Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great diverse music
Review: I have seen several of the Gaither videos, and of course many of the TV show/infomercials. This is the best one, in my opinion, and a good mix of the old and the new. The Crabbe Family's "Through the Fire" was exceptional, and Charlotte Ritchie's version of "Go Rest High on the Mountain" was excellent. Both drew well-deserved standing ovations and encores. I am not sure why Ritchie does not come out from the shadows of the Easters. I am not a huge fan of the overly-twangy Easters, but "Goin' Away Party" was very good. Allison Duncan Spears also had a great song, and another standing ovation. Traditional gospel (with banjo and fiddle) was covered by the Lewis Family, and Russ Taff was great on "Praise God." There was a tolerable dose of Mark Lowry's schtick, and some other good comedy. Excellent DVD if you like this genre.
