Summary: THE ONLY HORROR MOVIE YOU WILL EVER NEED!
Review: I own this video! My friend bought it for me for my birthday! Whenever I want a good scare.....I turn it on! It frightens me ever time I watch it! There are certain aspects that movie makers used to make this very realistic. The setting is great, the use of the ghost in the house and the scene with the Seance. The Seance scene is the scariest moment in horror film history, I will tell you no more. But this scene makes you want to go crazy after you see it. And the aftermath of the seance......YOU WILL FLIP OUT WHEN YOU DISCOVER WHAT THE LEAD CHARACTER DOES. You must go into this movie with an open mind. If you go in with the attitude that this cannot compare to other scary movies....then you are doomed! But you have to watch it thinking that it is scary! It is fun to be scared by this show! I cannot impress on anyone how important it is to see this movie. You can even rent it before you buy it. But you will end up wanting to own this special classic. YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!

Summary: The best horror film ever made
Review: I love horror! The first time I saw this movie it scared me out of my wits! Brilliantly acted with a supurb plot. George C. Scott and Trish Vandervere couldn't have acted better. The film is so gripping from beginning to end there's never a dull moment. It is a must see if you are truly into horror, not blood and gore which tends to be silly, laughable and completely unbievable. It will scare the daylights out of you and keep you coming back for more!!!

Summary: obvious problems?
Review: I'd like to correct the misinterpretation by 'Ishmael166@AOL.com' down below. He claimed the film has 'holes in the story'. No offence, but he mixed up two families who lived in the same house but the different period. 'C.S.B.' stands for Cola Stella Barnard who was 'killed by a coal cart' in 1909. 'Four family gravestones in the cemetary' are belong to the Barnard family who lived in the house around that time. Before that, the Carmichael family lived in the house and the boy was murdered then. 'They' left for Europe in 1906. So, there are no 'holes' that he pointed out.

Summary: Haunting, and sad murder of a crippled boy.
Review: A very frightening story about a crippled boy who is murdered by his father and an adopted child takes his identity as his own. Very well made and plotted film that will leave you with shivers and sleepless nights. I highly recommend

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST HORROR MOVIES IV EVER SEEN
Review: This is by far one of the best horror movies I have ever seen. George C. Scott gives an award winning performance in this horror classic. From the moment I hit play until I had to pry myself off the coach to hit stop, I felt like I couldnt breath through this movie. I think more movie makers should watch this movie to get an idea of what a good horror flick should be.

Summary: Do NOT watch this in the dark
Review: Peter Medak's The Changeling could be best described as the quintessential ghost(haunted house) story. It concerns the death of a little boy back in the early 1900's and to what lengths he will go to to prove the killer's identity and free his soul. George C. Scott is a professor of music who's own brush with tragedy adds to the story's dimension. I first saw this movie shortly after it's release and it scared me silly. To date, every time I watch this I still get chills and have to eventually turn on some lights! This is definately one movie to add to your collection. It certainly wears it's age well.

Summary: one of the best horror movies I've ever seen
Review: I first stumbled across this movie over 12 years ago when my brothers and I went to the local theater. They went to see a karate flick and I saw this one on my own. I was definitely in for a treat! My wife and I saw it a few years ago and she loved it! Great acting, photography and a plot that kept you guessing the whole time. The scene where the ball comes bouncing down the stairs is unforgettable! A treasure to watch with a date or spouse. I wish more films were made like this. Last weekend I saw The Sixth Sense and it reminded me of this movie. The quality is very close. Enjoy!

Summary: NOTHING..can come close to this movie!
Review: 'The Changeling' has GOT to be THE best horror movie of all time. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you at least rent this film. No movie (future or past) will come close to the thrill factor in this one! The film is a great tribute to George C. Scott's acting, and with his recent death, another valid reason for seeing the it.

Don't cheat yourselves, folks. It's the greatest horror-based thrill of a lifetime...trust me!

Summary: Thought provoking, chilling, despite obvious problems.
Review: This is a chilling, well written, well acted horror/mystery about the ghost of a murdered boy reaching out to a distraught father through the loss of his own child. Wonderful music throughout! There are, despite the quality of this movie, glaring problems, however. Holes in the story that can only be explained by a possible re-write of the story that failed to tie up the loose ends. A girl killed by a coal cart that never was develloped to add to the story, A journal with the initials C.S.B. that don't belong to any character in the story, Four family gravestones in the cemetary when there should have only been three (one of whom's is the murdered boy's who is supposed to have been buried secretly in a well and thought still alive). It is hard to believe that such glaring problems could exist in such an otherwise masterfully executed story. Anyone with info. on how to find out more about the original uncut story, feel free to Email me. TIMOTHY...
