Review: ... Definately Quentin Tarantino at his best i think it dosnt even come close to resevoir dogs and jakie brown (still very good though). Pulp Fiction has been described as a love/hate film depending on your perseption of the film it can be exceedingly and consistently funny or it can be pointless abusive and full of mindless violence but in my oppinion you need to see beyond the violence and loosen up a bit. This film is NOT for the squimmish or faint-hearted with a gay rape scene in the back of the pawn shop and the scene when vincent vegas (John Travolta) "shoots up" and you see a close up of him preparing and injecting heroin, neither of these scenes i found particularly offensive but if taken the way they are ment to be taken (as just another scene) they are not offensive at all, and no you cannot say this is "glorifying drugs" as later on in the film mia wallace over doses and nearly dies. The other things that make this film so spectacualar are the amazing ensemble cast with, John Travolta(FACE/OFF, Bruce Willis(ARMAGEDDON), Samuel L. Jackson(THE NEGOTIATOR and Tim Roth(PLANET OF THE APES). not only a great cast but a great soundtrack with performances from Dusty Springfield, Chuck Berry, Al Green. this film is an all time golden classics its out there with charlie chaplain and the marx brothers.

Review: Violence, strong language and drug abuse' the hallmark of
PULP FICTION.
Possibly one of quentin tarrantino's best films with great performances from John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis and Tim Roth in this sleak stylish film whcvih was cleverly three stories iterconnecting into one main story with one very squimish scene scene of a heroin injection the film got a bit of a rep along with the great performances, the soundtrack was the icing on the cake with performaces from Dusty Springfield, Chuck Berry, Al Green.
Pulp Fiction won the 1994 cannes film festival award. the start of this film is great, 2 normal guys riding in a car having a normal convosation, about cheese burgers. an about one of thems trip to ammsterdam. I absolutely adore this film

Summary: Pulp Fiction
Review: This movie is awesome. It's definitely in my Top 3 Favorite Films of All Time! I just can't get over how good it is. It's visually amazing and it delivers some of the best acting in years from people who we thought were out of their league by being in a movie like this. Of course everybody says that this movie re-launched John Travolta's career and I certainly can't disagree with that. But it also breathed like back into the careers of Bruce Willis, Christopher Walken, and helped me to like Samuel L. Jackson's acting. This is the only movie that I like that Jackson is in. I think that he's not a very good actor with the exception of this one. His yelling and abruptness and coolness all work for once in this role. He's a supporting character in this movie but one of the most important because his character is so strong. Travolta and Jackson are hit men who work for a man named Marcellus Wallace. They go around doing his work for him and they have the most intelligent, intersting conversations in their car and the restaurant, conversations about life and God. Their chemistry is so strong that they act as if they have been best friends for years. And then there is Uma Thurman, one of the most underappreciated actresses of our time. She had the breakthrough here. Though her character may be quiet and a bit dull, she lights up every scene that she's in. And the infamous scene in which Travolta plunges the syringe into Thurman's chest, well that scene is Priceless, as those Mastercard commercials say. That scene will live on for centuries as the coolest, scariest scene that just makes you want to cringe even though you know you love it. Ving Rhames is Marcellus Wallace and Rhames probably put the most of the edge for his character. And, of course, I'm talking about that scene in which he is 'taken advantage of', to put it lightly, by those 2 hicks in the back room. Tarantino outdid himself and perhaps that's why he hasn't made a movie since this one. Maybe he was afraid that if he made a bad movie that it might somehow tarnish the reputation of this one, which would be a terrible thing. I think that anybody can look at this movie and interpret it in their own way. I say that because it's not a good vs. evil movie. It's like it is random people vs. random people and some of them are good and some are bad. Plus, there's not really any closure to this movie which, I suppose, could leave it open for a sequel but that also might tarnish the reputation of this movie, too. Yes, this movie have some graphic scenes in it but only for the sake of independent films are they in the movie at all. It's one of the most creative and interesting films of the 90's and definitely worth seeing.

This quote is one of many remembered in the Quentin Tarantino classic. Using a fantasicly amazing blend of modern urban-suburbian style with classic film noir style, the movie has a feel like none other I have ever seen. Wearing black suites with white shirts and thin black ties, Vicent Vega (John Travolta)and Jules Winfield (Saumel L.Jackson) are half-cent hitmen hired to kill a guy by their boss Marcelles Wallace (Ving Rhames). Using a suberb rotating plot that can only work in a movie like this, it jumps around from a diner scene staring Honey Bunny (Amanda Plumber) and Pumpkin (Tim Roth). Like Kenneth Branagh is to Shakespeare, Tim Roth is to Tarantino. Only he can transform into one of his characters. Later on, Vega has to keep his bosses wife company while he is out of town. The wife, Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) is a drug addicted, hipster hottie who ends up getting Vega into alot of trouble. The troubled boxer Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willace) finds himself on the run from Mr.Wallace after he kills a man in the ring. Probably my favorite part of the movie, it ends in the basement of a pawn-shop, with a sword and and a perverted cop named Zed. The best movie of the 1990's, Pulp Fiction is imortalized by its sick, hip, scarey, funny, emotional, and realistic themes. I know people who say that it is evil, but I beg to differ. Didn't people say that Mark Twain was evil in the 1800's?

Summary: Disjointed look at life on the fringe
Review: Being a fan of non-traditional film, I really wanted to like Pulp Fiction. And with a cast that included John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis, how could it go wrong? As for strengths, Travolta's Vincent and Jackson's portrayal as Jules are first rate, as are performances by virtually all of the first-rate supporting cast. And Jules' character reveals a nagging belief there is more to life than selfish reaction. But for the most part Tarantino chooses to shock us rather than make us think. Don't get me wrong, there is much truth in this film, and his insight into fringe society is keen indeed. Perhaps that is what diminishes my favor for this film. With the exception of Jackson and Willis, the characters are too true-to-life. Many of the fringe element are social wastelands and have no regard for human feelings, rights or even life. There is no depth, merely a philosophy based on pragmatism, opportunism and control. And I personally find such a personality revolting and distrubing rather than interesting. Some try to shrug off this overlying tone and declare this film a comedy. I could not arrive at that conclusion. The movie is a must-see for the acting performances and soundtrack, but is not for the young, impressionable or faint-of-heart.

Summary: A++ Master Thriller
Review: Writer Director Quentin Tarantino do right in his second movie a mixture of classic thrillers with somewhat wickledy funny humor. Five mixed stories with 2 low rent hitmen(Travolta,Jackson) which after making a job decide to retire from business. A prized boxing fighter(Willis) who also decides to cut his career and left LA with his girlfriend and two bank robbers which wants to start robbing coffee shops. All with memorable dialogue,soundtrack and use excessive of some swear words. A must be collected DVD.

Review: By now you've heard what a masterpiece of pop culture this is. The hyper-self-conscious and smart mouthed Tarantino writes the most distinctive dialogue ever heard. I think beyond everything else that is the rarest part of his talent. The conversations between Travolta and Jackson capture the way people talk now...full of references, asides, humor.....and observation, "a foot message is just a foot message"..."no, a foot message is not just a foot message". The characters Tarantino creates all come with histories and their own ideas and they all are so well drawn that even the minor characters are three dimensional and command our attention.
Reservoir Dogs is grittier and perhaps a stronger film overall becuase its focus is tighter, this one is a sprawl with so many life forms and story lines that it feels like an Altman project but directed by a highly caffienated hipster who has no patience for ambiguity. Tarantino likes desultory dialogue but he also cuts to the chase at the right moments. Dialogue turns to violence and then back to dialogue. And comedy is constantly undercut by hard core drama, only in Tarantinos universe can so much happen and be absorbed so quickly. Harvey Kietel's "Mr. Fox" complimenting Reggie on his coffee is just one more of those moments where you laugh in admiration of Tarantino's ability to add just the right touch to cap his scenes. He flows from one thing to the next and one mood to the next as well as one story line to the next with assured ease. Travolta driving listening to music in his own world, Travolta roaming around Uma's house while Uma observes him on the close circuit, Travolta doing anything as Vincent is hilarious. His character steals the show and there is a lot of competition in this movie. Jackson is just as good though with his zealous pilgrim routine, and Willis as the tough guy boxer with integrity stands out as well.
Of the other directors making their debut in the 90's... I think Soderbergh(Limey, Traffic) is more stylish than substantial, P.T. Anderson(Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia) is the only other talent who looms as large. So many(including the two just mentioned) have made use of Tarantino's style that Quentin may be having a hard time coming up with a new new style.

Review: Pulp Fiction is a brilliant movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. It tells 4 stories that eventually entertwine which gives each story a distinguishing mark. The dialouge is perfect and noirish which adds to the films roots. Samuel L. Jackson is brilliant and he killed their butts. Go and get this one.

Summary: PERSONALITY GOES A LONG WAY
Review: And let me say, this film has loads of personality. This is got to be one of the best movies ever. An all around superbe cast delivering some of their best performances, and a killer soundtrack. Tarantino proved that he is certainly one of the most talented writer/directors today. This film is hard to explain: it has basically four vignettes going on at one time. Somehow, you'll have to watch to find out, they all come together. Every character is somehow linked to another. You have the boxer (Bruce Willis), the two hitmen (Sam Jackson and Travolta), their boss (Ving Rhames) and his wife (Uma Thurman), two robbers (Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer) and a great supporting cast of actors including Harvey Keitel, Rosanna Arquette, Eric Stoltz, Quentin Tarantino himself, and Christopher Walken. But you have to watch the film to see how their lives interlace. Great movie. Great music. What a cast. Highly reccommended.

Review: This movie is nothing short of brilliant, i have seen it many times and continue to do so. Quentin Taratino is obviously a very talented film-maker and writer, i hope that one day he will dazzle us with his brilliance again.
