Summary: Genius and Inventive Characters Combined With Witty Humor
Review: Family Guy is the perfect comedy for anyone who appreciates subtle and large wit and humor. The series provides new and interesting characters as well as a humor that differs itself from The Simpsons and South Park.

One feature that has proven to be absolutely delightful is the recurring flashbacks that appear in almost if not every episode. They keep the viewer on his or her toes and always prove to be funny.

I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates good humor. From a diabolical genius to a fat man to a talking dog, Family Guy proves to be original and bust-out-laughing hilarious.

Summary: Gut-busting Hysteria!
Review: Family Guy is the most hilarious,non-politically correct, laugh riot. Seth MacFarlane is a genius. I am absolutely thrilled that this DVD set is available. This was the best show on TV, a great tension reliever (although we laugh so hard we cry), and a shame to have been cancelled. Rumor has it, it IS coming back in spring - HOORAY! Peter Griffin, Brian the Dog, and Stewie the homicidal baby genius are a riot. If you are easily offended, or slow to grasp a joke, don't bother. The jokes fly out of the characters one after another, and are hilariously crude. Family Guy easily beats out The Simpsons, South Park, Futurama, King of the Hill, and Beavis and Butthead as the very best humorous cartoon. We have both Vol 1 & 2 and watch them constantly. The kids love the goofiness of Peter Griffin, and are often quoting Stewie "BLAST! What the deuce?" A MUST HAVE COLLECTION!

1.Have Cable or Satalite (CABLES BETTER)
2.GO TO CARTOON NETWORK (channel 43 for cable) dont know bout satalite
3.Wait till 10:30 at night or 1:30 at night(thats texas time so for everybody else youll have to figure it out yourself)
4.Get ready for half a hour of laughs

The only downfall is how late it is.

Summary: Family Guy vol.1
Review: Family Guy is often compared to the Simpsons, so if you were to take the Simpsons, add funnier scripts, and more unique characters, you'd kinda get Family Guy. Except Family Guy is much better humored, has better animation, and contains so many jokes it's hard to remember one episode from the next.

The characters in Family Guy are much more unique than The Simpsons; people in their teen years are much more unique than kids that haven't quite reached the double digits. There's Meg, the stereotypical teen, Chris the unintelligent oaf. Move over Homer, we have a new idiot- Peter Griffin, the father. He's much more out there than Homer, and always has funny flashbacks. There's also Lois Griffin, a more humorful Marge Simpson- she is sometimes so clueless it's funny. And, as Bart and Homer were the gems of the Simpsons, Stewie and Brian are the gems of Family Guy. Stewie is a one year old genius, well beyond his years. Brian is a sarcastic talking dog who always brings people down to Earth. Add some other minor characters such as the sex hound Quagmire and the wheelchair bound Joe (who is still stronger and faster than anyone on Spooner Street) and you've got a great cast.

The voice actors are pretty well defined- each of the frequently shown characters has their own recognizeable voice, which become familiar after the first few episodes. The voice actors' voices fit the characters perfectly- Seth Green's squeeky voice for Chris, Seth McFarland's voice on Stewie- that's awesome right there.

Seasons 1+2 are just as good as Seaon 3, but this contains more material and some of the classic episodes- I find myself going back to Wasted Talent again and again. This is worth the money for those that don't get offended too easily (some subjects brought up in the show might not suit everyone).

Summary: Awesome
Review: I read somewhere that only guys like Family Guy- completely untrue, I'm a female and it is my favorite comedy tv show, and tons of my female friends love it. This is a great show, it is such a relief to see something that doesn't sacrifice the humor by trying their best not to offend people. I personally never been offended by this show, because I have a sense of humor. I have watched every episode in this set and I cannot wait to buy the second set. I can hardly believe there are people out there who don't like this show and don't find it funny because it is hysterical. But still, everyone has a right to their opinion. And mine is that this show rocks!

Summary: The funniest show ever made.
Review: I've been watching Family Guy ever since it debuted on Fox in 1999. Back then, I couldn't believe that a show could possibly be this hilarious. Nevertheless, I still feel the same way. Family Guy's humor is very random and off-the-wall, so I don't expect everyone to like it, but saying that you hate this show because it's a "Simpsons rip-off" is completely stupid. First off, Family Guy is funnier than Simpsons could ever be. And secondly, Family Guy only has one or two similarities to The Simpsons, so I'd hardly call it a ripoff. Don't listen to those ignorant idiots who claim stuff like that.

In conclusion, this is the funniest DVD collection ever. Highly recommended.

Summary: Happy to find these!
Review: As many have already told you about this show. I'll just say I caught a few of these shows when they were on the air and after Fox bounced time slots I couldn't keep up.
Thanks to cartoon network I was getting caught up once again with the Griffins and found them even funnier the second time around. So when I saw the DVD's I was hooked! These shows are hilarious. They are rough, offensive and everything that you'd never want to admit to being funny.

They are a wonderful take on Family life. They are hilarious and even on replays I still find them equally funny if not more so. Each character has their own way of making me laugh, but I must admit Peter's spouting off at the mouth without thinking is the funniest. Also, he cusses out of the blue and it will have you spewing your drink.

For a fun escape if you have the sense of humor to take it you should give these a try. They are smart, edgy and hilarious!!

Review: Do not buy this for your child. It is highly inappropriate. My 12 year old received it for a Christmas gift and it is going in the garbage where it belongs.
