Summary: This show is freakin sweet
Review: I was sorely disapointed when this show was cancelled. Sadly, Fox has lost its edge. It would rather show cr*p on that's "inoffensive" than something highly amusing, smart and fantastic. I am saddened that there are people out there who don't get it. Yes..perhaps some might be offended...but let's face it...it's an equal opportunity offender...and that, in my mind is what makes it acceptable. The following is paraphrased..but here goes..I beleive it was the Christmas episode that had to bit characters speaking to one another and one guys says how offended he is. The second guy says that there isn't really anything to be done about it. The first guy says something to the effect of "well, I'll just have to grow a sense of humor"....to all of those that are stuck on political correctness...grow a freakin sense of humor. I'd be more concerned with actual discrimination and hate throughout the world. Finally, for those who think that the family guy is all fart a poop jokes...while those exist they hardly brush the surface of the constant jokes throughout the show. Pay attention people and you'll catch a whole heck of a lot more!!
I personally think the third season is the best, there are some fantastic pop culture references. The "viewer mail" episode was so random (peter gets a theme song!!) I loved it.
Get the DVD...show your love for the show and let's home that someone pulls their head out of their behind and make more episodes...even if they just went straight to DVD, I would SOOO lay out good money to buy them! I understand that there will be a movie in the future and I can hardly wait! I love the show! Love it! love it! love it! love it!!!

Summary: Best Comical DVD Ever!!!
Review: This DVD is just amazing. The menu system is great, and easy to use. Each and every episode has a commentary. And the un-aired "Wish upon a Weinstein" is hilarious. A great gift idea for any fan, or just a great gift to give to yourself.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: Family Guy is by far the best show ever! Though FOX canceled the show in 2002, FOX is considering bringing Family Guy back because the Family Guy DVDs have been selling very well. My three favorite DVDs are Family Guy vol.1, Family Guy Vol.2, and The Man Show Vol.1. I reccomend buying Family Guy to anybody that watches comedy! Buy Family Guy Vol.1 and Family Guy Vol.2 or watch Family Guy on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. If you like Family Guy go to www.briansbar.com . If you want to sign a petition to help save Family guy go to http://www.petitiononline.com/savefg2/petition.html . That petition is trying to save Family Guy and one signature can make a difference.

Summary: Laugh out Loud
Review: This is the best DVD I ever saw. I mean i thought that the simpsons was fuuny but when I saw this I laughed so hard I couldn't breath. Stewie is so funny. On this 3 disc DVD you will laugh every minute that you ae wacthing it and when you are not wacthing it you will think about an episode and you will laugh your head off. That is how funny this DVD is.

Summary: Fantastic -- too bad there (probably) won't be more!
Review: "Family Guy" remains one of the funniest shows ever to hit the small screen. (The character of Stewie remains one of TV's greatest creations, destined to live forever in our hearts. God bless you, Seth MacFarlane!) It's a pity the folks at Fox who were once so seemingly cutting-edge are now so committee-driven that they can't recognize a gem when they see it. Fortunately for us, though, there's DVD.

The package for Seasons 1&2 could have been cleaned up a bit, but this Season 3 transfer looks great!! The commentaries are not necessarily helpful -- Seth MacFarlane and the gang often start riffing, & frequently one wishes they spent more time actually watching the episode & commenting on what was going on therein -- but dang, they're funny!! And they make you feel like you're sitting there with them (being ignored). Practically every episode will have you aching with laughter. "When You Wish Upon A Weinstein" is dynamite.

I do find myself wondering if I'm missing an "in" joke with this DVD set. Jennifer Love Hewitt appears in one episode as Peter's date, and the actress guest-voices herself ... but the jewel case lists "Gwyneth Paltrow" as the guest for that episode. Huh?! It's not possible to confuse Jennifer Love Hewitt and Gwyneth Paltrow ... is it? Maybe I just don't get it. Oh, well.

In any event, fans of the show have likely already bought the set, or are about to. But if you're a fan of cutting edge comedy, do yourself a favor and pick up this DVD set!!

Summary: The laughter never stops
Review: After busting my gut laughing over the first 2 seasons, I was happy Amazon.com offered the 3rd season. This show is easily the best "adult" cartoon ever made. Those who offend easily, and like live their lives in a politically correct manner should stay far away. Family Guy is for those of us who love crude and "stupid" humor. Rumor has it that Seth is busy creating new episodes for Season 4 this spring. I can hardly wait. This complete collection is a must for any Family Guy fan. "BLAST!!!"

Summary: Family Guy Vol.2
Review: Well, this was just as good as the original- we still have the wacky situations, the odd flashbacks, the same intelligent humor, and the great characters (as well as great visuals). Not much is different between this and the other volume, besides how this is a little shorter due to its cancellation.

However, if you liked the first volume or any episode you might've seen, I strongly recommend this to you- as long as you liked what you saw. It is a little edgy, but it's really clever and has pretty complex jokes and spoofs in each episode.

If you've seen the Simpsons and seem to be interested in this show, think of it as maybe an improved Simpsons (I personally think Family Guy surpasses the Springfieldians myself) or the next best thing. It has even better animation, clearer voices, and is overall just more funny- it has many more moments that inspire laughter than almost any other show on TV (although South Park is also up there with it), and if you don't get all the jokes or just don't laugh much, the stories are entertaining just the same.

Volume 1 or 2 will do, as long as you think you know you want this...or something.

Summary: All You Could Hope For, More Laughs than You Can Handle
Review: I had been a Fan of Animated shows for a long time. Especially stupid goofy ones (Anyone remeber Freakazoid?). That being Said, I have long since been a fan of the Simpsons. Many years i watched them and laughed my butt off over them being creative. But after 15 years on the air, they have lost so many writers and talents, that it has started to drift off into truely not being very funny anymore, thought still a bit above average. Seeking new comedy i found this gem of a series, Family Guy, which i saw once and thought that it was a just a simpsosn Rip off.

Boy was I wrong.

I can not say how hard i laughed at this show. It has the most consistent comdey, gages, and psycho Storlines you can get on TV. BUt a word of caution, keep in mind this is just a dumb tv show made to make you laugh. This show also has more politacally incorent things i have ever seen in my life. Greedy Indians, Hinting at a Gay baby, and many many jokes directed at differnt cultures (Rangeing from KLu Klux Clan, to an Episode about the Pope and the Main charictors Father squaring off on GOd issues).

When it comes down to it, if you wnat to laugh, this show if for you. The Dvd Contains all the 3rd Season episodes, and one unaired episode (which is hilarious), about 15 minutes of Bonus animated shorts, the origional Pilot, COmmentary, and two documentaries of the show and how it was made. For its price and its laugher, this Show is great and it well worth the $35 you will pay for it.

P.s. As of December 30th 2003 the show was resigned by Fox to make a comback in late 2004 or early 2005 because its viewings are recieved so well on Cartoon Networks Adult Swim, and because of its amazing sales on DVD.

Summary: The funniest show ever returns with an even better DVD set.
Review: I have recently claimed that Family Guy, Vol.1 was the funniest DVD collection ever. However, I must admit that I was wrong. Family Guy, Vol. 2 is the funniest. This DVD Box set beats Vol. 1 in almost every way possible. There's funnier episodes, better commentaries, and better/more special features. We also get the never-before aired episode "When You Wish Upon A Weinstein" (Well, it was never-before aired when this set came out. Since then, I believe that Cartoon Network/Adult Swim aired it in November).

If you're reading this and contemplating buying this box set, then read no further. Just buy this today.
