Summary: Vahalla, they are coming...
Review: Jimmy Page has produced another masterpiece...this is an amazing package with remarkably good picture and sound. Choose your own favorite segments, but the 1969 Danish TV segment is extraordinary, with a bunch of youngsters sitting cross-legged, several feet away from the band as they launch into a blistering set from the first album, including "Dazed and Confused". The violin bow makes an appearance, and the song clocks in at a sleek 8 minutes. Little did that young audience know! The other set I love is the acoustic material from Earl's Court.....mesmerizing!
This band did it all like no other, and here's a chance to enjoy...over and over.

Summary: Goin' to California and it has arrived....
Review: I just got the DVD set today. I first saw a link about this DVD set about a week ago and listened and watched some samples from it online. Having seen the band at a "Day on the Green" in Oakland, CA back in the day, and going to the Benefit Premiere opening of the Song Remains the Same in San Francisco, CA I was hoping that this collection of live concert footage would reconcile what I saw of Led Zeppelin live and what I saw in The Song Remains the Same. I'm very pleased to say it has and then some. Those out there worried about the MSG footage...no need to worry! The sites and sounds bring me back to the days of massive stadium concerts and crankin' the volume up on my stereo until the vinyl LP spin'in on the turntable would start complaining it needed better acoustic isolation (no slab of granite just put the turntable on a heavier piece of furniture.) I heartily recommend this to new and old Zep' fans!

Summary: Don't miss the menu screen footage too!
Review: Everyone who's gushing over this DVD collection is absolutely right! It looks great (considering), it sounds great, and there are lots of songs I wouldn't have expected! And let me repeat another's sentiment: Pagey's violin bow routine is GREAT in 5.1!

I'm pretty much chiming in here to point out the fact that virtually every menu screen has some kind of footage/live audio accompanying it. When (not if) you get these discs, be sure to browse all these while you're navigating the meat and potatoes.

One more thing: I don't think anyone's giving the "bonus materials" their due. There are a bunch more live performances here (disc 1)that aren't making some track listings. Check these out too!

I hope you like Dazed and Confused; you'll hear it quite a few times across the set.

And don't pass up the credits!

This DVD rocks!

Summary: LZ DVD Terrific
Review: Wow!! This is even better than expected. The video is terrific and the sound even better. We finally get to see clear pictures and great sound of those moments for which Zeppelin were legendary. For those who've made a career out of bashing LZ, I'd like to hear from you now. These shows demonstrate the energy, creativity and raw sensuality of a Zeppelin live show. Though much of this was available on bootlegs these versions are stellar. Of particular note are the Earl's Court pieces, though through it all the playing is crisp and never contrived. A truly great DVD which shows why all the fuss was made about the best rock band ever.

Review: It really does not get any better than this... my life is complete.

Summary: Outstanding!!!A must have
Review: This disc became better and better with each song. From the first concert on disc one you can see the progression of the band. By the time you pop in the second disc (after watching the first a few times) the experiance becomes an event.
This is a must have disc for any fan and the price is far less than the enjoyment you get from the band

Summary: 4 and 1/2 stars for Zeppelin DVD
Review: WOW...What else can I say this is Zeppelin at their finest. Bonzo is on top of his game when pounding away, Page has amazing solo's, Jones collides well with the beats and Plant, well you know. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was their weren't enough interview footage, I fall more in love with the band after hearing them explain themselves. Anyways a must of live DVD.

Summary: One of the best concert DVD's I own.
Review: I wonder...how old were these guys when they wrote and recorded this material ? Very young weren't they. So listen to the music and you will clearly come to the conclusion that nothing today comes close to the level of genius and virtuosity displayed by the guys in Led Zeppelin. This music is timeless. It is classical music in the rock and roll genre. Bands today try to reach their level but don't come even close. There are some really good bands out there today, but only a few reach legendary status. This music is art in its purest form. For those who want to reach the next level, be humbled by these masters. What I am trying to say is that as young as they were when these recordings were made, these guys were already on a league of their own.

In terms of sound quality, and performance wise, these recordings are superb. As is the image on the DVD set. My only wish is that the DVD's would have been presented in a widescreen anamorphic format, but that's just me. Both the DVD and CD issues rock. I could not recommend them more.

Summary: Freakin Fantastic!
Review: I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan and all I can say about this DVD set is "oh my [...]!!" it is fantastic. First off the 5.1 digital sound and DTS is unbelievable and the picture quality is fantastic too!! The performances are unbelievable!! If you are any kind of Led Zeppelin fan you probably went out the first day like me and bought it. I can't wait for the weekend so I can have some cold ones and crank up my Dolby digital system with Led Zeppelin!! Every thing about the collection is awesome seeing that all we had was The Song Remains the same. You can really tell how the picture quality has been done over in the Madison Square Gardens portion of the DVD because we all know what the quality was of the edition, just wait to you see and here that portion of the new DVD set!!

Summary: My Jaw Hit The Floor
Review: For me, being a younger fan of hard rock, I was born after the began stopped touring together. I have only heard bits and pieces of them play live, and the only time I have seen them live is in "The Song Remains The Same". This DVD has every filmed performance they have ever had. There is no band that can top this.

When I bought the DVD I also bought "How The West Was Won" and again its another amazing record. By far the best track on there is the 25 minute jam of "Dazed And Confused".

These two are must haves for anyone. Zeppelin fan, Hard Rock fan, or any random stranger you meet on the street deserves to have these.
