Summary: Anime masterpiece does not describe this series
Review: This is a story so deep that not even Star Wars can compare with it in it's natural development of characters and change of story.

Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon, is a character all in his own. When we first meet him, he is a clumsy goof that no one can believe is the vicious outlaw he's labeled as. He doesn't fire off his gun, chases after all the pretty girls, stuffs his face with donuts, drinks away all his sorrows at the local bar, and generally shows no sign of a warrior. But this is all an act. His skill is not in his gun but in what he is and can do. the name of the series also takes place in this as there are three main guns he has.

what shines out about the series is how the characters develop throughout the series. When we first meet Vash he's a bumbling oaf who refuses to kill anyone even if he must suffer. But he is exposed to so much death as we go on, after we start seeing that bounty hunters are not the only one's after him, we start seeing a darker side to him, as well as a more serious and caring side. He isn't the only one who develops either. Nicholas D Wolfwood, Meryl Strife, and Milly all change throughout the series. And it's not untill the midle of the series do we even begin to be exposed to why everything has happened to him. And that is when we are exposed to the main theme, the idea of the series, and it's at the end we realise that the director displayed this theme perfectly.

while some would say this is not for kids, I personally think it's something they should watch and be taught about, it's something they should learn to understand. After all, there's part of Vash that is like the kid in all of us in the beginning of the series. This is a series that will be remembered for being such a enthrawling tale that continued to bring us back for more.

Review: It took me just over a week to finish this 26 episode masterpiece and it was just that, a masterpiece. This breaks into my top 3 favorite anime series' as no.2 (number 1 being Cowboy Bebop and 3 being Hellsing). It is the story of an outlaw with 60 billion double-dollars on his head who is referred to as Vash the Stampede, Vash, or the "Humanoid Typhoon". But he really isn't bad at all. He just has a bad reputation because trouble follows him everywhere. He is joined by Millie and Meryl who are insurance reps. who want to get money from him for all the property he destroyed. Of course not intentionally. His evil brother Knives also follows him everywhere and tries to kill him. But Vash doesn't want to kill because Rem wouldn't have liked that. (you have to see the show to get what I'm talking about).

P.S. - As far as content is concerned, this anime is relatively clean except for some sort-of offensive language, tense moments, and some very mild gore.

Summary: An awesome anime that begins comic, and ends tragic.
Review: The $$60,000,000,000 man.

The humanoid typhoon.

Vash The Stampede.

An anime that begins very lighthearted and comic. Yet as it continues shows itself to be unique for its main characters. Vash is not some self rightous gunman, cold and unyielding. He has more in common with Shinji Akari (Neon Genesis) then with Spike Spiegal (Cowboy Bebop). Taught from childhood that noone has the right too take the life of another, vash has tried too honor his surrogate mothers words. Fearing too kill and Feeling remorse when even his enemies die. Vash's comic goofiness, gluttonous love for doughnuts, and exuberant flirtation for a pretty face (even if that woman so happens too be pointing a gun at him at the time) is merely a mask for his tortured soul within. An alien, with great powers, long life, and intellegence; he and his twin brother knives have always disagreed on a simple matter since children. over the years, thier differances have engulffed a world, and brought many innocents into thier feud.

A striking anime, very different from many that has come before it. Vash's melancholy and remorse about people dying, is deep and heartfelt. And the characters around him help too make this story, a worth while one. with adequette animation by todays standards. Music that is also, merely adequette. This is not macross Zero or X. the production values are not state of the art by todays standards. But the story, is timeless, and moving.

Summary: I love it! A complete series masterpiece!
Review: Trigun is essentially Rurouni Kenshin with guns. I believe that is the best way to describe it. The similarities are quite striking - the hero protects people with weapons, which are, by definition, designed to injure, maim and kill. Also like Kenshin, Trigun mixes action and drama with comedy, although its transition from serious drama to light-hearted comedy works much better than in Kenshin, in my view.

However, where Kenshin tells the story of man's triumph over adversity (the worst that happens is Kenshin turning to the Battousai without actually killing anyone, due to luck or other factors), Trigun actually takes that a step further and shows the effect of the guilt on Vash, when he 'crosses the line'. This is shown very well in his confrontation with Legato later on in the series.

Trigun has a reputation of having filler episodes throughout its beginning, but if filler is defined as a 'one episode storyline', then the entire series (this applies to other series as well) is simply a 10-hour lump of filler. Episodes that do not advance the primary plot do not bother me, but an excessive amount of them can ruin the experience. More important than advancing the plot is making the viewing experience enjoyable. Ghost in the Shell is an example of where this failed to happen for me.

The only real flaw I can find with Trigun is that some of the characters are not as well developed as Vash, Wolfwood, Knives or even Frank Marlon. If we learnt more about Milly, Meryl and some more of the Gung-Ho Guns. Despite this, Trigun is one of the best action-adventure animes around, and is highly recommended for fans of the genre. Even those not into action will find something to like in Trigun.

Summary: Greatness, pure Greatness
Review: Ok, i didnt buy this from Amazon.com, but if you order it here you save some cash ... This is truly one of the greatest investments i have made. The strive to live portayed through the eyes of wolfwood, the struggle to save life shown through the eyes of vash, struggling to make a decision for yourself character meryl, and of course the comic relief of millie and the evil characters of legato bluesummers and knives make an anime classic instantly, the only thing i didnt really like was the end theme. oh and if you buy it watch for the black cat
