Summary: Better than The Simpsons
Review: Although Family Guy never reached its peak YET because it was too contraversial Fox has done an original thing for once and has decided to bring Family Guy back due to astronomical DVD sales. There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said so I'll leave with this: If you liked Family Guy and want more, voice your opinion by buying this DVD. Also look at these other great "TV" DVD's:
1. Family Guy Volume 2
2. Futurama Volume 1,2,&3
3. The Simpsons Season 1,2,3,&4
4. The Critic Complete series
5. Dilbert Complete Series
6. King of the Hill Season 1,2,3
7. South Park Season 1,2,&3
AND ALSO VOICE YOUR OPINION TO COMEDY CENTRAL ABOUT RELEASING DR. KATZ PROFESSIONAL THERAPIST SEASONS ON DVD.

Summary: In the Words of Peter Griffin "SWEET!"
Review: If you haven't seen this show, you don't know what you're missing! Peter, a slightly loveable oaf, is a husband with 3 children living on a semi-quiet Spooner St., Quahog, Rhoad Island. His wife, Lois, played by MAD TV's Alex Borstein...who is popular for her role as Miss Swan, is a piano teacher, and in the episode "Wasted Tallent", seeking first place in the piano contests. Meg, the daughter, his a girl that worries alot, may I repeat, a lot about her appearance. The voice is done by the actress who plays Jackie in THAT 70'S SHOW. Chris, played by Seth Green, from RAT RACE, THE ITALIAN JOB, and other hit movies, is much like his father...but with more inteligence, artistic views and talents. Stewie, played by Seth Macfarlane, is a talking baby with one thin on his mind...WORLD DOMINATION! And of course, to kill Lois.

Brian, the talking dog, also has only one thing on his mind..."Whose leg do I have to hump to get a dry martini around here!"

These 28 episodes are a wonderful experience for anyone...probably over the age of 13. There is one disk for the first season and three for the second season. Unfortunately, there were only three seasons, but don't worry! The show will be back in January 2005 backed by popular demand.

Review: this is a funny show. this is basically one of my all time favorite shows. they get away with alot of stuff to show it on fox and stuff. that sucks this shows cancled.id rather have this show than the 15th season of damn simpsons. the extras are good to. the thing that sucks is the commentary because they dont really say much. it is funny though when they say bad words in the voice of the characters though. get this dvd

Summary: Favorite show ever
Review: This is the best show ever on TV. Sucks it got canceled off fox but still on Adult Swim. They might be makin a season 4 with 35 brand new episodes. That would be awsome. Anyways the top 5 episodes here are E. Peterbus Unum, Running Mates, Hes Too Sexy For His Fat, I Am Peter Hear Me Roar, and Chitty Chitty Death Bang. E. Peterbus Unum is the funniest episode of any show i have ever seen. I cant wait to get season 3 im gonna watch them all right when i get it. This show is incredible is beats Futurama by far. It is even funnier than the classic...yep it beats The Simpsons. Its that funny. Stuey and Peter and so funny in season 1 & 2. I demand you go buy this right now.

Summary: Biting wit; should be mandatory viewing
Review: As you already know, the show is hilarious and these 4 DVDs capture the complete first two seasons. Unlike some other people, I found the DVD layout to be fine. Included is a brief commentary by the shows creators. It's not as easy to include extras in an animated series, but it doesn't matter; the material itself is worth more than gold.

I have a new DVD player and witnessed no problems whatsoever with the DVD encoding. The picture quality was perfect. I don't really understand why others would complain, but suspect it is their equipment and not these DVDs.

It is true that there is a slight delay when waiting for the programs to load so that several warning screens can be displayed. (But this is par for the course with many DVDs.)

Summary: Horribly Produced DVD sets, wonderfully, FUNNY show!!
Review: I purchased BOTH Family Guy DVD sets and was so excited to get them. But when they came and were played, the DVD encoding was obviously horrible. I am not joking - it seemed like it was a bad home copy of a movie. The encoding was bad because there was frequent blurs and stripes down the screeen. It happened every few minutes or more. At one point, half the screen was erroring in a stripe pattern...I was thinking....this is what I paid for??? The audio would skip too, and this is with a quality DVD player! One of the season 3 disks would load to the menu, but they would freeze EVERY time I tried to play a movie on that disk! I gave up! I am returning these two sets to Amazon for a refund, NOT replacement because I've read other reviews that say this is a common problem. These DVD sets were spit out too fast and quality was NOT an issue. I LOVE this show, it's so funny, but I am so dissapointed with the quality of set: encoding, sound skips, etc for an almost $70 investment for the 2 sets. Not happy......

Also, it's obvious these DVD were produced very quickly. The DVD holders are cheap and thin, the paper ads on the DVDs are misprinted and not straight on the sides, and it just doesn't feel like this set was made well.

ALSO, I MUST say something about load time, not the movies themselves, but GETTING to the movie menu takes over 1 whole minute. Sounds like a minor complaint, but sit there for an entire minute waiting for the show to load because of MANY (4) warnings from the government for copying, from FOX for lawsuit reasons, it takes FOREVER to load......really annoying when you want to watch the movie with friends/family!!!

I love Family guy, but this DVD set's quality was a BIG BIG letdown. better luck to you.

Summary: A nightly laugh
Review: While the Family guy series had only a short life on the Fox network, the fact that based on its DVD sales they are considering bringing it back to primetime TV should say all you need to know about just how funny this show was.

If that is not enough for you, then how about this. While clean enough for prime time network television(although not necassarily an impressive distinction anymore-as is the case here), it is clever enough to truly be a cartoon for adults whether they have a brain or not. In addition to brilliant writing for the voice scripts, there are hysterical references to history and society, some obvious, and some that will leave you asking older generations what they mean. There is a charachter for everyone. Whether you like the boarish and crude father, the evil genius baby, the almost aristocratic alcoholic talking dog, or any of the others, you will find something to laugh at.

Set on the backdrop of cartoon television, I find it impossible not to laugh throughout. My roomates and I can rarely go a week without spending a night watching episode after episode until the early morning hours.
