Review: I often see the field of animation always changing with the tides. Many people now respect characters like Spongbob Squarepants, Jimmy Neutron, and Cosmo & Wanda from The Fairly Odd Parents, but I honestly don't see a lot of respect for older animation from the 1940's. It is a constant problem, because when that laughter dies, the animation of Termite Terrace fades away. For the original Looney Tunes from the 1930's to the 1960's, it truly brought out beyond anything you could ever imagine in innovation from Bugs, Daffy, Porky, and other well know members of the supporting cast. Yet, the animation just is as classic as you could ever expect.

The Looney Tunes: Golden Collection, is a compilation of 56 Warner Brothers classics that have been digitally remastered in animation right down to each frame cell. Although the animation has been remastered well visually, the key of the music on some of the cartoons could've been improved a bit on cartoons like Rabbit Of Seville, Rabbit Fire, High Diving Hare & Bully For Bugs. Yet, the animation for each discs is just thrilling for each cartoon.

Disc 1: is focused on Bugs Bunny with classic toons like Rabbit Seasoning, Rabbit's Kin, Big House Bunny with Yosemite Sam, and Long-Haired Hare. The cartoons look absolutely great, and the feel for Bugs is better than it was originally made years ago. Still, the musical key could've been tuned up in some cartoons.

Disc 2: Daffy & Porky have been paired very well in the cartoons they've starred in including classics like Deduce You Say, the smashing cult cartoon Duck Dodgers In The 24 1/2th Century, and The Scarlet Pumpernickel. Just like Disc: 1, only a few cartoons musically could've been in tune again to its origiinal musical feel.

The last 2 discs are were spotlighted as they have been packaged on the inexpensive Spotlight Collection, with great cartoons like Baton Bunny, Bugs & Thugs, A Broken Leghorn with Foghorn Leghorn, and the Oscar-winning Speedy Gonzales.

The DVD discs also includes comments from legendary animators including the late Chuck Jones who died in 2002, and the late Friz Freleng who died in 1995, as well as people who helped make these great cartoons from Termite Terrace, and movie historians Jeff Beck and the legendary Leonard Maltin. Still, even though there are faults here, the Looney Tunes Golden Collection is a good reflection on classic cartoons. This Truly Is All Folks!!
