Excuse my little rhyme there, but in the spirit of Freddy. This is a very good DVD collection. You get all 7 movies, plus the very interesting 8th disc containing all sorts of goodies. The picture quality on the movies are very good, and the new Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks give the movies a whole new depth. The extras and overall quality is great. The DVD editions makes the series look better than ever (except perhaps on the big screen).

The commentary tracks are good and informative, all the trailers are in Dolby Digital 5.1. Very good indeed. If you like these movies, and have a DVD. This is a very good buy. END

Review: i admit when i first rented/saw all of these movies i thought they were all pretty worthless save for parts 1&7. i NEVER thought i'd be owning the whole series someday. but when i saw that these had come out on dvd in this huge package and knowing that new line is the BOMB when it comes to dvd, i had to get them....every horror movie fanatic should get these....even if you don't really care 4 freddy like i didn't you should still get these....it's an incredible deal so everyone should get into it.

Review: Freddy is one of the most Know Villain in the world, I thing everyone knows about this guy. This package bring to you every movie and one extra DVD with all the special feature, incredible, the Freddys Dead bring to you the 3D special effects (and one pair of glasses), all the movies except the 2 (freddys revenge), are very good movies, and if you want to buy a Horror Film, this is best package you can buy, because have 8 DVD, for 90$, like 11$ for DVD, and you have the seven film and one extra DVD full of special feature. I recomend you this package I LOVE IT.

Review: one word : WOW ! this is so amazing ! I watched all tapes in two days .... Nightmare on Elm street was the first horror movie I saw when I was six and for me this collection is essential for all fans accross the world. Also to see these tapes in english was really cool because sometime the dubbing in french sucks .... Since now, I decided to buy all my tapes in english. I'll never get bored watching Freddy at work ! Probably the best thing that happen to horror/suspense movie for a decade ! If you don't have it, go buy it, you won't regret it !

Review: It's not mentioned in the technical details, but all the films have Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and it is great! The movies have never looked better. I'm not a fan of all the movies, but they are all entertaining. Parts 1, 3:Dream Warriors, 4: Dream Master, and "7": New Nightmare; are the better ones. This is a great collection and I hope more DVDs are done this well. Also, unlike "The Alien Legacy" box set, the 8th disc is not a "send-for" disc. It's included in the collection and includes alternate endings (you have to find one of them) for the first film. Very cool.

Review: I've had the Nightmare Collection since it was released back in September. All I can say is that the collection is the crown jewel of my DVD stock. The movies look so great, that they feel like all new films. I watched the old VHS transfers and they don't compare. The DVDs are crisp and clear while the VHS tapes are faded and just plain ugly. Sound Quality is outstanding. Plus, the films are presented in their 1.85:1 aspect ratio...the widescreen expeirence from the movie theatre. If you've had second thoughts, don't...this is a must....if you don't have a DVD player...hey...better get one...just don't miss out on these films. Freddy's been brought back to life, and he's never looked, or sounded, better. abe

Review: this is one collection any fan of dvd or horror should not be without, this is what dvd is all about, being able to get your favourite collection of films in special edition box sets with tons of extras and special features i cant think of anything more fantastic than this series of discs, all i can say is give us more collections like this i'll definatley buy them. if you love horror and if you love dvd then you must buy this collection. . . . you must. . . !
