Summary: 2nd best
Review: Sailor Moon S is my second favorite in the series. My first favorite is Sailor Moon R. The reason why I didn't enjoy S as much is because the first four sailors, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars and Venus take a back seat to Chibi Moon, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto. The first four sailors usually transform and are of absolutely no help in battle. Sometimes they transform and don't even bother battling. But you still have to sit through them saying "VENUS STAR POWER!" "JUPITER STAR POWER!" ect. Which gets VERY old! You see A LOT LESS of the four sailors in Sailor Moon Super S. I think it's sad that the whole show has to revolve around Serena/Usagi all the time because she's the most annoying character. Her English voice over is just embarrassing. But that's all I have against the show. The rest is the reason why Sailor Moon is the greatest anime ever. Each season has such a good and strong storyline. The best part about each episode is usually before the battles begin though. They could completely take out the monsters and still have a great show. I like being able to read the original dialog on this DVD. I always knew Neptune and Uranus were lesbian lovers but I didn't like Jupiter fell in love with Uranus too for one episode. There are a lot of homosexual references throughout the Sailor Moon series which completely gets edited out in the English dub. Heaven forbid American children find out there are different kids of people in the world!!!

Summary: The start point of the heart collection
Review: Get this dvd it has some very good extras and it has 2 ending songs, the anime is great but there is a few screen jumps but you can rarely tell. this would make a great gift for any sailor moon fan with a new ps2 or dvd player.

Summary: This DVD was brilliant beyond my wildest dreams!
Review: I had started out watching Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network because sadly, I don't have access to the real version. When I saw uncut in the title, I was ecstatic! I would finally get to experience "Bishouji Senshi, Sailor Moon" and not Sailor Scouts. It turned out great! The DVD had both versions so it was easy to compare and the reversible cover suitted my flippant personality as well. This DVD has all my favorite episodes. There's a lot about Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus, two of my fave characters. The anime was so much funnier and entertaining than the dubbed version. This is the most practical DVD ever.I always take it with me when I babysit so when the kids are up, we can watch the dubbed and when they go to bed, I watch subbed. I am fully hooked onto this subbed version now and I expect to buy this whole series. Please trust me and buy this DVD or at least check out a friend's copy. You won't be disappointed!

Summary: if you're a true fan, don't waste your money
Review: true fans of the sailor moon series will know that despite saying "uncut" these dvds are heavily edited. dic, cloverway, and now pionner have changed a great deal of the main story to "protect" the american audience. for instance, in the orignial series, zoycite was orginaly a guy, but because he was in a homosexual relationship with malachite (kuncite in the manga), they decided to make him a her. in this series, the main diference is haruka and michiru are not cousins, they are lesbian lovers. this is the story in both the manga and the orignial japanise cartoon. however, for those who can't get the original, this is an acceptable, tho poor substitute.

Summary: Uncut=Unbelivably FUN!!!!
Review: Laides and Gentalmen, The Motherload has arrived! I have waited a long time to see Sailor Moon uncut, and this DVD has fufilled nearly all my expectations. Before I begin with the content a quick discussion of the technical aspects of this dvd. It's sound and picture quality are top notch. If you have only seen these episodes on tv you must see this dvd, it looks far better than the cartoon networks display. This is however a barebones dvd. You get a textless opening with kareoque sing along option, and little else. The dvd has both original japanse and english audio tracs with english subtitles. The good news is the japanse trac is the original dialougue, completely uncensored. The bad news is the english dub is ridideled with a sickening amount of censoring. For laughs leave the english on and put on the subtitles, then watch the final episode on this dvd, and you will see how utterly terrible the dub job that appears on American TV is. At the end of it all I could say was " Silly Americans", and this is coming from an American.
Now that that's out of the way, if you are a sailor moon fan this is definetly the thing to buy. I personlay feel the S season is the best of the seasons seconded by the first season. So much happens in this season. We have new soldiers, new attacks, much more character development, and even more amazing monsters. As an added bonus we get the original openning and closing of the episodes, and even the episodes previews ala Cowboy Bebop. The only reason this dosent get 5 stars are because of the lack of extras and the dubbing. I can't say enough good things about this series. Lets hope that American TV lightens up and realizes that people don't need to be shielded from things like homosexuality and differing cultures, mabey then we will all be able to enjoy sailor moon without having to learn japanese.

Summary: Sailor Moon S finally comes to DVD
Review: I am so happy that they are finally putting the full blown Japanese version on DVD and bringing it to America! This is one of the best anime's ever!

Summary: A great start to a great season
Review: This is, by far, the best season of the Sailor Moon run. You have the classic comedy, packed action, and loveable charectors. This season is all about the mysterious new Sailor Soldiers who need to retrive the three tailsmans at any cost. The evil villans want the pure heart crystals which contain the tailsmans, too. It's up to Usagi, Ami, Rei, Mako, and Minako to save the universe, once angain, but in a far more serious way.

I suggest that you watch the Japanese language version, the english version does the show no good. One of the changes: the mysterious soldiers, Sailor Neptune and Uranus, are lesbians. Now they don't go into lovemaking scenes or anything between the two of them, but America decided to turn them into cousins, which gives it a really eerie feel to it.

The first disc starts out the season with Sailor Moon getting a new transformation, which always reminds me of a champion skater. The outer soldiers are "introduced" to the inner soldiers in two seperate episodes. Each one lets you get to know the charectors to know that they're not nessesarily evil, but just doing their job. The first disc has a tatal of 7 un-cut episodes in japanese, and the cartoon network-airing english episodes. Out of all of the anime tv shows out there, Sailor Moon is still one of the best.

Summary: Sailor Moon S Heart Collection 1 Review
Review: There is no doubt that if you are a moonie you will love this DVD! Regardless, if you want to skip ahead and buy the latter collections first, resist the temptation. I recommend that you go in order.
This SM collection DVD will, in my opinion, have the best layout in the overall interactive menus of the series DVDs. This holds the origin of the battles between Sailor Moon and the Death Busters. Watch as the villainous Professor Tomoe targets the hearts of even the Sailor Scouts/Senshi, Raye and Lita! Aside the fact that it contains 7 (that's a lot) -uncut- (thank God for Pioneer) episodes w/ English and original Japanese dialouge (and subtitles, oh yeah!), it also contains a cool gallery in the extras department of Usagi/Serena/Sailor Moon and her new additions (the compact and the rod).
[Note: The date is now 2/14/02.]
I currently own only the first two Heart Collection DVDs, they are great and strongly encouraged among anime and Sailor Moon okatu. From personal experience, you will make yourself feel better if you buy the DVDs in order. Don't cheat yourself ^^.

Summary: Another review that may help you decide
Review: Thinking about watching the beginning of Sailor Moon S? Well,
the new series have been very highly rated and almost unanimously voted as the best series. In this volume, the sailor scouts are faced against an onslought of enemies once again...who seem even more powerful than anything they have fought before. Help arrives in the form of two powerful, and new, Sailor Scouts, making their first appearance with earth-shattering powers.
On top of that, Sailor Moon casts away her old transformation, and significantly increases her power by gaining a brand new transformation using the Moon Spiral Heat Scepter, equipped with an awesome attack.
With the help of her fellow Sailor Scouts, they manage to stop their enemies as they come, even if the new Sailor Scouts did not join the group, who rather want to take matters in their own hands.

This is a four star DVD since the Sailor Soldiers other than Sailor Moon themselves don't power up, they really dont seem to play a significant role.

Summary: Great DVD
Review: I have these DVD's and I think its great how you can chose from the dubs to subs. The subs are great they really tell the story and is way better than the dubs. I think DIC ruined Sailor Moon big time. PIONEER really did a good job on the S Collection DVDs and when I finish collecting the S series I will start on the Super S series.

Mars Star Power!
