Summary: Excellent, but technical problems with sound
Review: Subiela is great like usual, but unfortunately I could not enjoy this movie like his other ones since the sounds cuts off on the second part of the film. This happened on two different dvds. I hope that the distributor had fixed the problem. I will definitely buy it again once I know for sure that this has been fixed.

Summary: Update on technical problems
Review: Update to what is stated below: we had contact with the distribution company who assure us that they have remastered the DVD and corrected the problems mentioned below. We cannot yet confirm this, but hope to be able to do so soon.
We bought three copies of this DVD for the University of Cambridge, and in each copy the sound track cuts out half way through the film, and falls totally silent (the subtitles and video continue, but there is no sound).
The film itself is excellent, but the DVD appears to have been incorrectly mastered, as we are sure the problem could not be just a faulty disk in three cases. I really hope that the production company will bring out a corrected version, and let us know when it is available.

Summary: A stunning piece of imagery and imagination
Review: While I experienced the same troubles that the previous reviewer did (cuts off sound at Chapter 8), I was so entranced it almost didn't matter. The director's visual imagery captures you from early on with an image of people described as living dead riding the subway covered in seethrough plastic shrouds. The plot moves a little slow at first but once your into it, it grabs hold and won't let go.

It's unfortunate this disc has no extras, as I'd be interested in seeing a trailer for this director's other movies. Also the quality of this DVD is lesser than most other companies (even without the sound error).
