Review: If you are any sort of a connisseur of movies, do not even think of watching this movie. Bad story, bad acting, and the worst of the nonsense humour that Desai is famous for. Even Amitabh cannot rescue the comedy or the plot. Just a bad, bad, bad, bad movie.

Review: This an excellent movie, I grew up watching it. I recall memories when my brother and I would pretend to be the characters. I was Kishan and he was Ameet, well it's a great movie has action drama suspense and comedy. All I have to say is CHAKAAADEH PHAATEH!

This film has everything in a Bollywood film (1979)Action/Romance/Comedy/Family Drama and is very Serious.
-Storyline-Nirupa Roy gives birth to 2 twins but her evil husband (Amjad Khan) abandons her and Leaves her 2 suffer alone. (He even tells her 2 orphan the kids and to go in prostitution)Along comes Kader Khan acting like a brother to Nirupa Roy and tells her that he wil give her shelter and work for her and her 2 kids. Instead he sells her to a brothel.Luckily for her a undercover cop was their to rescue her on that very day, But Kader Khan elopes with one of her kids (Amitabh Bachchan) and sells him to a drunkard. Thats when the storyline starts. Nirupa Roy is left to lookafter her other son Shashi Kapoor in poverty, While her other son (Amitabh Bachchan) who is seperated is selling alcohol, Treated like dirt and growing up the hard way in life. Years later The brothers meet and lots of jokes and action from here. Thats all i will say..........so does amitabh reunite with the family......do they find there Evil Dad....Will they get revenge...... (It is well worth renting out)

Summary: Classic Indian musical
Review: This is a wildly entertaining story about two brothers growing up on opposite sides of the law. The musical numbers are fabulous, the women are gorgeous, and overall the movie has a flash and exuberance that puts Hollywood to shame. The stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor, who are as famous in India as any American movie star, shine, and the female lead, Rekha, is not only beautiful and charismatic, but an inspired dancer. If you can deal with some technical roughness around the edges, you'll have as much fun with this movie as you would watching "Moulin Rouge" -- ... (NOTE: I've never seen a decent transfer of this movie to video, so caveat emptor.)
