Review: This has got to one of the wackiest flicks I have ever seen. Bette Davis is deffinitely missing a few cards in her deck. (love the parakeet lunch) Joan is awesome as the poor crippled sister. I guess that will teach Baby Jane to drink & drive Huh ??

Review: This movie is reall fabulous. Bette is so mean and crazy, Joan is so helpful and so scared of her sister. This movie represents all the people who at one time are sick of their siblings and want to destroy them. Bette should've win the Oscar that year( she was nominated). Her portrayal of Bab Jane is so scary and so real she could be one of your siblings!!!!!!!!!

Review: The funniest part of this movie is the way Davis phrases her lines: "Ya'rn ever gonna sell this house, Blanche. And ya'rn ever gonna leave it!". Hilarious! Otherwise, it's an overlong movie that makes its two stars unnecessarily grotesque; after all the money both women made for Hollywood, it's a pretty ungallant way to depict them. Robert Aldrich is a hack director if ever there was one.

Review: Honest portrayal of feuding sisters. Happens in my family all the time. When they all think they're stars, anything is possible. I actually saw that Rat Dish presented once. Probably you have too. Naturally, the wheelchair angle violates the AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT. But they don't care: THE STAIRS JUSTIFY THE MEANS.

Review: this movie is incredible because time doesn't show. Bette davis is absolutely incredible as the fierce Jane and Joan's brilliant as usual. It was Bette who said " you got it all, phoney joan and crazy bette"; here you go. This is the type of movie you'll watch several times in a year.

Summary: A Beautifully Produced DVD!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: "Baby Jane," ...one of my ALL-TIME favortie films. The print is superb. The picture is crystal clear. I've noticed details that I had before missed on both the VHS and Laser prints - i.e. the boy who requests "I've Written A Letter To Daddy" in the opening sequence has freckles....I never noticed that. The new sountrack is also a winner. (The box states that it's 5.1 ch, but it's not, also there is no French audio, only Spanish.) The Spanish sountrack is entertaining, although it's difficult to distinguish the two actresses voices, but still a hoot to hear "Blanca" and "Juana" go at it in another language. Also, the supplemental material is quite interesting. The production stills are in COLOR. This makes Davis' make-up even more dramatic and Crawford's costume is surprisingly scarlet red. A must-have for any Davis or Crawford fan. This movie was definitely ahead of it's time and still is one of the creepiest and shocking portrayals of sibling rivalry. BUY THIS FILM!!!!!!!

Summary: A Highly Repeatable Movie
Review: I have seen "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" countless times over the years. Maybe it has such staying power because it works on so many levels: grand guignol horror, black comedy, dysfuctional family tragedy, as a high camp pairing of two longtime Hollywood rivals...a movie for many moods, therefore, well worth owning. The VHS version I saw several years ago had a cropped and slightly squeezed image, so the DVD is a significant improvement. Too bad Warner Home Video didn't see fit to include the original theatrical trailer that's on the laser disc. Also, as a former French major, I was disappointed that the alternate spoken language on the DVD is not French as the box states, but Spanish. Still, it's fun to hear Baby Jane yell, "Pero estas en ella, Blanche! Estas en esa silla!"

Review: I think that What Ever Happened to Baby Jane was a wonderful movie. Bette Davis really made you hate her in her nasty role as Baby Jane Hudson. She was so great!! Only a real actress can make you hate her by merely playing a role as a crazy woman. Joan Crawford was also wonderful!! This movie was basically "Good sister/Bad sister" I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who likes a good thriller. If you like this movie then take a look at The Bad Seed it is also wonderful but make sure you get the original version and not the remake!!! END
