Summary: great movie - diapointing DVD
Review: This is not a movie review - it is a great movie and one of my favorites but there are other web pages for good movie reviews. The DVD was disappointing. Almost no extras whatsoever. It was basically the movie divided into chapters. The sound quality was good , but could have been better - especially given the great soundtrack. The picture quality is great but in widescreen format so you need a big screen TV to really get the full benefit off this. The DVD did not allow the viewer to specify the viewing format. Oddly enough the Canadian version of this DVD(same encoding as USA- region 1) has some extras. This version has a few deleted scenes, each one introduced by Quentin Tarantino. there are also trailers from different countries. Fans of the movie who want to add it to their collection would be better off with this - you may find it at an auction site. It gets 4 stars for being a great movie. if this was not such good movie this DVD would only get 3 stars.

Summary: Excilent
Review: This movie was awsome! It is about bunch of guys who meet over time of the movie. Vincent is worrying about taking out his mob bosses wife out for dinner. Jules iis thinking about quiting his job and "walking the earth". Bruce Willis has just killed a man in a boxing mach. He notices that hitmen are after him. Vincent's mob boss is mad a Bruce Willis for winning the fight, beccause he offerd him money to loose the fight. I can't say more becuse my Mom has to make a phone call.

Summary: how can you not like this movie?
Review: When I first saw Pulp Fiction, I knew that it was definetely going to be a modern day classic which I think it has turned into . Each time I watch pulp fiction, it seems that I pick up something new that I didn't know before. It's sort of hard to get used to because of the different plots but if you watch it closely enough you'll figure it out. Definetely not for those who watch movies without thinking about them.

Summary: not really a review
Review: I'ts a good movie, I was confused when I saw it back in 94, cause I was 11, but even then, I liked the movie, and I like it even more now. Anyway, this isn't really a review, just telling those people that come here and give this movie one star, don't bother sharing your disgust with us, the majority of us loved the movie, and there's really nothing you can do to stop smart shoppers, movie collecters, etc., from getting the film. If you were looking forward to buying this film, do it, you won't be dissapointed.

Summary: Pulp Fiction's cult and classic
Review: If you haven't seen this, you haven't seen nothing yet. Tarantino's best. Great ensemble cast, some crazy twists and vintage script. Buy this; essential video.

Summary: Unbelievable
Review: Wow what a rush! That's the only way to describe this Tarantino masterpiece (speaking of him, where did he go?). You know you're a respected director when u can release an independent film packed with world-renowned stars who will do anything to be in your movie. The structure, plot twists, script, and acting are all unique: Tarantino does an excellent job in taking all of his talents and letting them go on the screen. And Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson (who gives his most commanding performance; his presence alone frightens you), and Thurman along with each other cast member gives Tarantino all that he needs to work his extraordinary script.

Although this film is not for the faint-hearted, you'll feel like you've taken part in something extremely special after watching it. A definite must have for any DVD collection!

Summary: The beginning is the end is the beginning is the end.. what?
Review: Never before had I seen anything like Pulp Fiction, nor will I ever again. This truly is the best film you will ever see. Flawless in every way, Tarantino captures each story, as if it were the centre point of the film. Sam L Jackson is indescribable as Jules Winfield.

If you still haven't seen this film, why not?! At least so you can get an idea of what we all mean!

Although this Region 1 version of the disc does not really have any extras worth mentioning, it's a must for any film-lover or DVD-collector.

Summary: Best movie ever
Review: Just 4 the record, I'm a Dutchie, so my English ain't gonna B perfect.

Anyway, this is absolutely the best movie ever made. Ya always hear people (specialy the one that didn't like the movie)say that this movie was extremely violent. I don't get it. Why? In comparison 2 other gansterflix violence doesn't play that bigga roll. Let's take a look at the bodycount. There's Flock of Seagulls (the guy lying on the couch), his buddy Brett and the guy with the magnum waiting in the bathroom. And ofcourse Marvin. In "The Gold Watch" Maynard dies and Zed get's his "best friend" blown of. He probably dies, but ya don't get 2 see it. That's it. That's six guys! Only six.

Another complaint is the drug abuse and the sex. Let's start with the sex. Marcellus gets raped and Fabian asked Butch 2 give her "oral pleasure". Not one breats was 2 be seen, not even a wet T-shirt with a hard nipple. Come on, sex in pulp fiction? If anyboy seen it, please tell me cuase i like sex. Then there's the drugs abuse. Mia almost dies of an O.D. That's it, I rest my case.

But what makes this movie the best ever. It's hard 2 tell, cause there are many reasons. One of the best reasons is ofcourse the cast, with Travolta, Jackson, Willis, Thurman, Rhames, Keitel, Roth, Tarantino himself and Walken amongst others. I can't think of any other movie with a cast such as this one. The acting is absolutely great. It should have won at least one Academie Award (Sam Jackson as best supporting actor), but it didn't. Then there is the great chemistry between Travolta and Jackson in the first and last part. The terrific dialog (the "you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris" is now a classic with even the Cartoon Network copying it!)And ofcourse the story. A lotta people don't get the story. But there's nothing 2 get. Some people say there's no plot, but why does there always have 2 be a plot? This film stands out because it don't follow a standard Hollywoord recipe! And then there's the soundtrack, which fits perfectly with the movie. So 4 everybody who hasn't seen this movie jet, hurry up and rent it!

Summary: We can really explore ourselves only as bad guys
Review: Well, it rocks, I guess. It jumps. It moves. It's flashy and clever. The acting is excellent. The direction is interesting... I could write a book, but what I kept thinking was how much the audience worships not just the violence, but the power. How much they love the Fascist criminal, the mob boss who must be obeyed and shown loyalty to. Uma Thurman is just decadently sexy. John Travolta is amazingly lovable as a "low-rent" hood and Bruce Willis is believable as a prize fighter who turns the tables and wins the fight instead of throwing it (and, in an up-to-date spin, bets on himself-seems right! How come they never did that before? They probably did, I just missed it.). Samuel Jackson is interesting as the Bible-quoting black hit man.

Naturally they make us root for the bad guys; indeed the bad guys are almost always the heroes in the modern Hollywood. We can really explore ourselves only as bad guys. The pro-mo's for cigarettes, heroin, cocaine, booze and decadence are getting a little thin, however. A Hollywood movie, a commercial flick, is always a cliché. The art part comes from doing spins on the cliché, in putting a new twist on the old BS, on the old standards. Ironically interesting was the sensuous indulgence of dinner for Travolta and Thurman. He's shot heroin, she's done a few lines, they smoke some pot, they smoke some cigarettes, but they really get off on milk shakes and vanilla cokes, steaks and hamburgers. Poor Hollywood. They've done it all and now must find real indulgence in fat, salt, sugar and meat, which for the stars really is an indulgence. If your life span is only sixteen to about thirty-five, then the forbidden things really are fat, salt, meat and anything else that puts on the weight. Cocaine and cigarettes can't hurt you because by the time the ill effects kick in, your career is over anyway.
