Summary: Very Good but not Fire Walk With Me or Mulholland Drive
Review: I've long been a fan of "Fire Walk With Me," a companion piece intended for theatrical release instead of series television. That film easily showed Lynch capable of later doing the stellar "Mulholland Drive" of last year. This is the highly watched television series which came before both. It is a lesser work but it is great fun nonetheless. In exploring why and who murdered Laura Parker in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, Lynch let loose a whole barnyard of his oddball characters with their eccentric outsides and dark, deeply layered insides. Actually, this series is a lot more comic than the later works are with Kyle Mclachlan fully able to develop his comedic chops as the world's strangest FBI agent. The later Lynch works I mentioned are much more serious, much more artistic fully realized films than this tv series.

Summary: Note to all Twin PeakAholics!!!!
Review: If you buy the first season make sure you have the TV Pilot and the movie Fire Walk With Me, and make sure you absolutely have the book "The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer" By Jennifer Lynch. The Book puts everything together and makes the movie make sense. There is alot of stuff going on and it will help you understand alot of the weird things that go on in the movie and in the first season.

For all of you who have never seen Twin Peaks you don't know what you are missing. It's great cause you can't watch it just once everytime you watch it you pick up something new. The cleverest thing I've ever watched in my 30 years.

Summary: Wonderful--revised!
Review: I waited and waited and waited before I purchased the full set of VHS tapes of this incredible TV show. After all, 80 bucks is a lot of money, for anything. But I finally took the plunge.

Watching this series for the first time in over 10 years brought back wonderful memories. And it also gave me more insight into the show, being that I only saw a few of the episodes the first time around. If you have an open mind and enjoy something creative and different, TP is for you.

In my original review which I am now editing, the next paragraph described how awful the sound was, and mentioned that the music seemed like it had gone through a Quisenhart several times and was then spat out.

Well, I have since bought a new VCR and TV, and found that the music sounds just fine! So chalk up my original rant to 15-year-old equipment that had started to show its age.

The picture still isn't that great--those browns and reds still tend to bleed a lot. But if you can ignore this fault, TP is still a thing of beauty. But I've heard a lot of good things about DVD quality, so when I stop waiting and finally buy a DVD player, I'm going to get those discs and enjoy a crystal-clear picture, at last.

Summary: When are the next episodes coming ??
Review: Hats off to everyone who harranged Spelling Productions for finally releasing some of David Lynch's and Mark Forst's venture into the macabre and supernatural. However, there were two full seasons and although the later episodes were trite (and obviously at the behest of ABC) the middle episodes when BOB is revealed are crucial to the overall saga. Please let's continue to push for all the episodes being released.

Summary: a simple shame
Review: I could'nt wait to get this beautiful DVD, as I'm a big Twin Peaks fan, but I've been really disapointed to realize that no subtitles at all were on this issue. Not even in english for people who does'nt ear well. No spanish, nor french (some people in Canada speak french you know ?)
I tryed to get in touch with the company, but they ignored me, as arogant as possible.

Summary: Aussie review "Awe inspiring , sigh!!"
Review: Well this DVD box set has been a long time coming, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Box design, picture quality, sound, features all brilliant - I especially like the cast interviews and episode features which include deleted scenes and commentaries. The episode introductions by the log lady are, well, 'out there..' and are, therefore, perfect!! If you are an Aussie Peaks fan, and your DVD player is for all regions, you have nothing to fear with purchasing this version (I've checked with Australian distributors and they don't know when the box set will be released in Australia, so aside from the ...exchange rate my feeling is 'why wait?') My only critique would be the size and colour of the text font, which is a little hard on the eyes. Otherwise, bring on the second box set! Please. Quickly.

Summary: "This is, excuse me, a damn fine DVD collection!"
Review: With a collection like this, any TP fan will be drooling in their black coffee. Wonderful sound, liquid color, fascinating interviews, and tons of extra goodies make this DVD box set a wonderful medium for the eerie and stunning work of art that is Twin Peaks. I can't wait for the second season. Damn fine DVD collection.

Summary: Twin Peaks on DVD - outstanding!
Review: Wow. I missed the first wave on television back when I was in high school so my Twin Peaks experience has always been on well worn VHS tapes rented from the video store.

I am happy to say that has all changed with the release of this beautiful 4 disc DVD set of the first season.

Stunning colors, beautiful sound, and great features abound in this set. I cannot imagine that Twin Peaks has ever looked so good, creepy, strange, wonderful.

Summary: Superb Box Set, Brings back so many memories!
Review: This superb box set collection has brought Twin Peaks back into my life at last!

I already had the pilot (which is NOT and never was part of the first series!!!) on DVD so eagerily anticipated the release of series one.

Some reviewers here need to think a little before slagging off this box set. The pilot is NOT part of the first series!!! HOw many other TV shows include the one off pilot episode in a series one collection?

Also, another reviewer has hand picked a lack of characters from series TWO in their review of this!! All very bizarre.

This set is not available in the UK, so I was delighted when it came up from grabs on Amazon.com

Does anyone know the timescale for series two being released?

Guess what, that will not include the pilot episode either, shock horror!!

Buy, sit back and enjoy the best TV ever made.
