Summary: No Pilot greatly devalues this set
Review: Sadly, the absence of the pilot episode really hurts the value and appeal of this collection.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Get the European DVD-box; it has the Pilot included!
Review: DVD 1 has the pilot & episode 1
DVD 2 has episodes 2, 3 & 4
DVD 3 has episodes 5, 6 & 7
DVD 4 has the extra's.

The DVD-set of the year! Stunning image & sound quality, a story which is still as fresh, intrigueing and fascinating as back in 1990, and on top of that, lots of extra's. Such as: deleted/altered dialogues/scenes, a documentary on David Lynch, commentary tracks for each episode (unfortunately not by Mr. Lynch himself),

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: show speaks for itself, good extras
Review: They did a good job putting this dvd together. The extras are interesting, and entertaining. They got directors, producers, and actors rounded up to provide interesting commentary and other fun stuff.

I can not wait for the second season. Please don't delay!!!

Summary: best dvd i have....
Review: i got this set for christmas and all i can say is wow! awesome set. this is my all-time favorite tv series. comes with 2 eps per disc, probably because of the digital enchanced video and audio taking up so much room. this is a must-have for any dvd collection. all you people crying about how it doesnt come with the pilot episode, u can buy the pilot and fire walk with me on amazon .... worth the money!!

Summary: BEWARE!
Review: Before you assume that I am going to complain about the omission of the pilot, I'm not.

What I want to remind everyone of before they rush to buy season 1 on DVD, is what happened when the VHS releases came out....

Season 1 was released on VHS, then later the complete series (seasons 1 & 2) was released in a boxed set. So anyone who had bought season 1 had to buy it again in the complete set.

How do we know that won't happen with the DVD release? Why buy season 1 if they are going to release it with season 2 in a complete set?

Again I say, BEWARE! Unless you have money to burn... I'd wait!

Summary: missing pilot
Review: Disappointed that the pilot episode is not included. It makes it difficult to enjoy a series when the pivotal episode is missing.

Summary: oh laura
Review: if you've only seen Fire Walk With Me, watch how it all started...David Lynch is briliant andthe plot is twisted enough to keep you watching and guessing.

Summary: Twin Peaks with the PILOT
Review: You can get this superb series WITH THE PILOT INCLUDED on Region2
I managed to stop myself buying it on R1 (i do not know how!!)and waited for the UK release and im glad i did because it includes the original US pilot - not the edited european pilot -so forget that very poor quality R0 pilot from taiwan. GET THE COMPLETE SERIES 1 as it should have been and enjoy the greatest US Television show EVER!

Summary: Great Series, Horrible tapes
Review: While the Twin Peaks series is one of the best things ever to appear on a TV, these tapes dont do the series justice. First they attempt to pack 5 episodes on each VHS tape, and in order to do this they are done in very low quality. Both the audio and video suffer, though the audio is really the worst part. After viewing the tapes a few times, it seems like they may actually be getting worse, the audio has almost completely dropped out in some places. My advice is to get out of the dark ages and get the DVDs

Summary: Fantastic - But Worried
Review: If you love Twin Peaks just buy this DVD collection, because you will enjoy watching them forever. But I do worry that so much attention and art went into this first season, will they ever complete all episodes. I pray so, this program influenced so much of TV thereafter it should be recorded in a format to last forever. Hell, I am ready to order every episode now in the new DVD format!
