Summary: I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!
Review: The first time I watched this epic film, I loved it! Not only did Akkad (director) do a fascinating job in not displaying the Prophet Mohammad (which is strictly off-limits in Islam) and still show what happened in Mohammad's time, but he showed every highlight of the Prophet's prophethood. The acting is at top-notch, and Anthony Quinn's performance was spectacular. There should be more movies done like this on other prophets. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who loves drama and medievil history. This epic is abslutely wonderful!

Final note: If you want the best out of this movie, watch it on DVD! I personally have and it was a lot better than watching it on video.

Summary: The best film about Islam
Review: It is the best film that I have seen about Islam. There must be more like this film.

Even I think some scenes better than Mel Gibson's "Bravehearth"; if you compare to the year of the production and original ideas. If you think it is too long, I think it's short for 23 years of life of the prophet and you will not bore any if you read some about this real story before wath the film.

It is classic.

Summary: great opportunities for interfaith understanding.
Review: One of the finest movies on Islam ever made. It is a movie made for those looking for an objective portrayal of the worlds fastest growing faith, Islam. The movie should help dispel and refute the lies and fraud that the popular news media portrays on Islam.... It is truly a great movie. Being a Moslem by birth, I am happy to see a very historical, true and accurate picture of the struggles of Islam and the development of this religion. This is a movie I enjoyed watching and I think that anyone would enjoy watching regardless of his or her religious preference. I found myself having a much greater understanding of my own heritage and a very deep respect for Christianity and Jewish faiths after watching this movie. The fact that Islam, Christianity and Judaism were good friends of one another during the time of our prophet is greatly overlooked by all the three religions. I think that it is a pity that the three religions that share so much in common, worship the same God, spent so much time fighting one another. I highly recommend it for anyone and all ages. I am very surprised this movie was not a box office smash. Again, it is one of the best I have ever seen...it answers a lot of questions and presents some great opportunities for interfaith understanding.

Summary: Islam ... the final Word of Allah
Review: I saw this movie not long ago at a special gathering of Muslim Student Association at Purdue University, Indiana. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Being brought up in a muslim family, I knew the history, the suffering and the pains of the early followers of Islam. But never I had ever pictured it to such a depth. It brought to life each and every word that I had read of the muslim histroy and the struggles of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). It touched soo deep at heart that I still see the whole film infront of my eyes. At the end of the movie tears were rolling down my eyes and was surprised to see many muslim and non-mulsims a like touched the same way. Believe me after seeing this movie your attitude and feeling towards muslims will be vey different than what they are now. Anyone who is even slightly interested in Islam will find this movie very appealing as it will show you what true Islam is.

Summary: One of the greatest movies of all times.
Review: I've seen this movie twice so far, and to tell the truth, you feel the you've been wasting your time watching other things. It's a kind of movie that makes you stay silent for a while after you finish it, staring at nothing and thinking about all the ideas that came to your mind in the last two hours. YOU MUST SEE THIS ONE, believe me, you will like it.

Summary: A movie that really does give a messgae.
Review: This movie is a must for all movie lovers. A fantastic script, cast, director. This movie was under rated when it was originally released because it is a definite classic such as the likes of Lawrence of Arabia, Ben Hur, an epic through and through. Anthony Quinn should have won an Oscar for his performance and the director (Akkard) should also have won one. There won't be another like it so don't miss out on an ever stimulating film. Many people don't know of the incredible performance of the cast as this film has been forgotten not only by the film industry but also by television. Made in 1974 it still hasn't been shown on television.I have been trying to fight for a re-release at the cinema so that everybody should have the same experience that I had when I watched it.
