Summary: A charming romance with a realistic picture of life in Irela
Review: The Matchmaker is a charming romantic comedy with a realistic picture of life in the West of Ireland. The situation was realistic yet romantic because of the location and the circumstances of the Matchmaking Festival. All of the characters had depth and appeal. I watch it over and over again.

Summary: Best Irish Romantic Comedy that I have seen
Review: I have seen this movie many times. I can't get sick of it. I love the humor in it and of course the scenery. It makes me want to go to Ireland. Garofalo is funny as always. The chemistry between all of the characters is wonderful.

Summary: wonderful! Plenty full of great Irish wit and sarcasm!
Review: Casting genius and the humorous banter between Janeane Garafalo and David O'Hara, are part of what makes this lighthearted comedy a must-see. Milo O'Shea(the Matchmaker)and a cast of other Irish actors, give us a glimpse of their famous Irish humor and lifestyle. This movie is also filled with music from Van Morrison & The Chieftains, The Waterboys, as well as some tradtional Irish music and ballads. It is truly a disappointment that there is no soundtrack available.

Summary: Interesting, funny, with nice, if not great, acting
Review: I found all the characters in this to be interesting, although this is not a "Deep" movie, it is very easy to watch. Funny without being overbearing and Garofalo is great, as always.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This movie is cute and entertaining from the beginning.
Review: I loved the actors. They were all picked perfectly for their parts even muffy the dog.I love David O'hara,he makes you smile. This movie is a nice pick me up when you need a smile.A sound track would have been nice though.

Summary: Disappointing, especially for Garofalo fans
Review: We found this video to have a rambling, disconnected story line with very few laughs. There are characters and side issues introduced with little relevance to the main story. We like Jeanine Garofalo - loved "The truth about cats and dogs", but found her and the entire cast to be flat and un-funny.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great and funny romantic comedy!!!!!!
Review: Set in Ireland, this is a wonderful and funny and romantic comedy! Garofalo is great in a romatic lead as well as comediane. One of my faves!!!
