Summary: "We belong together -- we belong dead"
Review: As a child who was terrified of Chucky throughout the late 80's/early 90's and who grew to love him and the 'Child's Play' movies, I was pumped when I first went to see this in theaters almost five years ago. It was everything a movie of it's nature should be: Entertaining, shocking, gorey, and of course, funny. The special effects were excellent and Jennifer Tilly and Brad Dourif played perfectly off each other as the doll version of Bonnie & Clyde. Today, all of that still holds up. No matter how many times I watch it, I am still enthusiastic about it and it is never dull. 'Bride of Chucky' begins with Chucky's remains (basically a trash-bag full of chopped up Chucky parts, calling back to part 3) being stolen from a police evidence locker. Chucky's old flame (when he was flesh & blood, mind you) Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) resurrects him and a series of events leads to her soul becoming trapped in a doll as well. The duo hitch a ride to New Jersey, to dig up Chucky's body which contains a special jewel that will allow them to transfer their souls into any other human (yeah, it's a stretch). They are led by unsuspecting newlywed couple Jade & Jesse (played by Katherine Heigl & Nick Stabile). As the body counts rises and the couple unknowingly leaves a trail of blood behind them, they are framed for the crimes and suddenly find themselves outlaws on the run. John Ritter has a minor role as Jade's verbally abusive uncle, whose body takes much abuse throughout the course of the movie (just a small bit of the black humor). 'Bride of Chucky' of course isn't meant to be taken seriously. It is fully aware of itself ("It's a long story - in fact, if it were a movie it would take 3 or 4 sequels just to do it justice") and the deaths are horribly hilarious at times. If you liked Chucky's little one-liners that were sprinkled throughout the previous movies, you'll definitely get your kicks out of this movie. For the first time, Chucky is the center of the movie. The Andy saga has been pushed aside, and although I would like to see the character return in a future sequel, it's nice they took a break and focused more on our anti-hero. The movie is masterfully directed by Hong-Kong filmmaker Ronny Yu (Formula 51, Freddy Vs. Jason). He brings a unique style and flavor to not only the movie, but the entire series. His is, hands down, the best looking installment so far. Backed up by a meaty heavy-metal soundtrack (White Zombie, Slayer among others) this is one movie that Chucky fans and horror fans alike can all enjoy. Universal is pretty generous when it comes to extra material on DVD's and this is no exception. The DVD contains two commentaries: The first done by director Ronny Yu, and the second done by Chucky creator & writer of all 4 movies, Don Mancini and stars Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly. There is quite a bit of unexposed information in these commentaries, they are definitely worth listening to. We also get a "Spotlight: On Location" featurette which is basically a montage of interviews. Standard production notes & theatrical trailer are included, along with "Jennifer Tilly's Diary," which basically tells her story of how she came to be involved with the movie and how it was made and "the History of Chucky" which recalls Chucky's previous activities up until now.

Summary: CHUCKY'S BACK AGAIN AND THIS TIME, HE'S NOT ALONE!
Review: THIS IS A BIG IMPROVEMENT OVER 3. THIS TIME, CHUCKY IS SOWED BACK TOGETHER AND IS RE-AWAKENED BY HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND [JENNIFER TILLY]. HOWEVER, CHUCKY ACCIDENTALLY KILLS HIS EX. TO ADD TO THE SUSPENSE, CHUCKY PASSES HIS GIRL'S SOUL ONTO A DOLL. AND TOGETHER, THEY GO ON A KILLING SPREE. THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO CONTINUE THE SERIES. UNLIKE THE SEQUEL THAT CAME BEFORE THIS ONE, THIS MOVIE IS VERY EXCITING AND VERY THRILLING. THIS SHOULDN'T DISSAPOINT ANY FAN OF THE SERIES.

Summary: All round excellent - how do you spell w-o-m-a-n?
Review: I did not enjoy the original Chucky movie, and steered clear of the second two. However, with Bride of Chucky (the fourth in the series), I had heard many great reports, so decided to take a chance and hire it. Boy am I glad I did, because it was a very refreshing and funny film to watch.

The film is a send-up of the whole Chucky idea in a way. It can be considered black comedy to an extent, but it's important not to take the film too seriously. Just sit back and enjoy the excellent special effects and humour. In my opinion, Jennifer Tilly steals the show from beginning to end. You will love it when she becomes a doll.

I just watched this for the second time. I first saw it in 1999 and wondered if would still have the same impact. It did, and I thoroughly enjoyed it all over again.

DVD SUMMARY - Unfortunately the DVD version I have only offers full screen format (1:33). This is the sort of movie that will be enjoyed more in widescreen, so make sure you get the DVD widescreen version (1:78)

Summary: HELLO DOLLY!
Review: "Bride of Chucky", what can I say? One of the most original, self aware black comedies of the 90's. A troup of well rounded, well acted vibrant characters, top notch direction from Ronny Yu and clever screenwriting from Don Mancini make this movie a vivacious little gem of the horror/comedy genre and the best of the "Childs Play" series. The fact that the movie manages to be both scary and funny when it matters makes it a unique experience in it's own right and when you've got Brad Dourif coupled with Jennifer Tilly it redefines the meaning of chemistry. This has to be the best maniacal onscreen romance since Bonnie and Clyde graced our screens way back yonder! The murder set pieces are creative and cinematic yet this doesn't take itself too seriously and knows exactly when to wink at the audience. The DVD transfer is beautifully crisp and clean of all artifacts, actually this is one of the best non THX transfers I've witnessed and the AC3 soundtrack nukes throughout the movie. As a bonus you have commentaries by Director Ronny Yu, actors Jennifer Tilly and Brad Dourif as well as screenwriter and Chucky creator Don Mancini. There's a fun behind the scenes featurette, a theatrical trailer for the movie and another uncredited theatrical trailer for "Childs Play 2" hidden is Brad Dourifs Biography. Mix this with Jennifer Tilly's hilarious on set Diary and you have one of the best, highly recommended DVD releases so far.

Summary: The Worst of the Worst
Review: The Childs play series is the second worst horror series ever written next to Scary Movie Series. In bride of Chuckey Tiffany charle lee rays girl get possed of the Chucky doll and puts him back together. Apparently she is Chuckys girls friend.

It is called bride of Chucky because Tiffany buys a bride doll. Chucky kills her by shocving a TV into the bath tube eletricuting here. After kill her he transfer her sole into the bride doll.

Together the team up and set out on a quest to retrive the heart of Bedla whihc they need to trasnfer there souls into human bodies.

In the end Chucky and Tiffny kill each other and Tiffany gives birth to a baby then dies. The worst of the four child playin series. I here there planing on making a fifth one I crumba. Why do the make sequel to these bad movies. You see five sequels to Leprechaun but did you ever see a squel to Little Shop of Horrors remake the best musical ever made no. I will nevr understand how people like Chgild play, Leprechaun and nigmare one Elm which all of them suck except for the fourth one and Freddy Versus Jason

Summary: should have stopped with 3
Review: I saw this film on the Sci-Fi channel. And I'm glad I did, cause this movie, simply put; is a turd. I would never pay to see this flick. Not scary, whoever thought of turning chucky into humor should be fired. I've only seen Childs play 3 and this piece of crap. Now I found 3 to be a lot more fun to watch then this piece of ... (fill in the blank) Whoever thought this film was scary needs to see some real stuff. And to make things worse I've heard they are making Seed of Chucky. That will probably be worse. Avoid this film at all costs unless you want to see cr@ppy films and make fun of them.

Review: For those who don't know Chucky's background - he came to life when a serial killer got gunned down inside a doll store. It was then when his soul passed to Chucky.
In this movie, Chucky is as evil as always but surprisingly this time he ends up killing "bad guys" but he enjoys ruining peoples lives.
Seeing a doll marrying another doll was more funny then scary. They even make love and kiss with tongues and that made me laugh out loud. It's just to funny but you really must be over 18 to watch this movie. It scared a sh. out of me despite the funny side of it.

Summary: Some dissapointing things and some very good things!
Review: "Bride of Chucky" is NOT a dumb horror movie, like we have seen so much times. But it is close to it.

This movie begins pretty good, with a very good and even a little scary opening sequence. Actually is the whole first half of the movie pretty good. But as soon as chucky begins to fall in love with Tiffany, he becomes less scary and are even the deaths much gorier than how they would be if they would happen in real life.

An other thing that makes this movie totally different than the other Child's Play movies is that you see Chucky much more. Because now is the whole story of the movie about him. That could be a good thing. But now becomes Chucky much too funny.

Overall is this movie not bad, because of the good special effects (Chucky and Tiffany are looking very realistic) and the good songs. It's even better than Child's Play 2 and 3 because of the original story.

So don't expect much. Just expect a fun movie for a fun evening with friends (and watch it when it's dark, and on DVD for some realy cool sound effects)

Summary: Phenomenal, the finest one of its kind!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This film is funny, but also is suspenseful and has a few terrifying and jumpy bits in it. I think is was one of the best Chucky films and it is worth seeing and purchasing this movie. The ending was shocking and it was a thrill ride of laughter and screams. I am looking forward to the next Chucky but I don't believe it could possibly match this one .I gave it 5 stars because I was never bored and I could watch it over and over again any time because it was truly a master piece.
