Summary: Good Sequel to Horror Classic
Review: Demons 2 is the sequel to Demons which featured patrons at a theater being mysteriously trapped and transformed into demonic creatures. Demons 2 starts off with a high rise apartment full of people going about their lives until an unhappy teen (played by the director's daughter) at her birthday party goes off on her own and watches a TV documentary of what happened the last time the demons made their appearance. A demon featured on the show actually enters the room of the girl and transforms her into a demon. This starts the ball rolling for more and more transformations. The building's security system then goes haywire and traps all of the tenants inside as well as destroying the telephone system. Filled with splatter effects and enough atmosphere to give a few chills, Demons 2 is a satisfying sequel although there are some bad spots such as one "scary" demon who bursts from an infected child's chest. The demon looked more cute and cuddly than menacing. Also puzzling in a scene showing the last stand for some apartment dwellers in the building's garage, hardly anyone picks up on the idea of using cars to kill attacking demons. Even with that, I'd still recommend the film.

Summary: High Rise Hell
Review: Demons 2 rocked ! It was just as good as the first. It had great transformation scenes, I mean that one with the dog...And it was so much fun watching the lead girl take a hissy fit at her party and then turning into a demon, and killing everybody, you go girl !

Summary: This Movie Has A Good Story
Review: First of all, I love the introduction of the movie. The voice that describes how the demons came upon the earth sounds mythical and the music in the background is intense (reminiscing the work of scary death metal band Samael). Overall, the intro is an attention getter. First, the fact that people become a demon when they get touch by the claws or blood of one is a remarkable idea. Second, the fact that these demons move quickly and not slow (like the ones in Night Of The living Dead) makes the movie more intense. Third, I like the idea that there are different situations happening when attacked by demons. For instance, one person becomes a demon when trapped in an elevator, many in a parking lot, and others at the roof of the building. Most scary movies will have a few people die (around 3) but this one goes the extra mile on intensity. Fourth, this movie has some pretty good actors and actresses that take their lines seriously. Unfortunately, there are a few glitches in the movie. First, condominium buildings do not have the front doors bullet proof and lock when the electricity goes out. Second, because the electricity went out in the entire building, the phones and elevators should not have work, afterwards. Third, the T.V. production studio next to the condominium (towards the end of the movie) did not fully explain itself on why the demon came out of the T.V earlier on, although it had something to do with it. Fourth, if the tiny screaming demon came out of the infected demon boy, then other infected people should have experience the same. On the other hand, if these glitches would have been fully explained, the movie would have been one of the greatest scary films of all time. In addition, some of the people that played the demons did not look scary at all and some really did. The demon outfits could have been enhanced if the producer would have told the actors/actresses to wear outfits reminiscing the style of Linda Blair in the Exorcist. All in all, Italian people prove to be real creative with all horror films in the 80's, unlike today's typical psycho killer movies from Hollywood.
This is a good movie to any person that likes supernatural horror movies.

Summary: I love this movie!
Review: I had been sort of apprehensive about seeing this movie. I heard it was a lot like the first, and honestly, I didn't like the first. It just didn't appeal to me too much.

Finally, I saw "Demons 2."

At first, I noticed some amazingly similar aspects of the sequel that had already been in the first, and I thought, "Oh great. Same story, new cast and setting." And in some ways, that's what it was. But, actually, it was much more exciting. There were much more thrills, for some reason. People were being were being killed off and turned into the demons all the time, and it was actually pretty scary during the scenes in the parking garage. One cool thing was that you never knew who would live and who would die (or suddenly become a demon) and I was guessing till the end. All in all, a great movie. Some of it was left unresolved, but the story wasn't so important. It was just a great movie, and a lot of fun. A great movie to watch with friends. It's a great time if you can sit back and just enjoy it for what it is.

Summary: sequels are never better than the original ...
Review: I loved the original Demons but this one is not really what I've expected ... The story is not in a theater anymore, the story takes place during a birthday party in a building where something goes wrong with a TV show... If you've watched the first one, then you know what is going to happen ... People running everywhere, people changing into demons and gore, gore, gore .... I just think that the movie makers should have been thinking about something more original and not a simple copy of the first scenario ... But how many sequels are like that ??? So, if you're interessted by Demons 2, rent it first and then you'll have your own idea ...

Summary: Gruesome laughs for the trash seeker
Review: I may have been a little harsh in my review of the original "Demons", but truth is, I have a soft spot for both films, even though this sequel is waaaay below the original in terms of quality. Firstly, it's almost a remake rather than a sequel, with TV sets instead of a cinema acting as the entrance point for the demons. The apocalyptic ending to the first movie apperas to have come and gone, and barely raises a ripple here, as people in a huge apartment block settle down to a TV movie showing the same hideous demons going about their business. Before you know it, monsters are squeezing throught the TV sets and taking possession of innocent residents!
The film has one great set piece in which the first victim of demon possession undergoes a hideous transofrmation in the middle of her own birthday party and proceeds to tear all the guests to shreds. There is real tension in this scene as her pals sing happy birthday to her, unaware that she is about to ge beserk! Sadly, it's horror-by-numbers all the rest of the way, as adults, children and pet dogs all get the demon take-over treatment. The film just strings gory encounters together, and it even duplicates the original with the arrival of a gang of thugs in a speeding car. To be blunt, it all just really goes nowhere, albeit at high speed. Plus there's huge plot holes everywhere, especially in the many daft reasons put in place as to why people can't get out of the building (and what the hell is going on with that TV studio at the end?). Still, you won't be bored watching Demons 2, but then again, you probably won't be scared either.

Summary: Not worth buying...
Review: I saw this in high hopes that it would be a good movie, since I've heard a lot about the director. Instead, it's just disturbing at some points and just stupid at others. It's good if you want to show it with other horror films and rent it, but I don't think that it's worth buying.
