Summary: Horrible
Review: That movie was a poor excuse for a movie. Even the actors were bad. I love horror movies, but this movie was not considered "HORROR". It was not worth my money to see such a boring movie like that. It didn't make sense and I hope that there will never be a part two. I hope this movie will never make it to DVD video, because I gaurantee that no customer will be it. It reminds me of one of those Chinese reject movies that nobody ever watches. If it was possible, I would rate this movie below zero into the negative. Bottom line, is that this movie totally SUCKED!!!

Summary: So bad it's a classic!
Review: This movie was so bad it is destined to be a six pack classic! The type of movie you watch with friends after a six pack of beer. I laughed HARD at the 3 bads, bad acting, bad script, and bad effects. This should be the next movie for Mystery Science Theater 3000. So many good jokes can come from it. Don't wast your cash seeing it at the theater but this is a must rentel!

Summary: It all depends on what you're looking for ...
Review: Horror means different things to different people ... For some it's all about being scared out of your wits by what's happening on screen. For others, it's about gore and blood and guts. For others its about creepy settings, monsters and far out villains. And for still others it's about hot women in little or no clothing facing horrific perils. So whether or not you'll enjoy House of the Dead depends on what you're after.

Scary? No ... this movie isn't scary at all. At least not to an adult.

Bloody? Moderately so. LOTS of zombies get blown to shreads with the heavy fire power packed by the ever dwindling cast of primaries. And I didn't realize that zombies bleed a LOT. Humans in this movie don't seem to bleed quite so profusely.

Monsters? Well, if you're into zombies you might get into it. There are LOTS of zombies ... but they don't seem to hold up well during fight scenes ... of which there are also an endless stream.

Far Out Villains - Yes, as a matter of fact, this movie does have a far out villain. He's not particularly impressive, but he's there being creepy behind the scenes during most of the flick and does his best to off the cast primaries toward the end.

Hot Women in Peril ... well, for the first 20 minutes or so, we see a lot of very hot women pealing out of their clothes, prancing around then falling into peril. But then that part of our tour ends abruptly (there must be a quota for this sort of thing) and from there on out, everyone stays clothed. Kudo's to Ona Grauer who does a delightful job of showing off what she's got even when clothed.

If you're looking for a GREAT horror flick ... this isn't it. If you're expecting a GREAT horror flick ... you'll be very disappointed. If you're looking to be scared ... you won't be. If you're looking for an intelligent plot or deep characther development ... don't look here. If you're a fan of intensely graphic violence ... this will probably seem silly to you. BUT ... If you're looking for a moderately bloody zombie shoot out on survivor island with an appetizer of partial nudity ... this will probably fit the bill. Catch the matinee and save a few bucks for ice cream.

It all depends on what you're looking for.

Summary: Waste of money
Review: After leaving this movie, I feel less educated, I believe my brain cells have left my head and fallen to the theater floor. The acting in the movie was non-existent. The clips from the video game did nothing to add to the movie whatsoever, only to annoy those that watched it. No one in the movie was slightly scared, only laughing at the sheer stupidity of whoever wrote/directed/acted or was otherwise involved in this movie. At times it seems like the director was shooting towards a matrix like atmosphere with the time warp, but with no success. The zombies looked too cheesy & the characters were annoying at best. The music was the only reason to enjoy this movie, besides the horribly cheesy lines. If you decide for whatever reason to waste your time and money to see this movie, I hope you have little to no expectations or are atleast a HUGE fan of the game (although I'm not quite sure that will even help). So go buy the soundtrack, but I am begging you not to spend your hard earned dollars on this movie. Hey, atleast I got a laugh or two out of it; oh, was that not the director's intent? Oh well.

Summary: an execellent display of how things CAN SUCK!
Review: Whoop-De-Doo. One of my favorite 1st person shooters is made into a movie. I saw all the previews for it and they were intriging. As, I expected it was nothing more than a zombie shoot-em-up.
It starts off when some teens(of course) try to get to the biggest rave party of all time. When they get there it is deserted. (Whoda thunk it?) Anyway, it turns out that their partyers are ALL DEAD.(Bum Bum BUMMM!) They encounter two shaky teens saying that the partyers have been eaten by somebies. (...)
Now it turns out that their captain (Whose name is Kirk. Some one is a trekkie out there.) has a cache of illeagle weapons. That part is so unbelieably stupid that I couldn't help but laugh at that. Anyway there is a resemblence of a plot.(no spoilers). It turns out that all this is, is teenagers shooting, chopping, blowing up , etc zombies.
Oh yeah, there is this one part where a zombie throws this axe at this shot-gun weilding girl. It was flying straight for her and she jumped and a nice 360 happened and shot the zombie. THE AXE COMPLETLY MISSED HER! So at the end all I could think of, as my rowdy friends threw ice at the movie screen, is WHY???

Summary: Better Than Resident Evil
Review: Okay, first things first, if you're looking for a very suspenseful movie, then don't bother wasting your time to see it, but there is some suspense in it. There are some game footage scenes in the movie during the transition frome scene-to-scene points, credits, and in some scenes of the movie where the animations depict how the monsters are killed. I prefer the animations during the credits and the transition points, but sometimes, they're just an annoyance in other areas. That's the only complaint I have so far. Looking for blood, guts, [breasts], and gore? You got all right here, but it's not too gratitious with nudity.

Okay, this is the first SEGA game that I ever saw become a movie. I'm a big fan of SEGA and had high expectations when I heard this would be made a movie, especially a German director at the helm, but the movie met my expectations! Now, if you want to know the pace of the movie it's this - fast, furious, and there are moments of romance and drama, which is good. But if you've played the first game and finished it, you'll be surprised by the ending of this movie. This movie would be considered a prequel to the first game!

ENJOY THE RAVE BUT REMEMBER...YOU WON'T SURVIVE ONE NIGHT!

Summary: Horrible Movie with Cheap-O Zombies
Review: Horrible movie. I have seen better zombies(and effects) in 1970's Italian Horror Movies. I thought it might be cool because the zombies move pretty fast, but, they never really did anything with it. There really is no story or likeable characters, but that's the same with most horror films. There is absolutely nothing entertaining in this movie.

Summary: if i could give it less than one star i would
Review: THIS MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE!!! i can't believe i wasted $6.50 watching a movie version of a video game. i had expected more from the phrase "based on the game...." - thinking i would see something better developed than something like the live version of "the rocky horror show"; actors playing out this game. save your money...don't go and don't rent it when it's out on dvd.
