Summary: Romero's masterpiece. Zombie humor, with a dash of gore!
Review: This instant classic cult movie surpasses Night of the Living Dead by leaps and bounds. Drunken rednecks with shotguns, flesh starved zombies; with a cow's mentality at feeding time, chomping whomever they can get a hold of, and comedic zombie misfortunes. What more does one need? A very satisfying film for the horror/comedy fan.

Summary: Greatest Zombie Movie Ever Made!!!
Review: This is my favorite zombie movie. It has a plot like that of Night of the Living Dead. So if you like Night of the Living Dead... The world is being overrun by zombies, so four people take refuge in a gigantic shopping mall. they have unlimited supplies and can holdout forever if they want. But somehow the zombies get inside and wreak havoc. Enjoy!!!

Review: You will not be disappointed by this film! George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" was released in 1979. Will please any gore hound and\or a plot seeker. I saw this film three years ago, and it's still my favorite! Nothing compares to Dawn!

Summary: Best zombie movie ever made!
Review: In my opinion this is the best zombie movie ever made. As hard as it is to imagine, theres actually a zombie movie out there with good acting, storyline, gore and an amazing soundtrack that enhances an already great film. Character development is the movies strongest point. As the film goes on you will feel for the characters and their plight as they try to survive a world slowly becoming overrun by zombies. The action scenes were very well planned and executed. My favorites are the swat members initial raid in the shopping mall and the scene involving using trucks to block the entrances. I wont give any details so I dont ruin the film for anyone but when you do watch it you will see what I mean. The idea of using the shopping mall is genius for this type of film. Three cheers to romero for bringing us this film and hopefully there will be more movies of this caliber coming from him in the future

Review: Oh My God! Oh My God! I couldn't believe what I saw after I turned the TV off. This has great acting and gore. Everything was great except for the zombies. They just looked a little too human. But other than that this is a must watch movie.

Review: You will either love this film or despise it!!! Zombies have taken over the world and a handful of survivers take refuge in a deserted shopping mall. Though this movie drags in places, it is still a good film. I would'nt reccomend this film to anyone. It is an aquired taste for those with strong stomachs!!!

Summary: More than just a gore flick.
Review: This is not only a great horror movie, but it is a commentary on American consumerism. Many people don't realize this because they are too caught up in the horror/gore mode. The underlying theme is that Americans love to shop and have as many possessions as they can. The reason the dead come back to the mall when they "wake" is because they spent so much time there. When you watch this movie keep this in mind and see how much more you get out of it. George Romero (a native from my hometown) is much more talented than he is given credit for. (The director's cut has even more gore in it, including the full intestine eating scene.)

Summary: If you can stand a few flaws you'll love this film
Review: Dawn of the Dead is a unique horror film. Instead of going for the scares, it sets out to make a commentary on society and ridicule it. Every true zombie fan knows the plot of the movie. Four ordinary people, two swat team officers, a helicopter pilot, and a newsreporter take a news chopper and escape the chaos from the cities. They take refuge inside a mall filled with zombies. Their first plan of action is to rid the entire mall of zombies and this sets in motion a true splatter film as we see head sprays from gunshots to the head over and over and over and over and, well, you get the point. Eventually, they do rid the zombies from the mall. Then they claim the shopping center as their home and grow attached to it. Trouble is still out there, though, as there are still thousands of zombies outside the mall plus a biker gang ready to invade the mall. I actually love this film, but there were so many technical problems that I subtracted two stars and gave it a three star review. One problem are the fake looking zombies. I understand that director George Romero was aiming for comic book style violence, but it really hurts in the film's lack of scares. Another flaw (a major one) is the acting. Only Ken Foree and Scott Reininger fare well. That's actually not bad when there's only four central characters, but whoa, Gaylen Ross and David Emge are stale and monotonous in their performances. There are also other minor flaws like two zombies running and the same zombie killed twice. Not to mention the humor in this film is overrated. Still, I really liked this film a lot so if you should watch it and hate it, give it a second shot. You never know.
