's perfomance is excellent. I like his hair a lot

Summary: A murderous gem which shows Hitch at his playful best.
Review: I am very fond of this film but I recognise that is not one of Hitchcock's masterpieces. Having said that Dial 'M' for Murder includes one of Hitchcock's greatest murder scenes showing that it's done best with scissors (unlike the recent poor remake 'A Perfect Murder). The murder scene clearly has sexual symbolism and repeated viewings show other deeper meanings. The performances shine in this enclosed gem. Leading in the acting stakes is Grace Kelly with an accomplished and complex performance. Ray Milland's charming villain plays with audience loyalties and I found myself cheering the villain on against the weakest character inthe film which is also feebly played by Robert Cummings. The film is placed at the beginning of hitchcock's golden period and deseves it's minor place. It's an entertaining and suspenseful gem which cannot but delight all who see it.

Summary: Hitch does it again!
Review: After a serie of failures in the late 40s, Hitchcock managed to pull himself back together to cook for us some exciting thrillers, as the master knows, beginning with Strangers on a Train and Dial M for Murder, through Vertigo and North by Northwest. Dial M for Murder is a wonderful film with great actors, especially Ray Milland, and with an intersting, breathtaking, mind-provoking plot. Hitch's detective films, such as Dial M for Murder, Stage Fright or Frenzy always depress me because it makes me think how much detectives in those films are clever and in life unfortunately they are not.

Summary: A BIG disappointment from the master of suspence
Review: Even though I am a hard-core Hitchcock fan, I didn't really enjoy this corny film about a man who hires his friend to murder his wife knowing that she is having an affair with another man (what a plot). Slippery, slimy and slow but like all of Hitch's films, this one dose have it's moments.

Summary: Lots of Twists and Turns, But Slow in Parts
Review: I recently viewed this movie for the first time. I thought the film was brilliantly acted and I loved the various twists and turns that the plot took. Very few of the plot turns were predictable at all, but they did shot just how extemporaneous Tony (the husband of Grace Kelly's character) could be in his plans. My only complaint was that the movie did seem to take a long time to get where it finally got (well over two hours). Some of the dialogue seemed far too long, but the fact that the plot kept taking its various turns makes up for this.

Summary: Superb!
Review: This is undoubtedly one of Hitchcock's classics and one of my favourite all time films. The cast and the suspense are second to none. The conclusion is gripping. One to watch over and over again.
