Summary: GREAT COLLECTION!
Review: Ok I love this set. I mean it has nice extras and all are in their collector's series package, and a nice box. Also a nice 4th bonus disc which is pretty cool. This is gonna sound bad, but in like the 3 or 4 weeks that I have had this, but I have watched the whole trilogy like 3 times together, although I have watched the other ones too. But I am also a fan of the Scream series. The ONLY problem I have with the collection is that they made a mistake and didn't give the director's cut to Scream 1. I wanted that badly. I don't have laserdisc and don't know where to find the VHS version, so that's not good. But the sound and picture is very nice. Even if you thought the series was pretty good, then you should still get this. It's definately worth the money that it costs, and it's a great set. Like I said though I wanted the director's cut too though, but oh well.

Review: Ok the original Scream is better, but this one is still pretty good. To me it's better than Scream 2 but still some things were really unnecessary. I think that they could have made the sequel a bang by having Randy be the killer somehow, and have him live, but it's not so... Anyhow the only problem that I have with this one is that it gets slow sometimes and I think if they had one more killing scene between the grand finale and the 3rd person killed than I could've gotten through. Also I just don't like how they don't make everyone a suspect like in Scream 1, but has more suspects than 2. It's a nice film, it's worth viewing if you're a fan of the series.

Summary: My Favorite Set of DVD's
Review: I have always liked all of the SCREAM movies, and have always wanted to buy them, but it was way to much money to pay [$$$] for three DVD's. So being able to only pay [$$$] for three of my all time favorite movies, and an extra DVD was great for me. This way I was able to pay a reasonable prise and have all of my favorite horror movies to watch any time I want. If you are as big of a fan as I am about these horror films then this DVD set is for you. If you just buy each DVD seperatly then you have to pay more in all, and you only get some of the extra features you would get when you order the box set. Because you also get another free DVD of all extra features that are not in the seperate DVD's. So be smart and get this wonderful deal of four DVD's!

Summary: SCREAM 3 IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!
Review: Scream is the last sequel to the thrilling trilogy. It stars David Arquette, Neve Cambell Courteney Cox Arquette, Patrick Dempsey, Jenny McCarthy, Parker Posey and Deon Richmond. This movie is about Sidney lives all peacefully all by herself in the woods, and then she starts hearing about all the bodies getting killed by the guy in the mask in the set of Stab 3. In this 3rd chapter all the starts realize that in this chapter, all the rulse are broken! Scream 3 is the best SCREAM of all. It is rated "R" for strong horror violence, Sexuality, and strong language. It had blood, but not to bad. In my personal opinion, Scream 3 is the best scream of all because Wes Craven delivers Chills, and Thrills with out going over board with the gore. There is some, but not as bad as the 1st and 2nd Scream. If your looking for a Thrilling, Action, and Suspenseful movie, this one if for you!

Summary: Four Stars for the Movie, Five for the Trilogy
Review: The Scream trilogy rightfully deserves to be called the "Star Wars of horror movies." All three entries played off of one another, and in the end, all light was revealed on the whole series in a twisted ending. And I must say, an entertaining thrill ride. The third and final Scream finds Sidney Prescott living in isolation and in fear of once again being stalked. Dewey Riley and Gail Weathers are coincidentally teamed up when Cotton Weary is killed in true Scream - or in their world, Stab - fashion. Again, they are united with a cast full of stereotypical yet fun characters (Especially Parker Posey) who run, die, and try to outwit whoever is under the mask. I, for one, am glad they ended this series with a third installment. Even though this movie is entertaining and deals a deserving ending, I could see the series getting old with another installment. Just how many people would have a reason to kill Sidney? But like I said, Ehren Kruger came up with a final resolution that tied all three movies together in good fashion. The DVD is a complete fan's choice with features such as hilarious outtakes, a behind-the-scenes montage, a couple of deleted scenes (An interesting alternate opening), an alternate ending, Creed video (I love it), trailers, a LOT of tv spots, audio commentary, and I do believe there may be one or two things I'm missing. As I've said before, the Scream Trilogy got a well-deserved and respective ending. The trilogy is truly a classic.

Summary: Ewww! How Did This Happen??
Review: The third installment of the "Scream" series suffered some bumps before it even got released. First, Neve Campbell debated whether to return to her role as the troubled Sidney. Then, Kevin Williamson who wrote the script for the first two films, bowed out on this one. And finally, "Scream 3," initially scheduled for a December, 1999 release, was pushed back to February, 2000. Did this film in any way survive these hurdles? Nope! The foundation of any film is the script, and Williamson's abscence is painfully evident. Not even director Wes Craven can gloss over this bust. Everyone in the cast looks glum as if they're in it solely for the money. They could very well be, for there is nothing else this movie has to offer. Predictable scares, a lazy script, and the barely-there tension sink "Scream 3." And the end of the film where the killer is revealed makes no sense. Craven vowed that this would be his last "Scream" film, showing a rare example of a director knowing when it's time to quit.

Review: Scream 3, Dimension Films, 117 Minutes.
The third, and final chapter of the SCREAM trilogy, delivers laughs, chills and spills. Returning characters Sidney Presscott (Nev Campbell), Gail Weathers, (Courtney Cox-Arquette) and Dewey Riley (David Arquette) are now faced with another copy-cat killer of their dramatic events back in Woodsboro four years ago. They are now in Hollywood, with the third installment of movies about their real live drama in Woodsboro, with the movie's titled "Stab". The rules are all forgotten within this final film fo the trilogy, with a lot of surprises, and one very big one at the very end. Neve Campbell's character Sidney, hiding in the middle of no-where, within the California hills, isloated to where no one can find her. Dewey Riley, now an ex-cop is now a body-guard, and Technical Advisor of the new Stab Film, and body-guard to one of the cast-members. But, as always, Gail Weathers (Cox-Arquette) is still a ruthless journalist, but with a slight change of attitude. The new masked killer, is killing the cast of "Stab 3" in the order they all die in the film, and then going after the real person.
"Scream 3" delivers the great energy as it does from the last two predecessors, and is still an enjoyable scary movie. Neve Campbell's "Sidney" is both dramatic, funny and is overall the best character of the film. She;s haunted by her mother, her awful past, and cannot seem to get over what had happened over 4 years ago. Arquette's "Dewey" is a little annoying, because of the antics, and wanna-be heroism, is a little "deja-vu" from the first two films. Cox-Arquette's "Gail" is very funny, and also very dramatic. The death scenes are more ellaborate in this final installment, and the suspense is over-whelming. This, inmy opinion is the most terrifying movie of the SCREAM trilogy.
The ending of this film will leave you shocked, amazed and frightened. A very big turn-around happens with Neve Campbell's character in the final scene, that will leave you shocked, and utterly scared. he three returning characters deserve some credit, for returning the original spunk and spirit of the three characters, and makes the film even more enjoyable.
The only problem is, with the scenes that don't include the three main characters drag a bit, and don't entertain very much. Trilogies supposedly ruin the essence of films, but this is not the case. This film delivers suspense, laughs, and entertainment. Letter Grade : A-

Summary: Ultimate Collection Of Screams!
Review: This box set is an absolute must have for fans this wonderful trilogy. First off, each film is entertaining and well worth your time. Scream (1996) is, as usual, the best, with the freshest plot and best scares. It has sharp writing, dynamite acting, and great character development. Scream 2 (1997) is quite good, too. It may not be as well-done or as well-conceived as the first, but it's pretty darn close with the entertainment value andf there's lots of blood! Acting is equal with the first film. Scream 3 (2000), the supposed finale to the trilogy, is a good closing, with good scares, witty dialouge, a sharp screenplay, and excellent acting. All in all, the films connect well as a trilogy and go great together in a set. Of course, the real reason people are gonna want to get this set is because of the quality of all the disks. The picture on each film is excellent. While (quite sadly) the first film is presented in a non-anamorphic format, the second two are in absoloutley stunning anamorphically enhanced versions (bonus: Scream 2 is only anamorphic in this set). The sound on each is a beautiful 5.1 surround that really booms out of your speakers with crisp, clear dialouge and loud, enthralling action sequences. The sound mixes are definate 5 star materials. Very well done. But then we get to the special features. Wo. That's basically all I can say. Wo. Unbelievable. So much stuff to explore. Hour and hours and hours worth of documentaries, commentaries, trailers, TV spots, still galleries, cast and crew info, and production notes. he commentaries for all three films are excellent, however, like the movies, I think the first one is the best. Featuring writer Kevin Williamson and director Wes Craven, it is filled to the brim with special information, anectotes and behind the scenes information that's really quite fascinating. Both of these guys are great at giving out info. One of the best commentaries I've ever listened to. Scream's 2 and 3 both have good ones, but the absence of the writers on these tracks is a problem, the others seem less comfortable. Still lots of good stuff in them. The behind the scenes documentaries on each film's disk are entertaining, although not particularly interesting. They have interviews with cast-and-crew, but they're the usual promotional fluff. The second and third film contain deleted scenes on the features list. Some of them are pretty cool (loved that one alternate opening to Scream 3) and some mediocre (both deleted scenes on the Scream 2 disk). It's still nice to have them at all. The deleted scenes have optional audio commentary by director Wes Craven and the producers. A small dissipointment is that the first film is not the gorier director's cut version. Just a small problem. There's also some music videos, but I really couldn't care less. The real fun is found on th fourth disk, however. First up is a nice and very informative documentary on the making of all three Scream films. Great interviews, clips from the films, and lots of cool stuff are to be found on this excellent documentary. Then we have some Scream outtakes, which are nice, but not that funny. There are some absoloutley hilarious trailers for "Sunrise Studio Features", which aren't actually real trailers, but for stuff like "Stab 2, " "The First House On The Right," and "It Came From The Oceon." Very funy. You can find some very cool screen tests for the first Scream for Neve Campbell (one which even has her trying out with a guy who failed to get the part of Billy, the boyfriend), Jamie Kennedy and Skeet Ulrich. Cool stuff. That may not sound like much, but there's plenty to be found on this disk, including DVD-Rom games, demos, and weblinks. he set is just a jewel, in my honest opinion. The features, picture, and sound make it a "can't refuse" boxed set, and it helps that the trilogy is one of the best horror trilogies of all time. Highley, highley recommended.

Summary: It falls apart at the end...
Review: Although I am not a HUGE fan of the Scream series, I still enjoyed them and have seen them all. As most other viewers have noted, the series kind of goes downhill after the first one, and continues with, in my view, the weakest of the three with Scream 3. To me, something just seemed different with Scream 3. The previous two were very well acted, and you cared about the characters, and you wanted to experience things with them. But, after viewing the third scream, I just didn't get the same sense of connection. Sure, it was still entertaining to guess who the killer was, and there was always a twist, and I am not knocking the ending completely, but...because of the ending they chose, they really didn't need to make 3 screams, because this ending just kind of comes out of the blue. They could have really just made this last one as the only scream and everything would have been fine, because the first two don't really mean anything after seeing the third. Atleast, that is the sense I got from it. Again, it is entertaining, but, the acting just falls off completely, everything seems [poor], and the actors seem to fake every scream (I am wondering though, because they are the Stab actors, maybe Craven wanted it that way, to display how fakey and cheap "Stab" was supposed to be). I also didn't like their loud screams anytime something happened, like someone startled them, everyone was always screaming, and this tends to annoy you, and lessen the meaning of real screams, so they don't startle you as a viewer much anymore. Not a bad movie, but, just didn't seem to flow with the previous two Screams.

Summary: Where the scream stops
Review: Coming off the success of Scream 1 & 2, Scream 3 continues to guide us through the life of Sidney (neve campbell), Gale (Courtney Cox) and Dewey (David Arquette). This film deals more with the past and Sidney's role in this movie is diminished slightly from the previous films. Again, the Ghostface Killer stalks and kills and its up to the cast to find out who the killer (or killers) is/are before its too late. Although not as good as the first two, Scream 3 does entertain and holds up much better than other horror film sequels (Hellraiser 3, Halloween 3, etc.). A must-see for die-hard Scream fans, but regular horror film fans may want to pass on this particular Scream.
