Summary: Disappointing on every level
Review: Don't waste a minute on this movie. Horrible performances, forgettable script, badly directed...just an all-around mess.

Hard-core sci-fi buffs might dig it, but I couldn't tell you why.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not a famous film for good reason
Review: How many movies do you know that replay the same scenes and can still hold the interest of the viewer? Not many, if any. However, the creators of Millennium decided that about one third of the movie should be the same scenes. Total failure. This is a case where the makers of the film underestimated the intelligence of the viewers, thinking that going through the movie twice was the only way viewers could keep track of the incredibly difficult concept of time travel.

Then again, if this was truly a good movie than we shouldn't be disappointed in seeing the scenes twice, since we could then enjoy good acting etc. Not so in Millennium. Kris Kristofferson looks grizzly with a heavy beard and has the skin tone of beef jerky. Cheryl Ladd plays opposite of Kristofferson as the time traveling tough women from the future who happens to know nothing about time traveling, she needs a personal robot to explain "the obvious" to her on many occasions. Maybe she forgot to read the script.

In this movie, the future is a place of rust, the present is a place of ignorance, and the viewer is left insulted.

Summary: One of the best
Review: I consider Millennium one of the best time travel/paradox movies ever made. The plot is internally consistent and the way the story unfolds along different points of view is unique.

I strongly recommend this as one of the classic sci-fi movies and a must for any collection.

Summary: This workis if you're hard-core sci-fi fan...
Review: I enjoy Sci-fi, and this is some pretty good work. Most people wouldn't emjoy movie like these, but I happen to really be into the sci-fi world. Kristofferson and Ladd are two strong characters who fall in love, even though Ladd is a time-jumper from the future who can't seem to fix the mistake that her crew created in Kristofferson's past. Anyhow, I liked it.

Summary: novel explains it all
Review: I haven't seen this film. What?! Then why am I reviewing it? Because I've read the novel AND George Alexeief's review, and I can't help but point out that all George's questions are answered in the novel. Sounds like maybe Varley couldn't see that some of the movie would be incomprehensible to someone who hadn't read the novel. Adapting a novel (ignore Maltin's reference to the short story -- Millennium is a novel) must be more difficult than it might seem.

Summary: An Interesting Mood, A Lost Opportunity
Review: I mean, is Kris Kristofferson the worst actor in film history or what? Next to this guy a sheet of plywood is Sir Laurence Olivier. It's hard to decide who shows a greater range of emotion, Kristofferson or the pathetically lame talking robot. At least the robot had an excuse for not being able to move his face. Sorry, had to get that out. The shame here is that Millenium is a very compelling story, and the film does create an interesting, unsettling mood. It does get under your skin a bit, like a not very good tune that you can't stop singing. Cheryl Ladd is fine, though burdened with community theatre level dialogue. With a good screenwriter and a male lead that could convince you his character was something other than a bump on a soggy log, this could have been a winner. As it is it's a deepy flawed oddity that I go back to every year for some twisted fun.

Summary: Unique cabin explosition (6 stars).
Review: I saw this movie years ago,and it's an ok 'B movie',the only thing that was unique was when the passenger cabin inside the airliner explodes and you can see the pilots cabin being ripped away first and the carnage just slowly traveling up the passengers cabin. The special effects was definitely mind boggling and unique in that specific scene. The rest of the movie plot is a bad 'Charlie's angel' (D- movie) nightmare.......

Summary: Paradoxes and several views
Review: If your into time travel and paradox situations, you'll like this movie. Its very true to the book its based upon, except the final chapter from the book is not presented in the movie. For those who aren't sci-fi junkies, the time traveling and views of the same scenes from different characters can become confusing. The paradoxes are interesting. Given the situations, the acting is okay but not great, but still a good watch.

Summary: THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!
Review: In short, it was the best. The corny plot along with dorks like Kris Kristofferson made it the best. A country singer has no place being in a sci fi movie!
