Review: This is my favorite movie of all time, beating out Godfather and Silence of The Lambs. Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe are two of my favorite actors of all time, and they are wonderful in this film. Tony Curtis is hilarious as Geraldine (and that Cary Grant impersonation!) The best movie ever made! If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and rent or buy it, you won't regret it! Billy Wilder is a genius!

Review: I have first seen this movie as a kid of 10 or so. Knowing that Marilyn died, but very little about Lemon and Curtis back then, (being a kid in Central Europe) I was mesmerized by the performances and the script even at that age. Billy Wilder was a genius. The train scenes, the courtship between Joe E. Brown and Lemon, are only two of too many to mention. This film must and will be remembered as a comedy classic of all times. To this date, I have watched the film at least two dozen times. It feels like the first time, everytime. In my choice of film classics, there are only three, this one, Days of Wine & Roses and Magnificent Seven.

Review: One of the best movies I have ever seen. Lemmon, Curtis and Monroe should have all received an Academy Award for their performances. I have watched the movie at least a dozen times and still fall off my chair laughing at the very end. What a MOVIE! Wish they could still make them that way.

Review: The courtship of Joe E. Brown and Jack Lemmon is one of the funniest ever. I believe that Marilyn is one of the best comedic actresses ever, based mainly on this movie. The final scene is funnier than many ENTIRE movies of today.

Review: What can I say? I first saw this movie in the early 1980s when I was a teenager--it has remained in my personal "top 5 comedies" list ever since! A MUST for every video collection. I'm going to buy the CD soundtrack too!

Review: My parents made me watch this movie when I was about 10 years old. At first I complained about the black and white, but today I thank them for making me watch this delightful movie. Set in the roaring 20's, it pokes a lot of fun at future events that will soon unravel. Tony Curtis does a spot on match for Cary Grant, Jack Lemmon is so comfortable in drag that is so positively subverse for the 1950's, and Marilyn Monroe has one of her sexiest performances. This movie combines sweetness and slapstick into a raunchy love story. I made all my friends watch it, and some of them never even heard of Cary Grant. Is that possible?!?
