Summary: A CLASSIC WAR EPIC.
Review: Zulu tells the story of the true story of a regement of British troops who sucessfully defened Rorke's Drift from Zulu warriors 40 to 1 odd's. Micheal Caine and Stanley Baker head the cast in this terrific war film. Micheal Caine shines as the young aristocrat who is forced to bravery by extreme measures. Great battle scenes, great score and great acting. Zulu is a classic, one to own and cherish.

Summary: Sheer Cinemati Spectacle!
Review: I must have seen this film 50 times, and never tire of it. It was great to at last see a widescreen video print, this shows the sheer scale of the picture in all its colourful glory, what with the Red coats of the Welsh Regiment against the blue skys, and the colourful Zulus with their shields fighting for what would seem an easy task to wipe out 100 men, when earlier in the day they had just killed 1500 men. This is true movie making as it should be. Great Music score, great fighting sequences, great Zulu singing and taunting the enemy, a very good script,(Because we're here lad, that's why....) and some fine acting, this film has no flaws. I wish it was longer than its 135 mins running time! This is certainly the one desert Island film I would choose. Not to be missed at any cost.

Summary: A must have for every video collection
Review: I have watched this movie 15 times and never tire of it. It is historically accurate, of course. Its real strength lies in its honest exploration of the English class system (ironic that poor boy Michael Caine grows up to be an actor, and his first role is playing an aristocrat in this film) and in its honesty about the English role in South Africa, and its unabashed admiration of the strength, valor and bravery of the Zulu people. The compelling battle scenes owe much to skillful editing. A must have for any collection.

Summary: The heart and soul of Imperialism
Review: I have seen this movie soooo many times that I can quote great passages of the script by heart! "I'm going to make a soldier out of you, Hook - like what they pays you for! Now PUT YOUR TUNIC ON!" And then there is "Whew! He's a Peeler 716 - Come to arrest the Zulus!" If I were marooned on a desert island and only had ONE movie, this would be it! The Zulus, magnificent in both dress and bearing give the Brits all they can handle. The singing on both sides is great and the marriage dancing in Ceteswayo's krall at the first of the movie is unchallenged in honest depictions of African life. If you have not seen this movie then your life is infinitely poorer!

Summary: A thrilling showcase of bravery.
Review: Zulu was a very exciting and graphic war movie. It depicted the amazing battle of Rorke's Drift. In this battle, the Zulus decided to attack a battalion of 105 British soldiers. The reason was unclear, but it seemed that the attack was primarily for sport. The Zulus had over 4,000 warriors and were on their way home from the battle of Isandlwana. The British soldiers showed courage in the face of adversity, as they overcame 40 to 1 odds. This movie exemplified bravery, the likes of which very few people know about.

Summary: A great war film.
Review: This is a great film about the events that took place at Rorke's Drift. It shows the fighting spirit of the British when forced with overwhelming odds. It also shows that the Zulus were much smarter than the British realized. I enjoyed watching the fighting scenes which show the "never give up attitude" of the British. This is a very enjoyable film for those who like films of the military genre.

Summary: Realistic, yet exciting
Review: This movie seemed to be a very realistic protrayal of the Battle at Rorke's Drift. The cinematography was spectacular for this movie's time. The fighting added much excitement to the film. The movie showed the British's fighting techniques accurately. I enjoyed watching the British soldiers face such overwhelming odds to become victorious.

Summary: A Great War Movie
Review: Zulu is an excellent account of the Battle of Rorke's Drift. The acting is very good in this movie. Director Cy Endfield does a great job at coreographing the battle scenes. The movie sticks to the truth for the most part. I recommend this movie to all people even if they don't like war films.

Summary: Wonderful

Summary: Unbeleivable but true story of pride on both side of lines
Review: An eye opening story that contrasts the might and power of the Zulu Nation against 90 homesick British soldiers in a war they don't want to be in. Best remembered for, amongst a number of superb perfomances, as Micheal Caine's first role, playing against cast as an upper class British Officer. Well worth seeing.
