Summary: The Angel of Darkness
Review: Back when Dark Angel first aired I was quite busy with working. Now that I can sit down and watch the season on DVD, I've been quite intrigued by it. I love the show and I was glad i could buy Season 1. SO far i've finished the first disc and I love the series. One day if I become a director, maybe I'll try to option it as a film franchise.

Summary: DA Rules
Review: I bought Dark Angel last night at 8:00 and I stayed up until 1:00 watching the DVD. The reason I bought it was because I started watching the series at the end of season 1 and I never really understood what was happening until I watched the DVDs. I is my favorite TV show, DVD, and video game. i highly recommend you buy this DVD.

Summary: I just finished watching
Review: Dark Angel was my favorite series on television and I cried when it was taken off the air. For mothers day my husband bought me the full first season dvd collection. I wasn't suprised when I finished and realized that I had seen all but one of the episodes. I very much enjoyed watching them again. This series is the most brilliantly put together show in the history of television. The action, drama, comedy potion they cooked up here is origional, inpiring and unmatched. They have a wonderful collection of cast members and writers. I would love nothing more than to see this show back on tv. It was the only reason I tuned into Fox television. I haven't turned to that channel since they cancelled Dark Angel.

Summary: Gotta Love Dark Angel
Review: Well, I wish there was a thousand star rating to give this collection, but there wasn't so I will have to go with five for the time...

With episodes like "Prodigy", "Blah Blah Woof Woof", "Rising", and the end of "Meow", James Cameron really struck gold when he designed and created Dark Angel and he couldn't have put together a more viberant cast.

Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly are the perfect couple!

If you don't have this collection yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Order it now or pick it up some place and get it. The Bloopers are the best on Disc Six and the episodes are the best. (If you haven't guessed, the episodes I mentioned all have Max and Logan chemistry and I just love them)

Summary: Dark Angel- The Complete 1st Season on DVD
Review: I'm a deticated Dark Angel fan. When I found out that season one was coming to DVD I was beyond excited. I think Dark Angel is an awesome TV show and I still don't uderstand why it was taken off TV. I recommend this DVD to anyone who is a fan of Buffy or any other...kicking-girl science fiction shows. I give this DVD 5 out of 5 stars.

Summary: Great script, Great Cast, Great Acting, Bad timing
Review: Like every fan of Dark Angel I was [mad] when it was yanked from the air. It died much to early and should have had a long run, I think FOX pulled the plug too late for the writers to properly bid farewell. Sadly the show was too early to be properly welcomed by viewers, and if it had made its debut now it would have outstanding ratings. Nonetheless this DVD is great for Fans who want to remember the good times, and for people who want a "...piece of the action...". I wish like so many others that a movie will be created but this serves as a wonderful consolation prize.

Summary: Be my dark angel any day
Review: Being a a loyal fan of Joss Whedon and virtually all his creations, my initial preconcieved notions towards this show were kind of contemptful - Fox is putting on a show called "Dark Angel" opposite a show called "Angel". Talk about bait and hijack. However, when I began to view this show, it became highly addictive.
My primary attraction to this show was definitely Jessica Alba as I was hard-pressed to find her on screen anywhere after her memorable stint in the movie "Idle Hands". Though the character of Max was not as multi-dimensional as other super-human female heroines (should be obvious who I am referring to), her appeal laid in her opposing efforts to escape and reunite from her controversial past. The show also provided a sense of dystopian escapism in a "post-apocalyptic" not-too-distant future; one could catch a glimpse of a world which was not necessarily reality, but one that could be in the near future (a massive electromagnetic pulse rendered the technologically dependent Seattle a veritable dark-age). Alba is consistent and often impressive as an indifferent member of society (she's a thief) but is not without her personal sense of right and wrong. Her supporting cast led by fiancee Michael Weatherly (harumpff!!) creates a formidable dynamic for Max's inner-circle. Logan and Lydecker are representative of Max's inability to escape her past while characters like Original Cindy, Sketch and Normal belong to Max's desired circle (I use "desired" loosely in reference to Normal) in her pursuit of a normal life.
The strength of this show lied in its ability to maintain relatively isolated storylines with the subtle presence of an overreaching arc. Most of this season consisted of stand-alone episodes, where some of the more memorable ones involved encounters from Max's past (Ben, Lydecker, Zack, Tinga and other X-5's). The show was eager to get its viewers into the mythology and the history of the characters.
Sadly the run of the series was cut short after the second season just as the epic nature of Max's past and the introduction of Joshua began to flourish and expand the storytelling capacity of the show.
This is a great set for those of you who are new to the show and wish to get in on the ground floor of this story; great stunts, cool bikes and.... uh.... oh yeah...hot chick.

Summary: Great DVD for a GREAT SHOW
Review: If you are a big fan of the show, then you'll love this DVD! Filled with great commentary and hallerious out takes... I'm sure all you fans probably miss the show, it being canceled, but this dvd will allow you to watch it again and again!

Summary: Awesome Show
Review: Dark Angel has been my favorite show ever since it came out on television. I managed to catch most of the episodes, but having the DVD will definitely clue me in on some of the things I missed. Dark Angel perfectly depicted a future America that has been left wrecked by the pulse. For all who have not seen this show you have no idea what you're missing. Why Fox chose to cancel the show after only two seasons is a mystery to me and I am still fuming about it. If you like the show you might also wanna check out the book series that Max Alan Collins started writing after the series was taken off air. The first one is Dark Angel: Before the Dawn. This book sheds some light on some of Max's background that the series didn't go in to. The next book, Dark Ange: Skin Game, skips to continue the series after the last TV Episode, Freak Nation. The third one just came out it's called Dark Angel: After the Dark. I haven't read it yet but I'm sure it'll be great. You might also wanna check out Dark Angel: The Eyes Only Dossier. It gives a lot of background on Logan.(Eyes Only) All together it's an excellent series and Jessica Alba plays her role perfectly.

Summary: Truly Magnificent! One of the best series ever!!
Review: From the very first day I watched this show, and I have seen every episode, I thought it was truly a TV masterpiece. From the story being set in the future, to the setting in a devastated "post Pulse" America, to the characters that just jumped off the screen. This show had it all. I can't wait for the DVDs to come out, I will definitely buy them. I have recorded the episodes from TV and I have most of them, I even spent hours to edit out the commercials, so it will be great to have it on DVD. I recommend this show to anyone, the only pity is that there are only 2 seasons.
