Summary: great animation wasted on lifetime channel style story plot
Review: The story plot is hum drum and geared very much like a movie script written for an actual lifetime channel movie as opposed to a more apropriately written script .Just wasted talent on a drab script .The two main characters being a man and woman roam around town trying to deal with depression they have over the loss of a rebel girl .Dialect is spearce in this movie .At least it has alot of gun fire but even that display is a bit drab .Great animation work which is why I rated it a three .

Summary: Great Anime... poor dvd
Review: Lots has been written already on how great this movie is so I won't elaborate beyond agreeing that this is a must for those interested on good, serious Anime--I give it 4 stars. Also, as many of you have also indicated, the quality of the DVD is rather poor--I give that 2 stars. If you are interested on finding a good quality copy then go to the 'cdjapan' website, where they have better reproductions. This, provided you can watch region 2 DVDs.

Summary: Character spy type pot boiler
Review: THis is mostly a character driven type of anime. THe animation itself is very beautiful and had a fluid painted quality about it. The story itself is basically a drama, that's right, not an action film but a human drama. The plot is about various govenment organizations, to do with law and order, competing against each other in ways that involve all kinds of different subterfuges and intrigue, with the aim of getting authority in their particular area of jurisdiction. There are not really any heroes, just villains in the sense of two sides both prepared to do anything to achieve their goal. At the centre of this struggle are two characters, a girl who is basically a complete victim who is completely manipulated and an older guy called constable Fuse who briefly discovers his heart, only for it to become cold again as he slowly recommits to one of the organisations. So it's pretty bleak and about alienation also, and this kind of interweaves with the "version of little red riding hood' that is delineated through the story.
Despite it's rather pessimistic view it is still a good film and worth having or seeing in my opinion.
