Summary: An amazing cinematic epic that is a must see
Review: I watched Band of Brothers when it first came out right before 9/11 and just recently noticed that HBO was running the series again. The first time through the series was just simply an amazing ride through the realities of WWII. BoB not only accurately described the war from the perspective of the men of Easy Company but it showed what it meant to be a soldier during those years. I personally have been inspired to know more about that generation through reading more books by various authors and I encourage everyone who has an interest in these topics to read up on WWII from different perspectives. I think what you will find ultimately is that the soldier in WWII whether American, British, German, Polish, Russian, Australian or Canadian, were all honorable men doing a job for their country. As I sit through this series a second time now, I find it every bit as gripping as the first time. Now I get a chance to look for little things that i missed the first time through. Also.. the quotes.. the quotes in this series are great. My favorite by far is Winters saying to Sobel "You salute the rank not the soldier"...

Summary: EXCELLENT MINISERIES
Review: This is one of those thing that just have to be. This was the best WWII related story ever shown. The action, and cinematograhpy are so real you can actually believe you are really with the caharacters as they run through enemy fire.
The enitre parachute scence was just the best camera work I've ever seen. When this does come out on DVD BUY IT you'll never be sorry about this purchase.

Summary: Band of Brothers.
Review: Well, I like studying about WWII, especially the German forces, and was dubious about the series, as another US story did not seem good.

Boy, can I say I was wrong!? This was fantastic. I was gripped for all 10 episodes. I laughed, I cried and I felt so much sympathy for those guys! It was even more inspiring by having it broken now and then with the real-life survivors of Easy Company.

This is a must for anyone, and I truly hope it is brought out onto DVD, as I will be one of the first to buy it. A masterpiece of filmography, and a credit to those it portrayed. A++++

Summary: Band of Brothers
Review: This miniseries is by far more powerful and exciting than any WW2 movie that I have ever seen. I regret not taping all of them when they were on HBO. I read a lot of different WW2 books and this one puts the words into another perspective. It really shows the emotional bond of these soldiers and goes into great detail of their thoughts and the ordeals that they had to go through. Definitely a must see for any WW2 buff.

Summary: Great miniseries. Can't wait for the DVD release.
Review: I served with the 101st from 1991 - 1995. The history of the 101st Airborne Division is constantly preached and drilled in the soldiers, especially if we are seeking promotions. It's great to see those details that we learned, brought to life so vividly and in great detail. From Bastogne to the Normandy jump, everything is included. Great story, great acting, overall great success.
I do wish that some of the 101st Glider units were included in the story, but I understand that this is one units recall of events.
Overall, a great success, a must see, and a must have for any DVD collection or history buff. Airborne soldiers should definitly see this, to see where we came from and where our roots started. I can't say enough about this great mini series... All the way Airborne!

Summary: Students of World War II History UNITE!
Review: Due to the fact I did not have HBO and my brother who lives 35 miles away did, every two weeks I made the trip to pick up the videos he created with the two latest episodes of "Band of Brothers." This absolutely has to be produced on DVD and needs to be preserved for future viewing in educational institutions. I read Band of Brothers a year before the series came to TV so I was privy to the characters involved. Yes, I still view my "Saving Private Ryan" and ever since "Band of Brothers" came on the scene, I've heard Private Ryan getting slammed. Hey, if you've ever read "Citizen Soldiers" by Stephen Ambrose, you may recognize things throughout that movie that were inspired by his research and writings. He also stood by as a historical advisor for the making of the movie. As far as Band of Brothers (again by Ambrose) goes, LET'S GO!

Summary: Unparalleled, unmatched mini-series
Review: HBO's "Band of Brothers" WWII mini-series is the absolute BEST docu-drama series EVER. The fact that ALL the people portrayed were real human beings makes it even more facinating. To know these guys/kids went through this(some living, some dying) is unbelieveable. Speilberg and Hanks by themselves are geniuses but, together cannot be matched. I couldnt help but think that this would be a MUST HAVE DVD while I was watching it. Please help push the studio to release this on DVD. Everyone MUST experience this story.

Summary: A Must See for everyone
Review: This mini series was very well done. No surprise since it was a collaboration between Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. It took you through every emotion and you felt the commaraderie and brotherhood of Easy Company. It was an action packed movie that showed you what WWII was like through the eyes of these men. I highly recommend this film. If you liked Saving Private Ryan, you will love Band of Brothers.
