Rating: Summary: 4 Stars because I have to buy all 3 DVDs Review: Take out "Temple of Doom" and I give it a raging 5 stars! I hope these are offered seperately soon. Why? Because I don't want to bring the Temple of Doom home. Sure it has a "feel good" ending, but anything feels good after being dragged through blood and cult violence...and I really don't want to hear Kate Capshaw screaming for another two hours. The first is still the best, but the third is right up there. Please separate these titles so we can, in the words of the wise knight, "choose wisely."
Rating: Summary: Get widescreen, not full screen Review: I am now completely sold on the superiority of Widescreen versions. You know what convinced me? That's right, seeing how squished and off-center the Indiana Jones films look in their "pan and scan" "fullscreen" versions. Now that the widescreen editions are coming out on DVD, I can't imagine anyone getting the "fullscreen" version instead. Even when I was watching them on a 9 inch computer monitor, the full screen version was clearly inferior. Please do yourself (and the industry) a favor and at least rent the widescreen version so you can see how huge a difference it makes. The photography in these films is seriously tarnished by the use of full screen formatting. Certainly the scene compositions are entirely spoiled - and they were so clever!!! Watch the widescreen version instead of fullscreen. As for the films themselves... I give them credit for what they are, but as I get older I'm less and less impressed with everything ultimately being subservient to the need to portray violent content.

Rating: Summary: Why Oh Why Must I Buy all Three??? Review: Such a crass example of commercialism; forcing us to buy all 3 movies as a box set (rather than individually), OR having to wait an indefinite period until they are (if ever) released individually. I would certainly buy 'Raiders of the Lost Arc' (5 stars out of 5) and I would also buy 'The Last Crusade' (4 stars out of 5) but I resent being forced to buy 'Temple of Doom' (BOMB). Yes, one could argue that I might spend just as much buying two individual DVD's (purchased seperately) as compared to purchasing the entire boxed set. I would argue that THAT isn't the point. The point is that I am being forced to purchase all 3, one of them a horrid movie, the other two gems. Of course (smacks oneself in the head) by selling the boxed set, this leaves the door wide open for future 'special' director's cuts, etc. of each movie individually sometime in the future. Hey, anything for a buck...
Rating: Summary: The greatest saga of all time! Review: I've been waiting so long for these to be released on DVD, and Lucasfilm/Spielberg finally are! Having had been watching poor VHS copies and recordings, I'm stoked that the entire trilogy will be remastered and restored (seeing how good they did on Star Wars SE about 4 years ago with what is now defunct technology, I can't wait to see how good it will look). This is by far as classic and well-made as the Star Wars Trilogy was. I'm happy that the directors made the very smart, and marketable, decision of releasing Indiana Jones on DVD!
Rating: Summary: harrison ford at his best! Review: Indiana jones is awesome. They are the movies of the 80s and Harrison Ford is awesome! The temple of doom is third best of the series but its not bad at all! This movie is the one that started me with indiana jones. I just love short round. The part when the guys heart gets taken out is so cool. Its also one of the reasons they made the MPAA rating PG-13 they kept the movie PG though. Raiders of the lost ark was second best. The best scene is in the beginning when indiana jones gets chased by the boulder its so classic! The last crusade was the best in the series! My favorite part is when they fight the people on the tank. This is a great series to have and I'd reccomend it to anyone who likes action and adventure.
Rating: Summary: Harrison Ford At His Best Review: In this exquisite boxed edition of The Indiana Jones Trilogy, you can experience the fear, passion and pure Action in a whole new way! This is a must see, must buy once in a lifetime chance to see Harrison Ford at his Best! -Five Stars
Rating: Summary: eh okay but not as great as everybody says Review: I never saw the ones with sean connery but the others I wasnt that inpressed with good for a boring night or time killers though.
Rating: Summary: TEMPLE OF DOOM Review: You people need to stop putting down the temple of doom for having one scene where a heart is pulled out for human sacrifice. That was a badass special effect for 1983. The movie would not be the same with out that part. I was 8 when I saw that and thought it was very cool. It started the whole pg-13 thing. Do you somehow think crazy nazi's are less evil. Also they better not edit that part in anyway for this dvd set like they do for tv and tape. If there is one in the trilogy that is not as good as the rest it would be the last crusade. It had a very boring climax. Lets just hope George Lucas doesn't get his digitally altering hands on it.
Rating: Summary: Its not the years. Its the milage. Review: Perhaps the greatest action adventure hero ever, Indiana Jones comes to DVD and all I have to say is its about time. The trilogy (hopefully soon to be 4) takes you on a ride through the late 1930's like none other. Indiana is a professor of Archeology in his spare time. What he is most of the time is a hard nosed, snake fearing, treasure hunter. In the movies he goes after the Ark of the Covenant, Sacrad Hindu Stones, and the Holy Grail. Raiders is the standard that all action movies have to try to achieve yet inevitably fall short. Temple is a good movie that has good parts and a funny kid but isn't quite the same. Last Crusade introduces Sean Connery as Indi's dad and they work great together making it the funniest of the 3 movies. Indiana Jones is finally on DVD. Thank you. Oh yeah and thank you for not adding any scenes and stuff like in ET and Star Wars.
