Summary: A must see for all young gay men!
Review: Wow! That is all I have to say. If you are gay (or even not, but open minded), and in need of some hope, then see this film. I'm dissapointed that Amazon will not make this available to people under age 18. I'm sure that it is a blanket policy for "R" movies, but if this were about a guy and a girl I am sure that the MPAA would have given it a "PG13" or "PG". How sad. Still, if you are over 18, buy it, if under, get someone to buy it for you!

Review: If you are a teen you need to see this movie. Before, I was afriad of what I was and not proud. This movie makes you realise that you are like everyone else. It saved my life in many ways.

Summary: Will I ever stop watching this? Probably not.
Review: I got this film Friday (it is now Monday), and this afternoon I shall watch it for the 4th time (as I've done for each day). It is a very touching, very truthful, and extemely well written movie; not to mention the best love story my tired heart has seen. How does one go about exchanging one's life for that of a movie characters? I would exchange my life for that of Jaime's any day. He has his ups and downs (don't we all), but he has a caring mom (a wonderful character!), and he gets that one thing that we all look for and don't always find; love. A very emotional--and more importantly: emotionally true--movie about coming out and falling in love (not necissarily in that order). Until this movie I had never heard or heard of Mama Cass, but I now intend to buy at least one album of hers (this soundtrack if such a soundtrack exists.) I highly recomend Beautiful Thing, because it truly is what it's title implies.

Summary: I watch it over and over again!
Review: This is a beautiful love story, the kind I wish I had had in my teens! I've always been a big fan of Mama Cass. Many of her songs in this movie were themes for my life. Rarely do I find a movie where the writing, directing and acting are so well done. I've known people like many of these characters so the story was believable. I anxiously await this movie to be available on DVD, and I hardly ever buy a movie.

Review: I've watched this film everyday since I got it. The pure love between the two kids is so serene. It gives you the assuarance that being gay is not somthing you would be ashamed of... Beautiful boys will be in my mind forever!

Review: This movie is by far the best gay themed film to ever hit the U.S. I felt like I was watching myself in Jamie. This film hit it right on the nail in its portrayal of coming out. The ending is a little fantasy like - But who cares, it still made me happy. I would like to see it available on DVD soon.

Review: It's a beautiful movie--young love so realistically presented. I feel unselfconscious myself when I see the dance scene at the end and I think it is one of the most romantic moments on film. I never tire of this film, and wish it would go on and on.

Summary: wonderfully sensitive film
Review: The two young gentlemen who portray Jamie and Ste should be complimented for their grand performances as teenage lovers in this lovely film. They "are" camera-pretty, despite the disclaimers of a previous reviewer (how can one not perceive the smile of their never-lost innocence?) not as the "beautiful boys" would like to be shown, indeed, but the inner beauty of each as a role-player overrides their otherwise common appearance. And the love they give each other, as it grows and ripens, is one toward which any gay person might aspire. The entire cast is superb; Jamie's Mom's love for him and acceptance is what every Mom should give every son gay or straight.

Review: I never tire of seeing this film. It is a heart warming story of young love. This is definitely a "MUST SEE".

Review: Beautiful Thing is definately not what I expected! This film tells a different story than most of your gay films today. This is a beautiful coming of age story, where relationships are focused on, and not tragedies - as in most gay cinema today. To the powers that be at Amazon and Sony: We need a DVD version soon!
