Summary: Experience the passion, joy and beauty that is Bocelli
Review: Bocelli has captivated my entire family from my 2 year old daughter on up. His voice is filled with pure passion and covers you like the smoothest silk. I am captivated by his heavenly gifts and become filled with joy and peace upon listening to his unbelievable voice. Watching him perform selections that are already my favorites simply adds to the pleasure of having discovered Andrea Bocelli. This selection is highly recommended for anyone who will open themselves up to being taken away by a memorable experience.

Summary: A STAR IS BORN!
Review: If you long for the ancient sights of Tuscany and the sound of heavenly music, Andrea Bocelli will surely capture your heart with his riveting performance at the Piazza dei Cavalieri in Pisa, Italy. Joined by Sarah Brightman- the British star of Cats, Nuccia Focile, and Italian pop-artist Zucchero, the charismatic Bocelli brings a rare talent to his brilliant interpretation of operatic arias, pop songs, and favorite Neopolitan classics. I have shared A Night In Tuscany with many of my friends and family and all have been equally enthralled. While you're at it, be sure to pick up the CD, Romanza, which includes an Italian libretto.

Summary: Touching
Review: No matter how often I see Sarah Brighton and Andrea Bocelli sing "Time To Say Goodbye", I am emotionally stirred. His allure and magnificient voice is complemented by her musical theater style. It is tender, intimate and near perfection. However, the entire performance could be shortened and still be a successful endeavor. Thank you.

Summary: Beautiful and touching performance with Bocelli's friends!
Review: The Fourth Tenor is moving in his words and music as well as the obvious commradery with his vocal counterparts (John Miles and Sarah Brightman). Wonderful story of his life and family intertwined with the inspirational Italian pop-opera of Andrea Bocelli!

Summary: Very Good.... but too long (for everyone!)
Review: This video was not only a taping of one of his performances, but also included many snippets of behind the scene footage, Bocelli at home and in the studio. It gives you glimpse inside the performers world - professional and personal. The concert itself was extremely long (the video is 83 minutes!) and time took it's toll. You can tell from watching the video that even Bocelli was struggling. You are better off just listening to the Romanza cd, it's basically the same thing in much less time.

Summary: Performance Excellent! But the sound is aweful.
Review: What can you say about Andrea Bocelli...he's wonderful, and really delivers in this DVD. Unfortuntately, even the least expensive sound system will pick up flaws in the recording. If you have a decent surround sound system with Dolby Digital you'll be checking every setting, wondering what could be wrong. Fortunately it gets better as you go along in the disk...perhaps the audio engineers got the swing of it. And a couple of studio-recorded videos are lovely.

But overall...it's a very high "it's a real shame" rating :-(

Summary: Wonderful but long, and time took it's toll on all.
Review: This video gives you an insight into Bocelli's world. The performance was overall very good but some songs were sped up or slowed down and you could tell that this was annoying to him. One song was so slow and Bocelli seemed to be struggling so that I fast forwarded. His commentaries (in excellent english) were a great asset, they broke up the monotony of the 86 minutes. This video would have been much better at about 60 minutes. Oh, and who told Sarah Brightman to where that dress, UGH! END

Summary: The Blind Tenor from Tuscany Delivers!!
Review: +++++

On this DVD, we are treated to an outdoor concert (given to a packed crowd) featuring the blind tenor from Tuscany (region of central Italy), Andrea Bocelli. The setting for this concert is the historic Piazza dei Cavalieri in Pisa, Italy. Europe has embraced this man whose remarkable voice and range is capable of singing great operatic arias and classic popular songs.

On this DVD, are arias and popular songs that are sung primarily in Italian. There are also interspersed vignettes involving the man himself. We are also treated to gorgeous travel photography of Tuscany. All in all, we learn about the man behind the performer.

He has four guests featured in this concert:

(i) Soprano Nuccia Focile
(ii) Soprano Sarah Brightman
(iii) Italian pop star Zucchero
(iv) Italian pop singer Martina Sanchez

The music and vignettes included are as follows (asterisks indicate my personal favorites):

(1) Nessun Dorma (Puccini -Turandot)
(2) La Donna e Mobile (Verdi - L'Arlesiana)*
(3) Lamento di Federico (Celia - Tosca)
(4) E Lucean le Stelle (Puccini - Tosca)
(5) Vignette: Interview with Andrea
(6) O Soave Fanciulla (Puccini - La Boheme), duet with Focile*
(7) Brindisi (Verdi - La Traviata), duet again with Focile*
(8) Vignette: Andrea and his family
(9) Tona a Surriento
(10) Santa Lucia Luntana*
(11) O Sole Mio (Di Capua/Capurro)
(12) Vignette: Andrea in the studio
(13) Music video: Vivo Por Ella, duet with Sanchez*
(14) Con Te Partiro
(15) Romanza
(16) E Chiove
(17) Voglio Restare Cosi
(18) Caruso
(19) II Mare Calmo Della Sera (in playback)
(20) Miserere, duet with Zucchero
(21) Time to Say Goodbye, duet with Brightman*

In conclusion, the combination of music, vignettes, and sites make this an unforgettable DVD!!
