Rating: Summary: Thoughtful and comical Review: THE WOODEN MANS BRIDE is a movie about a woman who is traveling to meet and marry her husband. But as it turns out her to-be husband has an accident and ends up dying. When the woman arrives at the house she finds out the awful news and to make it worse her to-be mother-in-law forces her to marry a wooden statue of the man so that the mother-in-law will have security and honor. So the movie starts with that as the plot and takes off from there. I would recommend this movie because it has quite a bit of humor in it but it is also a very serious crisis, because this did used to happen to women. It shows the viewer a part of Chinese history but also lets us find humor and enjoyment in it.
