Review: Wow, this is a fun movie.
You'll see by the other reviews that there are two versions--one 92 ish minutes and one 85 minutes long. Even though Amazon.com's customer service says the version for sale here is the 92-minute version, it isn't. The one for sale here is the 85 minute version. That's stated clearly on the dvd case.
A great film, anyway.

Summary: A wonderfully engaging British comedy
Review: Written by Richard Curtis, who later penned Four Wedding and a Funeral, Notting Hill and the script for Bridget Jones' Diary, the movie follows the misadventures of Dexter King, an American actor struggling to get by in London. Jeff Goldblum is his usual kooky self as Dexter and Emma Thompson plays his sly love interest, Kate. This is a tremendously good-natured movie. It will make you smile. The Tall Guy will be a bit much to take for you cynics out there. It is a ROMANTIC COMEDY and celebrates and revels in that fact from the start. I loved the fact that the Comedy part of the formula was a little mischievous. There is a blind man that is allergic to his guide dog. Dexter gets his big break when he lands the lead in Elephant!, the musical version of John Merrick's life. The highlight of the show is the most unique sex scene in the history of modern cinema. The Tall Guy will be a movie you totally love or you will think me an idiot for recommending. Give it a try next time you are looking for "something fun."
