Summary: great to have these
Review: I loved all three of these films and it great to have them all included here. The original Walking Tall is the best but I have always enjoyed the two sequels as well. A wonderful series.

Summary: Favorite childhood movie series
Review: I recall seeing the first "Walking Tall" movie when I was real small, back in the late '70s. I saw the last two chapters in later years, enjoyed them as well. However, not to take away from Bo Svenson's performances, I was somewhat bummed that Joe Don Baker wasn't in the last two parts. Nevertheless, I decided to buy the trilogy box set and i'm glad I did. If you're looking for a good action movie, you should get this whole series.

Sheriff Pusser wanted to rid his county of the vermin of society
to make it a better place to live, but as reality sets in,the storey can be set to modern day america and the methamphetamine
labs and the under-funded sheriff's who have to keep law and order in area's where everyone and his brother is a weed smoker and aparasite on society.
wish they would change the constitution so more sheriff's
could rid their county's of evil doer's.

Summary: Hollywood Hype.
Review: I would reccomend the trilogy of "Walking Tall" to anyone interested in a great classic action show. It will be a great addition to my movie collection. Recently though I had the chance to visit Buford Pussers home in Adamsville in McNairy County, TN. His house has been turned into a museum and is open to the public. If you ever have the chance to visit the town and museum please do so. You will see how Hollywood can distort the truth ... Buford was a great lawman, there is no doubt but Hollywood really messed things up from the way that things actually happened. The tour of the museum will really open your eyes to the real Buford Pusser. He did not carry a big stick as the movie portrays, but he did carry a gun and he did break up a mob that was running illegal booze and gambling. He deserves to be rated as one the nations top heros but I wish Hollywood would just make a follow up movie that actually tells it like it was during his days as a lawman.
Again I would reccomend this set to anyone to buy for their collection, but just remember that it was made in Hollywood ... is not very accurate in it's content. If you would like to get more information about Buford and the way things actually happened visit the official web site for him ...

Summary: Unfair review of the life of the real Buford Pusser
Review: Paul Gaita should be made to remove his comments about the real Buford Pusser. Would a man who was, as Mr Gaita states: "Brutal and far from scrupulous" have had the tributes which are still paid to him, even today, have had so many people attend his funeral that it took nine books to contain the names of all who paid tribute to him by being there (even Elvis!!) and finally, would he still be admired by so many people, even today? He was a man and being a man, he made mistakes. I wonder if Mr. Gaita's life were scrutinized, if he would be as honored? The fact is, obviously, Mr. Gaita formed his opinion of the real Buford Pusser based solely on the films which were loosely based on his life. If I were a member of his surviving family, I would consider legal action against Paul Gaita for his defaming comments. He has no right to criticize, put-down or defame the integrity, character and reputation of the real Buford Pusser. He does not have the right to "review" the life of a real man, who left behind a legacy of "do what is right, no matter what the cost". I wonder if Paul Gaita will be able to say the same?

Summary: W.T. - Final Chapter
Review: The entire Walking Tall series is a tragic saga of a man almost larger than life, too honest for his own good which eventually lead to his demise.Bo Svenson gives an authoritive and commanding performance of the doomed lawman. Forrest Tucker adds credibility as Buford's father. The movies take you through his triumphs, tragedies, letdowns and then his renewed pursuit of re-election of a county so corrupt, the crooks ruled the county and eventually the department. It is a triumphantly tragic story, and as a former Deputy Sheriff, I recommend the Final Chapter and The entire Walking Tall Series to anyone that can handle reality and the corruption that plagues small county USA.

Summary: Walking Desperate
Review: The first film in the series was very effective, despite its obviously low budget, and pretty much told the Pusser story. The sequel, filmed by a different studio with a different cast, was vastly inferior to its predecessor, and had nothing new or interesting to show. This brings us to the "Final Chapter," which is nothing more than an exercise in desperation, one more attempt to milk the formula for a few more bucks. Bo Svenson sleepwalks his way through another typically unconvincing performance, and the supporting cast is just as bad. Even seasoned character actors like Forrest Tucker, Morgan Woodward, and Lurene Tuttle appear awkward in this piece of junk. With no story left to tell, the script is predictably thin, and the direction is remarkably hackneyed, even for a poverty-row clunker like this one. The purely gratuitous violence doesn't help, either. All in all, this one is a dud from start to finish - avoid it.

Review: The last thing the world needed was another sequel to "Walking Tall". The first sequel was bad enough, but this one is a catastrophe. Bo Svenson turns in another dreadful performance, and the rest of the third-rate cast is just as awful. The script is rotten, and the direction is even worse. This film is pointless, idiotic, and incredibly boring. Don't waste your time on it.
