Summary: Flawed... but Worth a Look
Review: "Christina's House" is an old fashioned killer on the loose movie. It's set in a small town and avoids trying to be a hip "Scream" style slasher film.
Christina, her dad, and younger brother live in a creepy old house. Apparently someone else is secretly living there as well, killing anyone it can and disposing of the bodies before they can be discovered. Pretty creepy stuff, as anyone who's ever lived in a spooky old house themselves can attest.
The film moves along rather slowly, taking it's time to build suspense. The cast is above average as well.
Aside from a few loose ends, this is a relatively solid chiller. It's a nice change of pace from the high tech, fast paced horror films that look great, but are devoid of any real scares. "Christina's House" reminds us why we liked horror films in the first place.

Summary: There was something there...
Review: A fairly good cast in an kinda okay movie. Some good scattered moments. Near the end when the cop say, "They let him out," and Christina says she's going home...Shut off the movie. One of those tacked on, maybe they'll be a sequel endings that wasn't needed.

Summary: Not the best thriller
Review: A not so original scrips with less than talented actors. BUT, not bad when you compare it to other lower budget films.

Review: Back in 2001 my girl at the time rented this cuz I like horror movies....I dumped her soon afterwards. Stay away. Just stay away from this.

Summary: Watch this one on a slow night.
Review: Before watching this movie I did what you may be doing right now, I got a few opinions. From the reviews here you would think this movie is horrible and totally unwatchable. Not true. It's nothing to fully recommend, but it's also nothing to diss completely. It's a who-done-it, horror flick with a mild degree of chills and thrills. If you thought "I know what you did last summer" was o.k., you'll find this o.k. too.

Summary: Fascinating psychological study
Review: Christina is a prototype of the strong woman... and many reviewers can't handle that. Her story is fascinating and heartbreaking. Don't miss this psychological thriller!

Summary: A horror movie, I think?
Review: Hmmm. What to say. This is a movie about Christina, who lives in a house. She's a teenage girl, lusted after by pretty much everyone male in the movie---which seemingly includes her father. She has an irritating stereotype little brother, a little blonde for a best friend, and a boyfriend trying his hardest to be a really bad Mulder rip-off. But he is no Mulder and Christina is defintely no Scully. As the movie more meanders along rather than unfolds, you find out that Christina's mom is a ward of the local mental hospital. Christina, subsequently, worries that she might go a fridge too far herself. In support of this idea, goofy and bizarre things start happening around the ole' homestead, and nobody sees them but her.

Now, enter the completely desultory handy man, a much younger parody of Snyder. He just kind of lingers around, letting himself in and out at will, ostensibly "fixing" things. And when he finally goes into his villain routine, he displays superhuman strength and near invulnerability to physical harm---though at no point has any hint of the supernatural been established. I think think this movie knows WHERE it wants to go. I think they just called it a horror movie because they didn't know what else to call it. And they weren't that far off course. This movie is horror. This movie is just odd, like walking outside and seeing a grass-green sky, or cat-hair-flavored ice cream.
