Summary: fabbo!
Review: Okay, so I don't have the DVD set, but I'm a big fan. Probably cuts back the story to a reasonable amount of time and no commercials ^_^.

Summary: Simply amazing!!
Review: Rurouni Kenshin is my favorite anime series period. Everything in my opinion is superb. The story is well thought out and paced very well. The music is terrific, as is the art work and animation. This box set includes the frist 27 episodes in the series.

The series starts off buy giving you insight on who Kenshin used to be and how hes trying to repent for what he did. It introduces the main characters and builds their relationships. There is a lot of action to be found here, but quite a lot of humor too. The humor is typical anime fashion and might turn some people off, but you would be a fool to do so.

If you do decide to get this box set be sure to check out the OVA's Trust and Betrayal first. These two dvds will show you Kenshin when he was "Battousai the Manslayer" and you will understand why he wants to repent for what he did in the TV series.

Summary: Watch it
Review: Rurouni Kenshin is the best anime series I've ever seen. This first season (the Tokyo arc) is a great introduction to the main characters, to the central themes of the story, and also to the mystery of the hero's former life as Hitokiri Battousai. Its detailed portrayal of Meiji-era Japan is absolutely fascinating, the series is almost worth watching for some basic lessons on Japanese history alone.

Review: The Rorouni Kenshin series is the BEST anime series I have ever seen. It is full of action, drama, and adventure. I have every episode ever shown on Cartoon Network taped, and let me say that those tapes are getting pretty worn. I would suggest viewing this series to any anime lover.

Summary: great series terrible packaging
Review: The Rurouni Kenshin wandering samurai -premium box set is a great addition to anyones anime collection, but its mared by poor disk packaging (the disks come in cardboard sleeves). The Content of the show is excellent and is a great mix of of humor and action. What saddens and fustrates me is the decision by Media Blasters to package the individual disks in loose cardboard sleeves, the disks fall out of the sleeves during shipping and cause really large scratchs on the actual disks, which in turn leads to some of them being unplayable if the box set has been man handled enough.

Take my box set for example disk one was basically ruined with deep scratchs along the outer edge of the disks and a large scar on the centerline of the disk. So please for the next kenshin box set ask media blasters to include either traditional/ double Amaray type cases or atleast slim CD-ROM/CD cases to prevent shipping damage. Great series tho just be happy that amazon.com has a great return policy.

Summary: Rurouni Kenshin: The Meiji Tales
Review: The Tokyo Arc introduces us to are main characters Kenshin Himura, Kaoru Kamiya, Yahiko Myojin, Sanosuke Sagara, and Megumi Takani.

1st Episode: While out walking the streets of Tokyo, Kenshin Himura is attacked by a young woman (Kaoru) after their encounter, Kaoru runs off after hearing a whistle from the policemen. Kaoru attacks another man (who claims to be Battousai the manslayer, which was the reason she attacked Kenshin; she thought Kenshin was him) but is almost killed. Who comes to save her? None other than... Kenshin! Later on, Kaoru offers Kenshin to stay at her dojo. When nighttime falls, Kenshin has gone and Kaoru thinks he's gone for good. When Kaoru has a nightmare about the same man claiming to be Battousai, and as she's looking up the book of all the previous students of the dojo [Note: Her father was the master there; she is now the assitant master since her father has passed away] she finds out the man claiming to be Battousai is now other then Gohei Hiruma, a student disbanded from using the style of her father. Suddenly the door to the dojo opens and Gohei and his men are standing there. As Kaoru trys to attack Gohei (in which he picks her up by the collar rather easily) him and his men are about to kill her when Kenshin shows up at the door... To make a long story short: Kenshin knocks out all the men and Gohei with his sakabato(reversed-blade sword) and Kaoru learns that Kenshin IS actually the REAL Battousai the manslayer. Apparently he has stopped killing, became a rurouni(wanderer) for 10 years now, and is trying to save people in repent for all the people he killed.

Woo! Long summary, but I love this series!

My opinion: Best episodes of these DVD's: 28-31

I only have two DVD's of RK which are the last two for the Kyoto Arc (2nd Season) But if this DVD series is as good as my last two then I would highly recommend it.

P.S.- Cartoon Network stinks! They took RK off! Glad I had gotten into Rurouni Kenshin in the year 2000 with my own money! Besides, I heard they had HEAVILY edited Rurouni Kenshin. So I feel sorry for all of you who got in to Rurouni Kenshin because of Cartoon Network!

Summary: Great!
Review: This is a great anime! My favorite! But this, as in all animes, is about 3x cheaper on E-Ba.y.
Highly recommended :]

Summary: If you are planning on watching RK for the first time...
Review: This is a great deal to get the first season of this great anime. Like other people said, the first season is not too exciting, but it introduces the memorable characters for the dark second season, The Kyoto Arc. And believe me, once you see the real Battousai in the second season you won't be able to let go.
My only complaint is the packaging, the dvds are going to get scratched in those slip-things no matter how well you take care of them, that's a big minus, but you can always put them in your own slim jewel boxes ^_^

Summary: I Love It!
Review: This is best anime I've ever seen. I've watched the whole Kenshin series. I really recommend buying the whole series! Now, check out the independent sellers because you can get the first 48 episodes for a low price. Then you can just get the third set with amazon. Amazon has a great decorated box set.
Also, check out the OVA's and the Samurai X movie. This whole set is so beatifully drawn!

Summary: My wait is (nearly) over.
Review: This is Box Set 1 of 3.

Kenshin is a great series in it's original (Japanese) format. The dub is somewhat bad with name mispronouciations and the actors seem to stress the bad pronounciation. But still, as in an edit standpoint, they didn't, as far as I've seen.

^-^ Kenshin still is a great series, and buying 3 box sets is a lot more cost effecient compaired to 22 volumes. ^-^
