Summary: OK movie
Review: I thought the story was somehow interesting. The story wasen't boring. When I heard this film was made in 1959 I thought this might be new for the audience in those ages. However, for me the scenes were quit unnatural. It didn't have the reality. When I saw the last scene I thought this is the ordinary ending we can see in Hollywood films.

Review: this film is directed by Alfred Hitchcock. the story is about the adventures of Roger Thornhill who is suspected of a murder that he didn't commit. he tries to escape from the police and spies continuously. this movie reminds me of an old 007 movie. there include some violent and romantic scenes... however, the scenes in this film are quite different from ones in today's movies.

Summary: A great old movie
Review: Who can forget North by Northwest and Cary Grant running through a cornfield? This movie has a very interesting scenario which is mixing suspense, sophisticated romance and comedy. Grant is Roger Thornill, a New York ad company president who is the target of complex and sinister events when somebody mistake him for a special undercover agent. Eva Marie Saint brings a good perfomance to her role as a delicate, elegant and mysterious blonde who wins the heart of Roger. In other words this old school movie is very interesting and still a very good movie almost 50 years later.

Summary: great work regarding 1959~!!
Review: It was indeed a great movie. You will experience the same confusion which Roger Thornhill did because brilliant Hitchcock shows you just a little bit of information about the mystery he unfolds. This gives the film tension and thrills, fascinating the viewer. This film is famous for some dramatic scenes like the cropduster's attack, the witty escape from the auction house ,the fight on Mt.Rushmore and so on. Hitchcock didn't forget to add some humor with his outstanding suspense and tension and Cary Grant is talented enough to deliver his lines. Eve Kandall is also very attractive for romance during the danger which makes the film richer.Wonderful~~!!

Review: I'm not American. My first languege is not English. So, I couldn't understand everything about this movie. Their speaking is little bit fast for me. I think that I couldn't understand what happened actually. However, I was satisfied with this movie after I finished watching it. There is a love between Roger and Eve. There is a battle with Van Damme. While Roger and Eve tring to escape from Van Damme, there are many events which are very exiceting! The mystery about Eve and the truth about George Kaplan....but the most exciting scene is the last part. The climax pulls the viewers in. Therefor, I think that the best part of this movie is the last part.

Review: This movie is one of Hitchcock's masterpieces. When I watched it, I noticed that there were many differences between 1960s and today, which were about fashions, life styles, romances, technologies, and actions. While for the time the clothing, scene designs, and special effects must have seemed very modern, today the styles are hip and retro. Moreover, when you watch carefully, you can find un-changed scenes such as the pub which is in Plaza Hotel and Mt. Rushmore. If you watch this movie, you can find many things about 50s fashions. I like this movie and you should watch this great masterpiece!

Summary: A Hitchcock classic!
Review: This is one of Alfred Hitchcock's greatest films and one of Cary Grant's most memorable roles. It's the story of Roger Thornhill (Grant), a victim of mistaken identity, who is pursued endlessly by spies and the police, who think he's a murderer. The film has become famous for the crop dusting and Mount Rushmore scenes. This wonderful film also stars Eva Marie Saint, Leo G. Carroll and Martin Landau. Be sure to see this at least once!

Summary: Alfred Hitchcock and Cary Grant at their best.
Review: Great action...great adventure...great villains...great hero and heroine...etc. There is much to see in this movie. This transfer onto the DVD format is amazing. I've never seen it as clear or as detailed as on this DVD. A great job was done mastering the 5:1 soundtrack as well. All in all, I am very impressed with this version of North by Northwest. For those who worked on getting N by NW transferred onto the DVD format...a job very, very well done. It looks like a reference standard to me.

Summary: You will never look at Mount Rushmore the same again.
Review: This is the best movie ever made in the crime/drama genre. Great actors; Cary Grant, James Mason. An interesting story of the wrong man accused of a crime he did not committ, and a woman he falls in love with, who is mysterious and beautiful. a thrilling climatic chase atop Mount Rushmore and epic music by Bernard Hermann to acompany the mood. Great film, buy it and watch it.

Summary: Classic Movie, Awesome Transfer!
Review: A great Hitchcock DVD and an awesome transfer! This DVD has the best transfer of any live action movie ever filmed. I ran it side by side with the broadcast of it on Turner Classic Movies and it is almost a completely different movie. This DVD also has a remixed 5.1 DD soundtrack with an isolated Bernard Hermann 5.1 score. A pretty interesting "making of", the usual production stills, and various trailers and tv spots, pretty cool menu too! The only problem is comparing every other DVD transfer to it! The Movie is number 40 on the AFI's top 100 movies of all time. Number 12 on Entertainment Weekly's top 50 DVDs.
