Summary: I've seen it all
Review: I'm not big on horror, but I've seen them all,Freddy,Jason do they ever die?Thats what makes them so good to watch and this is there best yet.The plot was great how they showed the past of both charactors, so if you forgot anything it was refreshed in your memory, so watch Freddy battle Jason in this gruesome duel to see who comes out on top. A "heads" up be ready to see another one ,Enjoy!!!!

Summary: horror has never been so horrible
Review: I had a problem beleiving anyone would shell out $10 to see this piece-o-crap once the word got out.. now its on DVD and again im amazed anyone would actually rent it let alone buy it These two bad boys should have never met.. freddie (cool) jason (cool) mike myers (cool) combine any of the two and you have one very bad movie.
This movie will no doubt go down as a cult classic cuz its so bad ae: plan 9, monsturd ( yeah this one will wedge in their nicely) If your into bad I mean really bad film.. this is for you.. but if you want horror films to be horror films skip this one. worse case the movie ends without a winner.. thank hollywood at least they kept it under 90 mins.

Summary: THESE HORROR LEGENDS FINALLY DO BATTLE.
Review: This movie will only be appreciated by true fans of both series. This movie was alot of fun to see because it had lots of action, gore, nudity and harsh language. The acting wasnt the best but all these type of movies are intended to have cheesy acting. The story was good and freddy was more serious and not as goofy as he has been in the past.Jason was truly menacing and the 2 fights in the movie is reason enough to purchase this movie.GO OUT AND GET THIS TODAY YOU SICK FREAKS!!!

Summary: Very Pleasing....
Review: Now that it has finaly come to DVD and I can enjoy it in its entirety, I am still very strongly convinced that this movie is not as bad as it was protrayed to be. Still it did have some largely noticable flaws...The acting was next to horrible but who wants to see this movie for the acting? It's all about Freddy and Jason fighting it out.

The movie starts out in an amazingly written summary from Freddy about his past life and what had happened to him. Then he goes into detail about how he needed someone to ressurect fear in the hearts of the teens on Elm Street. Then we get into the movie and see a camp counsulor swimming in the lake and then being killed by Jason who is being convinced to go to Elm Street and kill again. But his mother is really Freddy in disguise. Then we meet our cast, most of which cannot act but for the most part carry the story along into some interesting and at times confusing plot twists. But it all leads up to an institution where Jason is put into a dream with Freddy and we see the 1st of the 2 fights. In this fight Freddy woops some...tail. The surviving cast takes Jason, while asleep, back to Crystal Lake so they can pull Freddy out of a dream and he can fight Jason in the real world and this brings us to the 2nd fight which at times can be silly but for the most part is great. Then we see Jason come out of the water holding Freddy's head and just when you think it's over, Freddy winks, meaning, of couse, there's a sequal. And who would really complain about that?

Yes Freddy Vs. Jason has its faults but they are indeed outweighed by the good story line and the way the movie is portryaed. This DVD has amazing extras! One of the best DVDs out there. Amazing movie, amazing DVD...whats not to like...?

Summary: Dumb Meets Dumber
Review: As I watched this movie unfurl, I seriously wondered if the creators were doing a rip-off of "Scary Movie," which I really enjoyed. But noooooo. You've got the usual teens doing stupid things like the guy who hears something outside his house and goes out there in the dark yelling, "Is somebody there?...Hello, is somebody out there?" Then you had the stupid young girl who strips naked and dives into water because she's certain her boyfriend will follow. Naturally, the killer comes after her and...this was such a horrible waste of disc and talent. after 45 minutes, I finally had to call it quits. I loved the Nightmare series but in this horrible botched up junk, Freddie goes out with a burp instead of a bang.

Summary: Good, but......
Review: This was one that horror fans waited a long time for, Freddy vs. Jason, Kreuger vs. Voorhees, claw vs. machete,....I could go on and on! The action was great here, great kills and the usual great Freddy humor. This one, however, isn't five stars for one major reason.....Ken Kirzinger. Kane Hodder IS Jason, there is no way anyone else should have been cast as Jason. Kane puts his all into Jason, he gave the greatest performances as Jason that have been done. Put Kane in here as Jason and you have a five star plus release. Kane would have been able to help the writers and producers make this better, they obviously didn't know enough about Jason after watching this. Cudos to Robert Englund, as always, for making Freddy as entertaining as ever. This movie could have been so much more with Kane Hodder as Jason, but it is still very good.

Summary: Where's Jason's face?
Review: Anyone know where the scene showing Jason's face is? It was supposed to be on the DVD, but I don't see it. Anyway, the movie was okay.

Summary: 10 Years of Waiting = A lot of dissapointment
Review: The Movie...

Ugh, what hasn't already been said? It is hard to believe that after some 17 screenplays, this was the best. With characters jumping to snap-judgements/conclusions with what is going on, to making beyond stupid decisions (I know this is a horror flick, but some of the decisions made by these characters were so ridiculous you question whether or not this movie is meant to be taken seriously or as a spoof), all the way to the ending this movie almost appears as if it is meant to be bad.

The most glaring flaw of the movie is of course the acting, or lack there-of. The two teen stars, Lori (Monica Keena) and Will (Jason Ritter) often overact, making you wonder if you are watching a movie or a high school play. Ritter, who has a total of 2 facial expressions, should look into soap operas... he would fit right in. Keena is oftentimes overshadowed by what would appear earned her the part in the film, her breasts... which Yu takes advantage of with many over-head camera shots. Kelly Rowland proves she is a card-carrying member of the "My musical career is going nowhere fast so lets try acting" club, by coming off as annoying and unbelievable. These kids are who we are supposed to be rooting for, but with acting performances like theirs, you will find yourself grinning at the mere hint of danger in the flick, possibly signaling their deaths and the end of the torture of watching them perform. Robert Englund does well as Freddy once again, although his use of the "f" Bomb and the word "B*tch", borders on annoying. Ken Kirzinger does fine as Jason, but then again so could an ape... with zero lines and almost that much body language, the role is easy to fill... thus I never understood the big deal with Kane Hodder not being casted.

Some of the positives of the movie are as follows: The Gore, tons and tons of it here, you like Blood? If so, you'll love the action here. The reasoning for the two terror icons being brought together is believable thus making the movie not a total crap-fest.

With Freddy vs. Jason you are either going to love it or hate. There is no in-between. Rent it and make up your mind.

The DVD...

What the movie lacks, the DVD makes up for with some very nice special features...

Deleted/Alternate Scenes... Nothing to go nuts over, although Freddy does have some good one-liners in a couple of them.

Fangoria Article... Detailing the problems with the film. Really sheds light on everything this film went through to get made.

Multiple Featurettes... Especially cool is the stunt feature, detailing the Jason Burning/Rave Sequence. There is a short feature on Make-up, which discusses/shows Freddy's make up process... my only complaint on this is it didn't show any Jason footage.

Overall the DVD is pretty well stacked, the movie though leaves a lot to be desired.

Summary: It has impact and humor, but I wanted more!
Review: As someone who enjoys horror films, I wanted more! For instance, the part when Jason invades the cornfield rave and slashes his machette thru those guys and you see blood spurting from their chest. I wanted to see that blood shooting out more clearly! Like the third guy by the beer barrel that gets slashed. It didn't even look like he got it. The lighting could have been better to distinguish the blood better against the dark background. We need red blood people! Scene cuts to the regular characters finding their dead friend, then Jason cuts a couple more. But without giving us a chance to enjoy the blood! C'mon!!!

Also, I wanted to see Freddy use his glove on people! At least he used it on Jason a lot. And why did Jason have sleepy eyes?

Thats why I gave it 4 stars. Other than that, a great movie and still worth getting on DVD. I like the feature where I can watch all the death scenes one after another. My favorite is when Jason throws his flaming machette right through the large guy in the cornfield. And it's still on fire! Pure genius!!

Summary: Awesome!
Review: Man was this movie awesome! I've never been the biggest horror movie fan in the world but I had to see this one, and man was I glad I did! This movie is everything I thought it would be. The final showdown at the end was the best. I reccomend this movie to anyone and everyone who likes Horror Movies, and maybe even if you don't!
