Summary: I must disagree...
Review: with the other reviews. I bought the DVD based on the glowing superlatives I read here, and was totally disappointed. Maybe something gets lost in the translation between Spanish and English, but I kept waiting for the hilarious, fall-on-the-floor comedy, and waiting... and waiting... I couldn't finish watching the movie, because there was no point. Halfway through I realized it wasn't going to get any better. Save your money!!

Summary: off beat comedy
Review: Women on the edge was a pretty unusual movie to say the least. It involves a group of women who all fall in love with the same man and how their lives are all affected by that. The movie is pretty different from American movies but if you're willing to try something different, this would be a perfect choice.

Summary: Good
Review: Women on the Verge of a nervous Breakdown is directed by cult director Pedro Almodovar, from Spain. This film deals with actress Carmen Maura's character's neurosis, when she is abandoned by her lover. This is a stylized comedy that has great camera work and very colorful supporting characters.
