Summary: Great Entertainment For The Whole Family
Review: The problem with most movies and shows on DVD are, they are either just for kids or just for adults. Finally a great collection that everyone in the family can watch. We purchased the Golden Collection yesterday and have already made it through 2 of the 4 DVDs. My 4 year old, 8 year old and 39 year old (wife) laughed out loud. Even if we had seen some of the cartoons on the Cartoon Network they were still funny. I don't know alot about technical specifications, but the picture and sound are great. This is a great DVD set and a good buy.

Summary: GOOD BUT NOT GREAT!
Review: THE CARTOONS AND EXTRAS ON THIS DISK LOOK GREAT, BUT FOR THE MONEY PAID I THINK THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A LOT MORE LOONEY TUNES ON THESE DISK BECAUSE A LOT OF GREAT STUFF IS MISSING. WHAT'S THE RUSH DOC? WHERE IS "WHAT'S OPERA DOC?" I KNOW THERE IS A LOT MORE FOGHORN LEGHORN THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THIS COLLECTION AMONG MANY OTHER THINGS AND THERE COLD HAVE BEEN A WHOLE LOT MORE YOSEMITE SAM, MARVIN THE MARTIAN BUT THERE JUST IS NOT ENOUGH. LOT'S OF STUFF MISSING AND I HOPE THAT THEY WILL MAKE IT TO DVD SOON AND MAYBE WITH A MORE AFFORDABLE PRICE TAG.

Summary: A Promising Start for Collectors.
Review: The GOLDEN COLLECTION is an excellent start for collecting Warner Bros. shorts on DVD. I can't wait for future volumes. You won't be disappointed with this collection. We can all argue about what should or should not have been included, but the important thing is that Warner Bros. is finally getting their act together and bringing Bugs and company into the 21st century. Get your copy now and send them the message that we all want more! These timeless classics deserve royal treatment.

Summary: Looney Tune Cartoons
Review: I am really happy they decided to bring out the looney tune cartoons. I am just disappointed that the Singing Frog is not on it and more of the Road Runner cartoons. I have the single laserdiscs of the cartoons and are great. I just hope more come out on Dvd which is way better now, plus once your laserdisc machine dies you won't be able to watch them . I also love Happy Harmonies Classic Cartoons and would love that also to come out
in dvd.

Summary: Worth ten times its weight in gold!
Review: I have been looking forward to the release of this DVD, but I was concerned about its quality as well as how much trust they would place into the viewers (unlike Rocky and Bullwinkle who felt it necessary to put a logo in the bottom right corner of all shorts). After purchasing it today, I rushed home to explore. No worries though, these discs should have been pressed in gold!! The extras are amazing and in depth! The organization of the discs are excellent, and I hope that each additional director is released with this formatting. If you are even a slight fan of the classic Looney Tunes, then sell your car and refinance your house to get this DVD collection. It will absolutely not disappoint, which shows that special care was taken by Warner Bros. to be sure to deliver to the demand of decades of fans. I am eager to sell every other DVD I own to continue purchasing additional DVD collections as the classics are finally released!!

Summary: Time Will Tell
Review: These shorts were picked because most of them are the best of the best. Cartoons like "What's Opera, Doc?" and "One Froggy Evening" have been aired millions upon millions of times on television reruns, which doesn't make them bad, but let the other cartoons shine, not just the popular ones. This disc set contains an invaluable wealth of information, including interviews, the rare John Canemaker documentary "The Boys from Termite Terrace", and music only tracks. It is well worth the price tag and is nowhere near being a 'ploy'.Yes, the Golden Age of Looney Tunes sets were nice (I personally own volumes 1-3), but they featured un-remastered shorts with no extra features. These are restored, and judging by the 2 shorts previewed on the "Yankee Doodle Dandy" DVD, the restorations will blow you away. Buy this set, and more will come in the future with even rarer cartoons.

Review: Ok, ok, Warners didn't release all the cream of the crop on the first DVD collection. Just as well - a large portion of the country could be hospitalized if allowed to watch that many cartoons at one time. Yes, I love "What's Opera Doc?" and "A Froggy Evening" but I can run them in my mind's eye without effort (except for chortling, of course). I'm delighted they are scouring for some less well-known but equally clever shorts by Avery, Jones et al. These are, in an era where the term has become cliched, truly a joy for all generations. My 85-year old mother enjoys them as much as my 9-year old son. And the list of missing cartoons guarantees we've all got something to look forward to next Christmas, too!! Hossenpfeffer!

Summary: I haven't viewed it yet, but...
Review: I'll tell you, there has been a lot of people complaining that they will release the really good episodes on another DVD set sometime as a ploy to make us buy two sets. You know what? LET THEM. I will buy it just as I am going to buy this set. Who doesn't want all the "ok" ones anyway. Looney Tunes are the best cartoons that were ever drawn. They are intelligent and worth anyone's time to see even the "ok" ones.

Summary: Good selections but.......
Review: ....where is "One Froggy Evening"? That episode that starred the then unnamed Michigan J. Frog, or The Elliot Ness and haunted mansion episodes starring Bugs Bunny? I think that the guys in the Warner Bros. marketing department realized that they can take about 30 great episodes and mix them in with 26 "just o.k" episodes, and then about a year from now, release ANOTHER collection with the other 30 or so GREAT episodes and do the very same thing.
