Summary: Frozen Burrito
Review: They certainly do enjoy using exposition on this show!

"Hello, youngest sister! We haven't seen you in a very long time. I guess that's because you and our oldest sister are always arguing with each other."

"Yeah. I suppose that's because she's the responsible, organized one, whereas I am the spontaneous, wild one."

"Yeah. I guess that's why. Oh, look! I've just stumbled upon that magic board our mother gave us, with the inscription that reads: You three sisters will get magic powers."

"Oh, yeah. We never did figure out what that inscription means."

"No, we didn't."

etc.

If you enjoy sub-par acting, low-brow humor (e.g. one sister uses her telekinetic powers to make the ink from a pen spray someone in the face), and a complete lack of subtlety or realism, then you might enjoy this show. Personally, I found it dull and tedious. I was hoping for something similar to "Buffy" but the two shows are completely different. Yeah, they share a genre, but in terms of quality and the audience they would appeal to, "Buffy" is more like a well-prepared stir-fry with lots of fresh vegetables and spices, and "Charmed" is more like a frozen burrito you'd buy at a gas station.

'Nuff said.

Summary: Charmed | Season 1
Review: This set has all 22 episodes from the first charmed season.

The episodes themselves are quite entertaining, mixing drama with comedy. Unlike latter seasons the comedy is funnier and the drama is more dramatic. Some terror scenes are also in a couple of episodes.

The good thing about Season 1 is that it shows thier sisterly and charmed bonds, ie: the power of three, something the newer seasons lack.

Overall, i give this set 4 stars out of 5. I would have given it a 5 if it had any special features but sadly it dosent. I dont expect there to be any for season 2. Maybe season 3, and im hoping season 4.

the release schedule is as follows

season 2: may 2005
season 3: august 2005
season 4: november 2005
season 5: february 2006 [tentative]
season 6: may 2006 [tentative]
season 7: august 2006 [tentative]
