Summary: CARE BEARS MOVIE 2-A NEW GENERATION Is Great!!^_^
Review: I maybe still a kid.. at the age of 16... but I loved this movie!! The first one was great and the second one was just the bomb! I didn't quite understand why they felt they had to show the Care Bears as cubs in the beginning because everyone knew them as already grown up. but That's alright it was still cute. And I thought Hadley Kay did a great job! in the first one and second one! Dark Heart was a powerful character. He learned that he could Care for Kristy and that they really were his friends.. the world wasn't so dark after all. He was my favorite. He's what made the movie so cool. Even though he was pretty careless at times with his powers.. but all villains have their problems. :) I didn't think this was a bad movie.. I mean of course its going to be Cheesy :) its for children... You just don't find many cartoons like this anymore for young kids to watch on TV.. Well this review is kinda weird.. but i just wanted to back up The Care Bears Movie II!! Its a great movie, cute and sweet. Just how it should be ^_^

Summary: A great childhood memory to revisit over and over again
Review: The classic cartoon characters portray necessary childhood life-lessons and morals. As found in all of the Care Bear films, the tender-feelinged bears try to help those who have forgotten what it is to need someone. In this particular film, as with most of the other films, there were the classic souls in distress and villains. In this particular film there is one imparticular child, who in her own distress, makes a deadly deal with a evil villain, not realizing what the repercussions of her actions would be. But, as with most films for children, the ending is always happy and by the end, everything is as it should be. In a world filled with uncertainty, violence, and bad-influences surrounding children of today, it's nice to see a movie where everything is ok and everyone is happy.

Summary: "Caring Sequel Summed Up in One Word: 'Immature' "
Review: If you look at the video cover of "Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation," you, as a grown-up, probably know what's in store for when your kids see it. What were the people at Canada's Nelvana Limited thinking when they decided to start this movie? My guess was that they were not mature enough to make this sequel. I even thought as a kid that this was a good promise, but it turned out to be an embarassment to see the film, even when True Heart Bear and the rest of the Care Bear family encourages the audience to care for Christy to break out the spell Dark Heart puts on her. But I said to myself that I'd do this review anyway. Once more, the Care Bears go back into time to their childhood, growing up to become the champions of Caring, saving the camp from Dark Heart's negative influence, including saving the kids John, Dawn and Christy. Like I said before, sequels are practically disappointing. And this film, is no exception. Especially the stars, like Hadley Kay (Superman II) who plays Dark Heart. However, toward the middle of the film, my favorite (Cheer Bear) did what she did best a bad situation: cheer up. Nelvana Limited/Columbia Pictures, 1986, Rated G.

Summary: Care Bears are for everyone
Review: I cannot tell you how excited I was to see this movie going to DVD. I've loved the Care Bears ever since I was a toddler, and just because I am 22 doesn't change that. My nieces love this movie as well. There are several catchy songs that you will be singing days after and there's the chance to see the Care Bears as cubs in little diapers. It's precious! Even better than the first Care Bears movie.

Summary: Still love this movie
Review: I have seen this movie many many times since I was a baby. Then around 5 years ago I lost my Care Bear movies. Three days ago i was reunited with a copy of the movies. I am 17 years old and still watch Care Bears! The movies are too cute! I loved watching these movies when i was growing up and watching them now takes me back to a better time. I suggust that kids see this movie... not just kids alone, but the kid in all of us.

Summary: TOO SCAREY
Review: I don't know why this got good reviews from parents. Care bears are cute and a good idea BUT why do they always have to have a scarey villian! This was way too scarey for my son. You aren't safe with practically anything today. Kipper is your best bet if you want to be safe.. and even kipper occationally gets into a stressful situation or two for a preschooler. If you are looking to be safe read the review on the Kipper tapes and see if your child can handle the subject matter on each... They are the best I think.

Summary: Very saccarine!!!
Review: I won't let my kids watch the Care Bears. Just 10 minutes of this super sweet trash makes you want to run away screaming. There are better ways to convey the concepts of caring.

Summary: Greatest Animated Film of All Time.
Review: Aside from my basic childhood love of the Care Bears and of this film in particular, this is a remarkably well done film, and easily the greatest animated film of all time. I've since grown up from wearing out my old VHS copy, and am a film student now, and looking at this movie seriously was really rather surprising. Everything was done well. Story, characterization(especially of Dark Heart), the songs, all of it was spectacular.
The biggest weakness is that while John Dawn and Christy are at summer camp(presumably the same year) the Care Bear cubs all become full grown Care Bears. This can be written off easily just by saying that the care bears are magical, but it's bothered me since childhood and is the only real blemish on this otherwise perfect movie.

When looking at it in the grand view of the history of the Care Bears it doesn't make much sense that, although they were introduced years later, the Care Bear Cousins and Care Bears were all cubs together, and then seemingly forgot about each other.

In summation this film is easily the greatest animated feature in the history of animation, and also in the top ten films of all time. Given a choice between Citizen Kane and Care Bears II, I'll take Care Bears II.

Summary: Cute
Review: I really enjoy this movie. It brings back so many wonderful memories as a kid. I think its good for children of the eightys and new kids, who cant find any thing else great on TV. The Care Bear series really does teach about caring. As corny as that sounds.
