Summary: One of the best since the first
Review: My title sounds sort of strange, because most hate it, but it's the truth. This and the fourth and the fifth and the sixth and the first were good, unlike the other films in this series. Three of the Friday the 13th movies were way better than this, but this one is good. I have not seen this since it was released in theatres, but I will give the best explanation I can: Jason has been frozen for a long time, some people thaw him out and bring some other woman back to life. A woman kills jason, knocks him into some machine, and that makes him turn into the "Robotic Demon." Sounds stupid right? WRONG. This is a movie you can go into with an open mind and enjoy, turn the lights off too. I promise you, if you do those two things: turn the light off and keep an open mind, you will have a load of fun with this 10th installment of the legendary Friday the 13th saga.

Here are short reviews for the whole series:
Friday the 13th- 3rd best in the series.
Friday the 13th part 2- slow, but it has it's moments.
Friday the 13th part 3- pretty bad, but he gets hockey mask!
Friday the 13th part 4- 2nd best in the series.
Friday the 13th part 5- Best of all of them!
Friday the 13th part 6- Better than some...worthy sequel.
Friday the 13th part 7- Very bad. Telekinisis girl sucks. Why? I don't know.
Friday the 13th part 8- Worst in the series. Need I say more?
Friday the 13th part 9- Okay I guess, but it's still pretty low.
Jason X- 4th best in the series. FUN!
Freddy vs. Jason- Very good. Best slasher film in years.

Summary: Hillarious!
Review: I know that this was supposed to be scary, but it was really hillarious. With tons of gratuitous violence and a little bit of plotline, this movie was pretty fun to watch.

The story of Jason is developed a little more, making the other nine installments a little better in retrospect. There really wasn't too much in the way of suspense, just a lot of people getting chopped up and brutalized. Of course, plenty of people fell down while trying to run away.

Sorry, I hope I didn't spoil it for you.

Summary: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS GARBAGE...
Review: This movie was boring, stupid and not scary. Just a lame excuse to show gore and skin. Stick with the first four F13TH movies since they are much better than this swill... JASON VS. FREDDY was just as worthless as well (I walked out of that one before I got to the end). There should be a law against people making endless sequels. MAKE THEM STOP, SOMEONE?!?!?! The first movie will always be the best... Don't waste your time on this one...

Summary: worst jason movie
Review: First of all i thought this movie was going to be totally different. The movie takes place in space he starts killing people then they cant stop him so they use a robot who by the way gets real cocky. Only jason fans will like this so if your looking for a good horror movie dont bother buying this movie rent it first.

Summary: Big bloody fun; check your intelligence at the door
Review: Oh boy was this movie fun! Jason X is the quintessential guilty pleasure; so campy, so cheesy, so absurd that it's damn cool. Jason X was definitely made with the intention of satisfying the long-time fans, with plenty of homages and inside jokes. All the classic "Friday" signatures are back; references to Crystal Lake (now "Crystal Lake research facility", ha ha!), the trademark Jason music, and yes, plenty of horny, half-naked teenagers ready to get hacked by our favourite machete-wielding goalie. The man himself, the indestructable Jason Vorhees is back in top form as the bad guy we all love to cheer on.
The movie makes a very good choice in not taking itself seriously, and is deliberately cheesy to the extreme, almost to the point of being a parody of other Jason films, and of slasher films in general to a lesser extent. However, in the end it worked for me. I particularly enjoyed KM14, the sexy female android that dueled against Jason and had almost as much attitude as Vorhees himself. (I said almost).
The only thing that weighed Jason X down were the unforgiveable number of plot holes. I could ignore a few, but the writers really pushed it with absurd events. I mean, I know this isn't exactly Shakespeare, but give the audience some credit! Why was the only rescue ship 4 parsecs away when "Earth 2" was right nearby? Couldn't they have sent a rescue craft from Earth 2? Also, the bionically enhanced Jason was NOT cool. Fortunately we only had to endure it for the very end of the film, but the filmmakers need to realise that Jason Vorhees is only cool when he's "practically" invinicible; we like to see the bullets actually penetrate him, then watch him continue to walk towards his victim. It's no fun with the bullets just bounce off him. Give the teenagers some chance!
Other than minor flaws, if you are a fan of the man in the hockey mask, you shan't be disappointed. It's great, machete-hacking fun. If you're not, just try to take the movie with a grain of salt, and enjoy the extreme cheesiness, and maybe you'll get it into the franchise too :-)
P.S. Jason can whup Freddy any day of the week! (Especially Friday)

Summary: another one, man will this **itty franchise ever die
Review: I got bored easily with the crappy dialouge and the stupid killings. man this franchise has gone on way to long and when they bring Jason back with all metal and stuff. I just wanted to stop it and rewind it and bring it back right there. horribly directed. I mean the Freddy series is better then this hunk of dung. theres a couple in the series I like but that was way back when. obviously I thought where Jason went into the Crystal Lake reality and hit those 2 girls against the tree while they were in that sleeping bag, that was the only good part. fo people who dont have brains or the smart knowledge

Summary: Part 10 Is Just For Jason Fans
Review: The Friday the 13th series clearly has it's moments. Part 1 back in 1980 was a horror classic. A few sequels with horny teens geting stalked by Jason were well done as well such as part 4 and 6. Jason X is just too unrealistic. Don't get me wrong I could understand that all Jason fans would really like this movie, but thr FT13 series killed it with the sequels. I know atleast this did not take place in the woods , but Jason in a spaceship is like an alien series movie, with a killer on the loose in a spaceship. It had horny teens making love in a spaceship rather than a cabin or tent. It is a bloody movie just like the others with a lack of suspense. Kane Hodder does a solid job playing Jason but these FT13 movies are the same old thing all the time, we have seen Jason kill in the woods many times but this time he just does it in a spaceship. All Jason fans will still be entertained, but this movie is well not the worst of the series but one of the worst in the series. Beleive me Part 1 and 6 are the two best of the series, all true Jason fans should watch this as part of the series which was dieng slowly untill Freddy battled Jason, the series will contine to live with a Freddy Vs. Jason Sequel Written all over it, especially if Jason also battles Michael Myers In a three way.

Summary: "Don't worry! He just wanted his machete back!"
Review: Unless gore scares you, Jason X is not frightening. I would label it as more of a bloody/action movie. It's highly enjoyable, of course. Lexa Doig (as Rowan) did a great job with her role and I really enjoyed Lisa Ryder's Kay-Em 14, my favorite of the whole crew.

Believe it or not, I have never seen ANY one of the Friday the 13th movies, yet I saw this one. I loved it so much, I had to buy it!

I really enjoyed Jason X. There's some comedy here and there. The dumbest scene in the movie would have to be the campers in the virtual sequence - so stupid. Oh well.

Use the Jump to a Death featurette and go to the two most sickening deaths in the movie: Adrienne's and Janessa's. A shattered skull and metal grating...eww. It doesn't show Janessa being sucked through the metal grating, but it sure is implied when you see some bloody pieces of her stuck on it. And Adrienne's death, well, you'll just have to SEE that one.

If you're a fan of the series, I recommend you see this one. Not a fan of the series? SEE IT ANYWAY!

Summary: Check your brain and enjoy the ride
Review: Pop this DVD in and while you are waiting for the menu to load up, put your brain on pause. Okay, you're now ready to enter the world of Jason Vorhees. Let's face it, if you watch these things because you are looking for great cinema, you have gotten off at the wrong stop. I might suggest you get back on the bus and go rent something else.

Is this a great movie? No. Is this a fun and bizarre romp through the horrific world of Camp Crystal Lake? Heck yes! After summer camp, New York and a trip to hell what do you do? You go to space of course! I'm amazed that the folks behind this were able to head to the nearest galaxy at all. Space movies demand a lot more budget than the Friday films have ever had, but amazingly these guys managed to wring a lot out of the meager 10 million they were given to make this film. Sure the cast is no one special, but isn't that the point? The sets are surprisingly good and they did a lot with digital effects which makes this film look a lot more expensive then it is.

As for the cast, Lexa Doig puts on the best performance. You may have seen her in Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda or Earth: Final Conflict. She's building up quite a few credits in the Sci Fi world so I would say she definitely doesn't fall into the category of making a Friday movie and then dissapearing. I get a kick out of Lisa Ryder as Kay Em also. Androids are tough to play, she does a nice job. Maybe they can add her to the Enterprise cast, heaven know that show needs something. Kane Hodder continues in the roll of Jason and he is perfect in the role of the hulking brute. I guess if the Oscars ever adds that as a category he's got it made.

As for the female factor. Well, this is probably the number two reason people see these movies. Kristi Angus probably has the lead in this category, but screen time is minimal, see next paragraph regarding the liquid nitro. Melyssa Ade lasts a lot longer and is a better actress, so keep your eye out for her. I love the look and hairstyle of one of the VR girls (Kaye Penaflor or Tania Maro). Sorry, I have no idea which is which? But it is just so 70's early 80's. Perfect.

As for the "kills" which is why many(all?) of you are considering this movie. Well, the liquid nitro one right at the beginning of the movie is pretty darn unique. After that, there's a lot of standard stuff, though the giant drill bit qualifies as the worst line on the movie. I'll make you see that one yourself, classically bad.

The best part? Well, you HAVE to see Jason enter the VR world of Camp Crystal Lake. This scene is just over 2 minutes, but it's perfect. Not only do they parody everything these movies are about, but the sleeping bag bit will make you spit your popcorn out.

Of course the ending leaves things wide open. What did you expect? Of course the sequel path will probably follow the Freddy vs Jason movie since that made the big bucks, so I don't guess we'll get Camp Crystal Lake in the 25th Century. Oh well, one can only hope!

As for the DVD you have a nice "Making of" feature and a good history of Jason through the years. Overall they did a great job on this DVD. Will we see more of the maniac in a hockey mask? Freddy vs. Jason is at 90 million and counting at the box office. You bet you will!
