Review: I don't have much to add to everyone else's comments, but this is an awesome movie. I literally have to purchase it again because it's worn out from watching it so many times!

Summary: A Beautiful Story of Coming of Age....
Review: This is a beautiful story of two young men's journey into adulthood and self-discovery. The film portrays a very honest and realistic view of their growing friendship and love for one another that is honest and endearing. We see their relationship together as it helps to comfort their pain and raises their fears of being found out by their families. This is a genuine love story, based in love, innocence, and honesty.

Summary: Warning! This film is addictive
Review: I won't be able to add much the the glowing reviews already offered, but kinda want to add another 5 stars to the tally. In any event, my boyfriend gave me the screenplay the day after we met, and it gathered dust on a shelf for six weeks. I finally started it a few days ago and stayed up all night to finish it. I bough thte film the next day and in the three days since have seen it at least five times. It is that good. The acting is wonderful and the screenwriting sublime. As with many TV movies, don't go looking for terriffic cinematography, but the warm message of this movie overwhelms any arguable shortcomings. Smashing.

Summary: Brilliant!!! It will touch you every time you see it.
Review: I remember the first time my friend suggested that we watch Beautiful Thing. After I got over the strong British accents and could tell Ste and Jamie apart, I fell deep into this movie. The story is beautiful and brilliant in every way possible. From the plot, to the characters, it is awesome!! Don't be surprised if you get the urge to watch this movie over and over again until you know it by heart.

Summary: Must have open mind!
Review: I love this movie! It's so great, it made me cry. The music is wonderful and the movie is funny as well. You don't have to be gay to enjoy this movie or to understand it, I'm telling you this movie is a must see, and like a person said in a review "don't be surprised if you get addicted to this movie" cause I know I am! :0)

Summary: There just aren't enough stars to rate this!!
Review: I am 14 years old, and I rarely cry, if ever, over anything, but this movie touched me like nothing ever will! I cried for Jamie, I cried for Ste, and I cried becouse they couldn't be open about it. From minute one, this movie sucked me in and wouldn't let go. Like, the first night Ste stayed with Jamie, I screamed at the t.v. saying "Oh my god Ste, you know you want Jamie, and Jamie, get brave, go for it!!!!" The music, I think, played a crucial part in this movie, like someone else said, that "16 going on 17" song was SO perfect for that moment, and "Make Your Own Kind of Music" made me weep over and over while they kissed in the woods. I had to watch this move 3 times, until my mom got tired of it. I wish they could have cut some of the language from this so the others in my highschool could see it. It would have been a real eye opener for them. And sometimes, I wish my life were as easy as some movies are, but this one I could totally relate to. WORD OF WARNING: IF YOU INTEND TO WATCH THIS FILM, HAVE A BOX OF TISSUES! Thank you. :-)

Summary: It truly is a Beautiful Thing!
Review: As a young gay man, I found "Beautiful Thing" to be the most inspiring and profoundly touching film I have ever seen. It shows the real trauma that accompanies growing up gay and the trials that come with young gay love. I could really relate to the feelings and experiences shown in the movie, that's why it touched me. It explains what gay youth really go through just to be themselves and to find love. The compassion, love, and encouragement in this film are a real boost of positive self-imagery for all gay youth. I think it would have been a great source of help and incite for me when I was coming out when I was in high school. The film is of great value to all gay people, especially gay youth, it shows us that there really is something to believe in and hope for. It also explains to straight people, what it's like to be gay. The movie encourages understanding and love and would be a great tool for families and friends of gay youth. It is a definate "must-see"!!!!

Review: One of the most well written movies of my age. The whole personality of thisfilm is beautiful.

Summary: my favorite film...ever
Review: "Beautiful Thing" has the amazing ability to touch something inside that we all have felt as teens. It's the first and only time that a film has captured that indesribable feeling of first love. Coupled with the working-class setting, Jonathan Harvey's tale is absolutely beautiful. Towards the end of the film is a scene not in the original play. After the boys have discovered each other, they are finally free to be with each other alone in the woods - it's the now-famous "Make Your Own Kind of Music" scene. It's truly the most beautiful scene I've ever seen. I could watch it a zillion times.
